Absolutely terrible customer service.

Grass Direct is supposed to be a sales company, yet when I tried contacting them this morning, nobody answered the phone. I then tried their online chat, only to find there were no agents available. I called their sales line and was met with a message saying, "Our Sales Lines are Closed. Use Our Online Chat." The problem is, the online chat wasn't available either.

If a company can't be available during its stated opening hours, can't answer sales enquiries, and can't provide the support channels it advertises, it doesn't inspire much confidence. If they can't handle a potential customer's call, what hope is there if you need assistance after making a purchase?

Based on this experience alone, I wouldn't buy from them. The service has been extremely disappointing, and management should be concerned about the impression this leaves on potential customers.

The quality of the grass itself is good, but unfortunately the overall experience was extremely disappointing.
The delivery was handled by DX and took several weeks to complete. Four rolls of grass were delivered across three separate deliveries, often with little or no notice. On multiple occasions, the rolls were simply left outside our office without any prior email, text message, or attempt to arrange a suitable delivery time.
After several complaints, a replacement roll was sent. However, this was once again left outside the office without any notification. To make matters worse, the replacement roll was a different thickness from the original three rolls, meaning it did not match the product we had ordered.
Customer service was also very poor throughout. The only reliable way to get a response was through the online chat, while emails were either ignored or not properly addressed. Despite raising the same issues multiple times, the situation was handled inadequately and without any real resolution.
While the product quality is satisfactory, the delivery process and customer service fell well below expectations.

Shocking customer service. Ordered astro turf, told it will be 4th June...nothing....contacted customer service and store snd told 11th June only to see that they are now awaiting stock. Quick to take my money for goods they can not supply. When u call customer service they fob u off with the fact they can not access order as it was ordered in store. You call the store and you can not get through. I want my money back ASAP as this is ridiculous. Do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere

I ordered grass from Grass Direct through their website, and the ordering process itself went smoothly. However, the subsequent experience was highly frustrating. Upon receiving the order confirmation email, I discovered that despite a delivery charge of nearly £100, the terms stated the driver might require assistance with unloading. If a delivery requires two people, the company should dispatch a two-man crew rather than expecting the customer to provide labour. The delivery timeframe was five weeks, which I was aware of. However. when my order arrived, it was short by one roll of grass ... I'd ordered and paid for 2. The delivery driver was excellent and did his best to assist, but the overall service from the company was poor. The only available method to contact customer services was through an online chat system. It required a 45-minute wait to connect with a representative, followed by an additional 45 minutes of messaging. The customer service representative indicated they could reorder the missing roll but advised against it due to potential colour variation between batches. The alternative was to reorder both rolls instead, either case would entail an additional four-week wait. Our landscaper had coordinated his schedule to align with the delivery date to assist with unloading and complete the installation, resulting in a wasted day of work for which we still had to compensate him. After accepting the offer to reorder both rolls, the representative checked the system and then informed me that the chosen grass was no longer available from the manufacturer. The only positive outcome was receiving a full refund fairly quickly.
Avoid this company if you want a stress free life.

Easy in store ordering by a very helpful manager and delivery within specified timescales. Would recommend and will use this company again in the future.

The guy in the shop (can’t remember his name so sorry!) wasn’t pushy, didn’t hover, just left us to shop. He answered all our questions gave recommendations and gave great advice!

The experience from Gradd Direct was awful. Lead tine on the grass we purchased was 1-3 weeks. Order was placed on the 04th May 2026. Got a text from DX saying about delivery but no further emails from Grass Direct. Contacted Grass Direct and sent us an email update on the 03rd June with a dispatch and tracking number, DX delivery overnight service. 4th June no text or email from DX. 14:30 contacted Grass Direct asking for an update. They informed they would contact DX and get back to me via email. 15:30 no email so contacted Grass Direct again. Apparently DX did not receive the order. Grass Direct then told me the order was missing. They said they can re process the same order but another lead time of 1-3 weeks. Time wasters is an understatement. Weve allready been waiting for 4 weeks for this order. I will never use them again. Refund was requested as we will buy from a different supplier. And not sure how a 4mx6m roll of Grass goes missing.

Dan responded really quickly and I was able to change my delivery date extremely easily. The value & range the company offers is great and the service has been exceptional.

Just as described. Looks very natural, is soft,easy to install and was delivered with care. I bought it for my 2 year old and he loves it.

I've ordered samples over 2 weeks ago and they have not been delivered.i thought a company like yours would want the sales but maybe not I have a customer waiting to view the samples and it is extremley poor service on your behalf
