The delivery staff were excellent and very apologetic that they were not provided with the correct tools to use for securing the units together. This was a job I had to arrange myself but I had expected it to be part of the process.

Excellent Service. Robert at Aberdeen store was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The mattress ordered is of very high quality. Delivery was prompt and hassle-free. Gillies were happy to price match an offer found online. Allowing me to use a trusted, local business at the same price as the lowest online offer. The added peace of mind that this afforded was very much appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to use Gillies again, in future.

Phoned and placed order with Emma in Aberdeen store and she was very helpful and efficient explaining clearly when our new suite and dining set would be delivered.

Contact with the workmen was erratic. I received three phone calls telling me the fitters would come; on Tuesday, then on Thursday, and then on Wednesday. On Wednesday I was told no fitters were available, but I would be told when they would come. I was not told. On Thursday they arrived without notice and rang to ask where I was. When I let them in, they did a good job with the screed but removed the kickboards without consultation. On Friday the next couple of fitters arrived (as arranged) and laid the flooring, but could not replace the boards - or the door.I had to phone the fitting dept and then the joiner, who arrived early in the afternoon and replaced the boards and the door. All the work was well done and I am very pleased with the result. The eventual outcome was excellent but I think the communication between the various departments could be improved.The workmen all did a good job, were courteous, quick and tidy.I received various apologies on the phone and was treated well. I should use the firm again and recommend Gillies to friends or neighbours. Thank you.

Emma was very knowledgeable about the recliners we were looking at and pointed out the various differences. Took time to show us the colour and base options. Very good customer service overall.

We recently attended the Broughty Ferry branch with our frail elderly mother. She was keen to purchase a new bed for herself. We were met with a lovely , patient member of staff ( so sorry cannot remember her name) who discussed beds and mattresses available. After trying a few, a bed was chosen with a mattress, payment and delivery arrangements made. We were advised to phone the delivery department the next day. The delivery team delivered and installed the new bed within a short time. The whole experience was brilliant and this has been thanks to all your wonderful staff . Our Mother is sleeping well at night and absolutely adores her new bed,

From buying. the table and chairs to the delivery,was all very efficient.Would recommend Gillies , very helpful.

No pushy sales person,we were left to browse in our own time ,when we did decide on our furniture the ordering was explained fully.We were given our order on paper which I prefer, aswell as a confirmation email.
A phone call when our furniture had arrived with the store to arrange delivery well within the time estimated.
The staff were very obliging when I had to call back and arrange another date for delivery due to old furniture not being uplifted by others in time.
Good communication on day of delivery with a 2hour slot and efficient courteous delivery.

As always, from store visit, advice and help from Sales Lady, delivery update and as usual the delivery team, everything was first class.

From ordering my new dining chairs to delivery I was kept informed and deliver was exactly when on time with a 2hr delivery slot which is great when you are working

The lady who aided our search was very patient and helpful as we were both unsure of the breadth and length of the narrow rug we required. As we were on holiday in Broughty Ferry we obviously could not nip home and measure up. However given that we had purchased a rug before from the shop, when on holiday in the town we knew that the quality would be excellent. Thus we made our choice and 5 days later are back home and the rug is in situe and we are extremely satisfied and happy with our purchase. Many thanks are due to the lady who helped us acquire the rug and special thanks to the man who rapped it securely for it’s journey south of the border on the train with us.
