Disappointing and Unresolved Financial Complaint

I paid US$1,500 to Guest Services Worldwide for a 12-month advertising arrangement for my medical practice, with placements specified at four hotels in Barbados.

After paying in full and being advised that the publications had been printed and delivered to the hotels in April and May, I personally checked all four locations on September 30th, and it was absent from all four hotels. After I contacted GSW, they told me they would speak to their Media Team. On October 21st, I drove to all the hotels AGAIN, and my advertisement appeared in the brochures at only two of the four hotels. They had only been placed this week according to the staff there. It was absent from the publications at the other two. Note, the length of the contract is for one year and I have lost six months and the ad still does not appear in two of the four hotels.

I contacted the company to raise my concerns. On October 5, I was advised that the Media Team would investigate and contact the hotels. Despite following up, I have not received a substantive explanation or a satisfactory resolution.

I have spent considerable time visiting the hotels, checking the brochures and chasing responses about a service I have already paid for. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, particularly given the amount of money involved and the lack of communication.

I am seeking a full refund of the US$1,500 paid. I am posting this review because my attempts to resolve the matter directly have so far been unsuccessful.

I would welcome a response from Guest Services Worldwide addressing the missing placements and my outstanding refund request. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I am completely dissatisfied.

UPDATE — 28 October 2026

Guest Services Worldwide has now responded publicly, acknowledging that my advertisement was missing from two of the four hotel locations and stating that it is reviewing my refund request.

Note, these two placements only entered the hotels this month, some 5 to 6 months late after many of the major island events that attract tourists.

I appreciate the response, but the matter remains unresolved. I paid US$1,500 for the advertising arrangement, and I am seeking a full refund, not future placement or corrective distribution. I await the company's substantive findings and a clear decision on my refund request.

Guest Services Worldwide was very accommodating and worked closely with me throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied with the final result. Their response times were excellent, and their communication was consistently prompt and professional. I truly appreciated their patience, flexibility, and willingness to make adjustments.

Absolutely awful.
The company lied to me in making me sign something. I asked to put my spot on hold for 48hours and then I rejected the offer.
It's been 6 months they are calling me to enforce a contract I don't want.
