Ordered an aluminium bifold door, waited 5 weeks for delivery. The door seems well built (fitting it tomorrow) however, the weep holes drilled in the base of the frame are so poorly done it has gouged out the track on every one, and one has completely broken the thermal break. The lack of care was evident by the fact the metal fillings/waste was just left all over it! Couldn’t even be bothered to blow it off - air blower on Amazon are a few quid!!
They are clearly visible when the door is open and makes the door look second hand!
I contacted the company via email 4 days ago, re. Financial compensation - as have seen doors with less damage sold as damaged doors with discount and I don’t have time to wait for a replacement!!
To date have heard nothing!! Guessing they’re not interested as I’ve paid for them already!
Very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend!

Just to add, now fitted, the numpties who wrote the order number on the protective film strayed from it so I also have permanent black marker on the front of the door! Great!

This company does not even deserve 1 star!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

I had an order placed on the 4th September ensuring that the doors would be delivered within 3 to 4 weeks.

My builder was promised time after time for an update week after week and they kept saying that an update would be given the following week.

I have a small baby at home and with an open wall awaiting doors is causing an awful draft and we physically can’t sit downstairs due to this.

My order was promised to be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday this week and I am now being told Saturday which was not originally promised.

Please save yourself the stress and DO NOT order! I will be seeking advice from trading standards about this company

I had a call from them today and had detailed discussions on the facts on my order E2182 and it was found that my Builder has misled me the facts. As a courtesy they had offered a free glass fitting service. Their professional way of dealings to ascertain the facts and solutions impressed me and I recommend their products.

Glass openings are not a professional company. They do not understand VAT, do not have a proper accountant, and do not offer proper customer service. I recently tried to purchase a door and requested the reduction in VAT to 5% as is customary for properties that have been unoccupied for two years. They were unaware of this, their accountant was unaware of this (even though you only need to type this into Google and the HMRC statement comes up and is easy to understand in layman's terms), and they kept me waiting delaying my build and costing me waiting for more than a week to discuss this citing that they needed a manager's meeting including the accountant to discuss this. This simply isn't good enough and strongly indicates an incompetent and unprofessional set up which is concerning that does not know simple financial regulations. Will not be purchasing for them again.

Severely disappointed by the quality and level of service provided by glass openings.

We purchased a window a few months ago, the delivery took longer than expected but we weren’t initially concerned about this.

After receiving the order it was then stored for a couple of months whilst our extension was being finished. After the window had been fitted and extension finished we started a deep clean of the house. When we cleaned the window with warm soapy water we initially noticed some minor discolouration which we thought was due to the surface being damp. We cleaned the entire window the same. Once dried the next day we realised parts of the actual window had been discoloured despite cleaning it all the same.

We raised this with glass openings based on the fact this was a brand new window and had been cleaned in line with their aftercare. They also apparently supply a 10 year warranty on the colour lasting on their product.

After trying to just refer us to their manufacturer, despite our contract being with them, they’ve refused to provide any solutions to fixing the faulty product. They’ve sent nobody to inspect the product itself but deem it to not be covered by the warranty so are wiping their hands of the issue. This is accompanied by it taking weeks to actually get responses from them.

Steer well clear - we wish we’d seen the other reviews.

I really wanted to be able to give a 5 star review because I have been impressed with both the quality of the product and the people.

However I was sent one door that was too big and after everyone assuming it was fitting issues and spending over a week attempting to fit the doors (at my expense), we were heard and a new door sent. We got it a few weeks later and fitted it within 2 hours. Great but frustrating. We also had the glass in and out so many times it got scratched…I think this was avoidable.

Everyone I spoke to was helpful and I love the doors, they feel great…any advice on removing small scratches would be appreciated.

Sal in the office was very helpful in processing my order. He then called me few weeks later to arrange delivery, was nice to deal with one person from the office. Builders fitted it. Looks good. Thumbs up from me.

We’ve installed our bifolds last week, and I must admit I’m very impressed! Very slim Really happy with purchase.

Received a broken window, when I complained I was told it was broken being put on the delivery lorry the night before. They still went ahead and delivered the broken window!! They said they tried to ring me the night before delivery but I didn't pick up so they went ahead with delivery of the broken window! I saw the missed call and rang back early the next day, was told they didn't know why I was rang ! Broken window was delivered whilst I was off site. The men I arranged to be on site for the delivery were told it was ok it was broken they all know and are aware. Glass Openings knew they were delivering a broken window, I didn't!! Still waiting for a solution and a replacement unit!

When purchasing products from the internet and not having the opportunity to look at the quality of the product, it’s easy to be sceptical about something that appears to be too cheap to be any good, I ordered a set of bifold doors for a garden office build so took the chance and I can honestly say the quality and manufacturing of these doors are spot on the ironmongery, handle set, door guide kit are excellent and work effortlessly and by no means feel cheap they are definitely built to last,
All that added to the excellent customer service and after care supporting me with some installation advice was spot on
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend specify or install again and all at a very competitive price

On the 5th of June, 2023, I've ordered a bifold door. Glassopenings said that the door frame and the glass will be delivered at the same time. After three weeks, the door frame was delivered but no the glazing. Two weeks later, they delivered the glazing, but the driver damaged one of my units. I had to wait another two weeks  to have it replaced. All this time, I had a hole in my wall, waiting for the glazing. I also struggled installing the glazing (beads and gasket), and I called the customer service. They said that I had to insist because everything should work fine. After 5 hours of struggling, emails and calls, they said " Sorry for the inconvenience but we sent you the wrong beading".!!!. I had to wait another week for the new beading and they sent me the wrong ones. AGAIN!! And, again, wait for the right pieces another two weeks. When the beading finally arrived, I needed  to cut everything at the right dimensions because it was wrongly cut!  This order was a mess (delays and unprofessionalism), and I had my living room open for nearly two months.
And now, after three months, the door still have malfunctions, but nobody replies to my repeated emails.

I ordered aluminium French doors and sidelines, as well as another glass door from the company. I found Glass Openings online. As they were not too far, I visited their workshop and spoke to their customer service representative. I did this just to see the quality of their work. I was quite impressed by the products I saw.
I was also able to take a small section of the profile for the builders to work with.
The company was helpful when I put the order through and kept me updated while we were waiting. The doors were delivered safely and well wrapped, right on time. The doors are of a very good quality and look beautiful. Our builders were very impressed both with the quality and with the reasonable price we paid for them.

Great service from these guys, highly recommend

It was a pleasure buying from Glass Openings, from designing the door I wanted to the delivery and the final the product. Everything was just how I wanted it. Would definitely recommend this company. Great service.

Ordered bifold doors and aluminium windows for my house from glass openings. My local suppliers were coming in thousands more. I was worried when placing the order as saw some negative reviews online. But I must say I am glad I ordered from glass openings as not only did I get my items before due date but also saved thousands. The quality was excellent and if I have another project in the future will use again.

Ordered aluminium glass doors which are lovely. Good quality and solid product for outdoor garden office project. We changed some details of our order a bit which was fine and after-service questions were answered promptly and helpfully.

Do not use this company if you want to receive your correct order on time. 5 week delivery time, delivered in 12 weeks all totally wrong. Magnetic blinds with pull cords, frames for right hand side sent left hand side. Awful customer service.

We ordered a two door bifold and from start to finish was excellent. Product was delivered on time, fitted with no problems and looks great.
Communication was excellent by phone and emails so we could check to see all requirements were met.

I ordered bespoke bifold doors and was very pleased with the quality of the doors I received. There was an issue with one of the doors and the after sales team took care of the problem and rectified it by sending a replacement door. The service engineer Amit who came to deliver the doors and fit the replacement door was very professional, polite and tidy with his work. I was very pleased with how the after care issue was sorted and fixed by Amit. I would highly recommend this company and their service. Many thanks!

I have ordered 6 windows from Glass Openings that were delayed several times due to production issues. When the windows did finally arrive, 2 were not on delivery, 2 were not according to specifications (not fire escape as ordered) and the other two appeared fine at first glance. When fitters arrived, they double checked the widow sizes and started fitting the 2 windows that appeared ok only to realise that the glass units are at least 10mm too large to fit the frames. The old window could not be reinstated so I ended up with a floor length boarded up whole downstairs and a £600 fitters bill. The second window that appeared fine had the opposite issue; glass unit was too small resulting in a gap between the glass and frame. Never have I even thought an error of this magnitude is possible! The frames themselves are of an appalling quality too, neither of the corners align, large gaps etc. The company was very apologetic over the phone the day I reported these issues and greed to cancel the windows not yet delivered, collect what’s delivered and issue a refund, however, never saw a refund or had response to my emails and they have stopped taking my calls ever since. The whole experience left me so traumatised I don’t think I will ever order online again.
