They have constantly increased their prices for the last 5 years, however the service level and quality has been constantly declining. They changed courier from DPD to DX recently and have been selling hay dust instead of hay, especially on the soft cut Timothy hay. Charging in excess of £12 easily for a 5kg bag of dusty rubbish, same staff what comes out of a lawnmower. Not a single intact leaf in the bag. Changing supplier as enough is enough. Order number HB708552 on the most recent experience, but the last 5 deliveries have been all the same. Good luck with this attitude.

My bunny’s love this hay its very fresh and natural. I used to get hay from pets at home but the quality of this is so much better. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth it for your buns to eat good quality hay

I dont normally place reviews on things but when it comes to bunnies I feel like I should. My bunny is 3 years old and we have been using haybox for a few years now. Yes its pricey but that just means that the hay is quality! And the enrichment items are amazing aswell. I recently bought some hay and a hay cube, my girl absolutely loves them. The delivery guy was lovely and even placed the box into my house as they are large boxes, a bit awkward to hold lol. Thank you to haybox for never disappointing. I believe if you have had a bad experience with the delivery service that is no where near hayboxes fault as they cant control that !!

I've been using haybox for quite a while now and my two bunnies, one of which is very fussy, absolutely love it.
It has minimal dust content and always smells so fresh. It comes straight in a box, no plastic wrapper, webbing or polyester twine.
We also have to order the fresh forage every month as my bunnies just love it.
Haybox is a great company and you can tell they care about the quality of their products.

I have very picky elderly rabbits and I’ve struggled to find Timothy hay they like. They love Timothy Coarse hay. It’s much fresher and fragrant than other premium hays I’ve tried. Really impressed with the quality.

My guinea pigs love the Timothy hay blend. It’s really fresh and lovely thick stalks so lots of chewing. I would highly recommend this company for product and service.

So far I'm very happy with the quality hay and shipping was very quick. I will be subscribing from now untill further notice. Was on the higher side of what I would normally pay. But I think its worth it. When comparing hay side by side, you can clearly see the healthy difference of hay box club.

I have been buying from haybox for awhile now. I cannot fault any of their products. Customer service is perfect. Sam is wonderful and very helpful, very quick with sorting little hiccups that can happen.

I wanted to share how positive an experience I’ve had with Sam from customer services following a delivery driver leaving my Haybox in the rain instead of following instructions to use safe place. Sam responded to my grievance, apologised on behalf of the delivery company and arranged a full replacement of my order - which was delivered by a more reputable courier company the next day. 5 star customer service :)

Have used a variety of Haybox hays and forage over the years and they have all been adored by my rabbits and guinea pigs, quality has always been perfect.

I did have an issue with the new courier DX on a previous order, I contacted Haybox and the response from Sam was amazing, couldn’t have been anymore helpful and subsequently organised for my latest delivery to come via DPD.

My very fussy guinea pigs all love this meadow hay! It's the best quality hay I've found, with long strands and very little dust. The customer service is also excellent; always friendly and very helpful. I wouldn't buy hay from anyone else.

Excellent communication and quickly solved a problem not of their making. The products are great - my house rabbits love them, and have been eating far more hay since I switched to Hay Box (they especially love the hay cookies). Highly recommended.

The hay and straw is wonderful. Sadly Haybox now use DX as a delivery courier and they are atrocious. Haybox state they send each order via next day delivery and once it’s been despatched it’s essentially out of their hands.

I ordered hay last Friday, received a text yesterday (Wednesday) from DX saying it would be delivered tomorrow, then received another today saying it would be “delivered in 2-3 days”. When I contacted DX live chat they simply said “there’s been a delay”. If Haybox insist on using DX I am absolutely going to have to change suppliers as they are completely unreliable and I am paying for shipping as my order is below the threshold. I emailed Haybox today asking for a refund on my shipping fee, am awaiting a response.

Update: I received the hay this morning. The box was battered, ripped and damp despite it not having been left out in the wet outside my house. I updated Haybox on this and did receive a reply.

They explained that they are currently trialling DX as Yodel gave them 2 weeks notice at Christmas to find another courier as they’d no longer deliver their large boxes. They also offered to send my future orders via DPD if I email in advance of my next order. Have updated my rating accordingly.

Haybox deliveries are a joke. They went through a stage of leaving the cardboard box outside the house and not knocking on the door or ringing the bell even in bad weather. That was with Yodel who also used to trash the boxes too so we lost various items.

The latest delivery farce is with DX. I waited in all day yesterday for a box that was out for delivery according to tracking. Apparently it's with a third party courier now and neither DX nor Haybox can give any sort of ETA or any tracking.

The product quality seems to be slipping too with stones in the dandelion root nibbles and dusty timothy hay.

They failed to send the last subscribed order but charged for it anyway. They did refund but this is very poor. Maybe it's time to find another supplier.

Have been using them for around 6 months or so with no issues. Great quality hay that buns love.
Had an issue with DX on my last order, first time DX have been used by them, and they sent me a replacement with a different courier the same day that I emailed them. Great customer service.

Very poor service since the change of delivery company. On a £70 order I have only receved £17 pounds worth of hay( 1 bag) I have used haybox for a few years now spending £70 to £100 plus a month on hay, forage mixes, and enrichment toys. All in about £1000 a year. The last 3 months the company have let me down with delivery's, DX are a absolutely awful company. So this month 3 emails sent to haybox and no reply so I have sent another email. I won't be ordering from haybox again.

Fantastic! The best hay our house-bunnies have ever had! And my husband and I have been adopting bunnies for over 15 years. Haybox was recommended by our Vet Craig Hunt, he is a small animals and exotics specialist at Chine house vets in Cossington, Leicestershire.
