The young man who came even though the stairlift was suddenly working he checked it over throughly and made a couple of adjustments that made such a difference. He then cleaned the stairlift and put new arms on.

I had a lovely, friendly and professional surveyor, Andrew come out to quote for our stairlift on 5th October and although I had 2 other companies booked in to quote the next day I felt totally confident with Halton and paid a deposit and booked for the reconditioned stairlift to be installed on 9th October.

Martin the exceptional engineer who fitted the stairlift, rang me to say was around 45 minutes away. He cleared away any mess and left the area totally spotless. Martin then took time to explain how the stairlift worked and got my husband to sit on it and go up the stairs, step off and then get back on and go back down

From start to finish an excellent experience and both gentlemen are a credit to the company.

Stairlift fitted today, the whole experience from asking for a consultation to fitting has been extremely quick and efficient. The fitter, Cameron, arrived on time and installed the stairlift, explained how to operate the lift before he left. He was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Halton Stairlifts.

I purchased the platinum ultimate stairlift as we had a narrow staircase fitted in our annex, this was the only stairlift which rotates and moves backwards up the stairs.

We paid just over £7000 for it in April 2026 at the end of April my mum passed and never got to use it.

I've phone Halton Stairlifts for their 'buy back' and they offered me £650 what an utter slap in the face. I knew I wouldn't get any where near the purchase price but was expecting a 'sensible offer'.

I wouldn't recommend using them due to my experience. I'm now looking for a reasonable offer for resale from anywhere else and I'm sure to get back more that £650 - shocking.

John & James were very friendly, polite and professional. Paul needed to go to the Doctor's so when I received the phone call to say they were around 20 mins away and I wasn't home I panicked but I was very pleased when John & James reassured me and popped to another job before mine...that was great.
They worked very quietly and on completion gave Paul a tutorial.....very thorough. It was the first time Paul had been upstairs in 2 years.
I was assured that the flashing light....reading E4 was fine and would be charging. I am curious to why the make on the chair was Brookes and not Halton?

Julie representative from.halton stairlifts was very professional and not at all pushy. Explained all options , we settled for a reconditioned lift and even got the colour to match the carpet!

Stairlift kept stopping unexpectedly. We reported the fault and two repair men attended at our convenience the following day. They arrived on time and were polite. They did a thorough check of the chair, identified the problem and tightened the loose connection.
