I would highly recommend Golden Charter for their prompt and professional help. Wanting to change details of my plan was a worry until I spoke with staff, who were extremely pleasant and caring and dealt with everything swiftly. Wonderful service.

We found the process of arranging our funerals very straightforward. The chap talked us through the procedure and we had already chosen funeral directors .
As we have no children a letter was sent to the people that we wanted to oversee things for us. That I feel puts their minds at rest, we obviously spoke to them first.Having this plan in place takes the onus of others.

I rang due to a concern my mum may have paid for a simple cremation without understanding what that meant. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the enquiry I had. They were understanding and went to great lengths to help me feel settled and happy with the plan made by my mum, and understood that any services paid for and no longer required could roll on to other options or underpayments.

I'd give no stars if I could. Last year I took out a funeral plan and paid a £49 deposit 14 days later I changed my mind so cancelled didn't receive any acknowledgement back and never received my refund now thay are saying thay didn't get the email and as it's now over 30 can't have a refund .would advise everyone to not deal with this company lust money grabbers iam 83 with alshimers and this is how iam treated terrible company

If you want to give your family added stress and additional financial burden after you’ve gone, then this is the plan for you!! My father purchased a plan in 2016 for £3,525. His funeral in January came to a total of £1,870…. How much do you think Golden Charter paid of that? £1,162!!! Absolute con! They made 300% profit but it’s OK because the dead can’t lodge complaints! You are better off having a separate savings account for your family to use. They were impossible to get in touch with both by telephone and email… I wish I could give minus stars!!!

I was looking for a funeral plan and this one was very helpful and easy to understand, they offered me a plan i wanted, and I'm paying for it on a monthly basis.

I am pleased i went ahead today as i can carry on without worrying about it.

We wanted to arrange funeral plan ,so the family wouldnt be burdened with the financial and stressful times arranging our future funerals .Ordered a booklet first , to find out all the general information phoned couple of times to ask some questioned , never had any hard sell , took our time to what we wanted .spoke to a very helpful lady and she set up our plans .
Everything was in place within six weeks , documents etc recieved .

My call was answered promptly by Liz who was friendly and efficient in the way she dealt with my enquiry. She spoke clearly and plainly. It wasn't a run of the mill situation and Liz listened patiently and guided me through the best way to deal with the issues. The call ended with me feeling relieved that my queries were being dealt with and I had faith that the agent dealing with me had been both professional and compassionate.

After a disappointing situation with another provider, we chose to go with Golden Charter for our final journey on God's Earth. One big advantage is the plan can move with us if required. Another is that we are registered with a well-known and trusted Funeral Director.
The staff at Golden Charter gave us clear advice, sent us the information that we required and forwarded the plan to us and also our son. So, we all know what to expect in the not too distant future.

Recently my husband took out a funeral plan over the phone. He explained he was deaf and that sometimes he needs to pass the phone to me. No problem we were told and would you like us to put it on your notes- oh if only all companies were as understanding. I had previously set up an instalment plan for me which was fine and affordable but as I was able to pay off the remaining balance I phoned and everything was completed in one call and under 10 minutes from dialling to hanging up. Easy to set up and my sons know where the paperwork is when the time comes. I know this is a great reliable company as when my dad died suddenly in January this year he had a golden charter plan and everything was so straightforward in contacting them and very understanding people on the phone.
