Nigel made the entire experience easier. As a complete novice, he made sure to explain how it worked, my options etc. He was very patient throughout- thank you!
Great team of scaffolders and installers. A few hiccups with the app but this can be resolved Im sure. Really pleased with the warranty/ guarantees, the certification etc has left me reassured that the products were of great quality.

Very experienced and took the time to understand our needs, lifestyle, yearly electricity usage and so on. Much much superior to the two other quotes we had received. Solar pv is not an off the shelf purchase; there are wrinkles everywhere. Planning, scaffolding and installation went very well and very quickly. On time and on budget. No complaints.

Nigel comes across as a great sales person and knowledgeable. HOWEVER he just a sly sales person.
annoyingly he swindled me into putting a deposit down with him, he only offered me a solar system compared to Octopus quote, once i got another quote from a different company he instantly upgraded my solar system package.
question is why wasn't this offered in the first place??

Once I said to him I was going ahead with the other company for my Solar panels he got very hostile and refused to refund my deposit of £300.
I really think this is dishonourable as it clearly states in his contract that I'm intitled to a full refund. luckily I paid via Amex, so I opened a dispute with them and was able to get my refund.
If he gave my refund I wouldn't have left a bad review.
Clearly he does something right as he has so many good reviews, however this experience has made getting solar panels for my home bittersweet.

I just feel like you should know who your getting into business with.

My advise get a few quotes and go with the best one, don't stick to one and certainly let Nigel provide you with a quote without putting a deposit down.

I feel like i have to share this experience as it wasn't nice and made me to extra running around for my own money.

Nigel of Home Comfort Enterprises (HCE) has co-ordinated our installation of 26 solar panels, related batteries, inverters, water heating, and EV charger, utilising contractors from Use The Sun Ltd and HA scaffolding Ltd. This took place over the last two days.

We selected HCE carefully after a wide review of companies over nearly two years, leading to a shortlist of four, including two big name utility providers and two smaller specialist companies of which HCE was one.

From the very beginning HCE excelled in patient, personable interaction, with frank, honest appraisal of potential, issues, and their mitigations. What we found particularly valuable was the perspective of the experienced but independent company and contractors, to counterbalance the recommendations of the large companies also engaged in power import and export as well as installation. While the latter were helpful, the value of separating any vested interests of installer and utility provider has I believe been instrumental in optimising a bespoke install in our own home. It is however the level of proactive diligent and frank communication, clear dedication to customer service, and knowledge of the subject in all its stages that set apart HCE and its subcontractors from the start.

We are yet to fully experience the system in all its sophistication and permutations of weather, but it is performing well and to satisfaction to date. The holistic operation of many home systems, including with a gas boiler and pre-existing immersion heater, is impressive, and has been cost competitive. The install went very smoothly, and all the teams involved were equally expert in their communication, diligence, and technical discussions with us – and obviously all the time in clear communication with Nigel. The coordination of all relevant certifications has been equally efficient.

Having met all the teams involved, we are confident the aftercare service will be as excellent as the proposal formulation and installation has been. On the basis of our experiences to date, we have no hesitation in recommending HCE Ltd.

We had a very positive experience with Home Comfort Enterprises from start to finish. From the initial design through to installation and commissioning, the whole process was straightforward and well managed. Nigel was great to work with — knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to talk through the technical details so we felt confident in the decisions being made.

This was a larger and more complex installation than a typical domestic setup, including a multi-battery system and EPS backup. One of our main requirements was that all cabling be fully concealed and kept out of sight, and this was taken seriously from day one and delivered exactly as promised.

The installation team were professional, tidy, and clearly knew what they were doing. Time was taken at commissioning to check everything was working properly and to walk us through the system, and it’s been performing exactly as expected since. Overall, it felt like a company that cares about doing the job properly, even when the install is more technically demanding than average.

What a brilliant Company.Nigel visited and completed a thorough review of what was a very complicated set up.He produced a clear summary and arranged a prompt start.His team were totally efficient and all showed a pleasant attitude.They finished the job in a day fitting 29 panels 2 Inverters and a battery!Incredible.We cannot speak more highly .

Having made the decision to install solar panels we rang around for advice.
The only ones to offer us a home visit was Nigels company. Not one but two home visits!
Nigel was patient, knowledgeable and made everything easy to understand (even for a pair of pensioners!).
We decided to go for 15 solar panels (maximum for our roofs).
A battery and an inverter.
The scaffolding was erected on the Monday. Scott(roofer) and Andy(electrician) arrived 8am prompt on Thursday morning. Despite being a freezing cold day everything was installed by 2pm. The guys were amazing. We were also shown how to set up and use the app.
Nigel phoned to see if everything went well then proceeded to call the scaffolding guys.
The scaffolding was taken down the following day.... Impressive!!
Bearing in mind it's only been up and running less than a month and it is winter we are already seeing a benefit.
Cannot thank Nigel and the guys enough and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

I was given a very detailed introduction to all aspects of solar panels, with a clear breakdown of all the equipment and work required before a survey was carried out. Then all the work was done quickly and efficiently. My gas and electric were both moved for me to a new cheaper provider. I think that this firm is excellent in all aspects of their work.

After much research I was given Home Comfort as a reputable local installer (Essex) of Solar, Nigel made contact same day as inquiring, A very knowledgeable chap in all aspects of Solar generation and storage he had the answer to all my probing questions.
The Installation was without fault (16 x panels plus 10Kw battery storage & EV Battery charger) and stress free, Scaffold in place Thursday, Solar installation / commissioning completed by Saturday even a curtesy call from Ben the installer on Sunday to confirm all good, Scaffold gone by Monday. If your thinking about Solar I would highly recommend Home Comfort Enterprises Ltd as a first point of call, excellent service and very rare these days.

From start to finish the quality of service was exemplary. Best balance of cost and quality of all suppliers, great project management and the teams that did the installation were professional and efficient. Would not hesitate to recommend, superb!

We had a very positive experience with Home Comfort Solar Installation. Nigel was friendly, helpful, and incredibly transparent throughout the whole process. He was always quick to respond to any questions and made everything really straightforward from start to finish.

We were particularly impressed by how the team found a smart solution for our roof, which isn’t south-facing and doesn’t have much space. They were willing to install panels on the flat section of our roof — something other companies said they wouldn’t do — and they took the time to show us that the system would still be economically viable. That gave us real confidence that they weren’t just trying to make a sale, but genuinely wanted to find the right solution for us.

Home Comfort Enterprises is a very professional company that consults on your needs, explains genuine options, and installs quality equipment.

Before deciding to go with Nigel at Home Comfort Enterprises, we had quotes from various national installers, including two energy providers. They all wanted to sell us an off-the-shelf package (the easiest for them to install) and argued that they were the best.

Refreshingly, Nigel took the time to understand our needs for EV charging, 24-hour battery storage, and future-proofing.

Nigel spent time explaining the options and types of solar energy systems available and conducted a proper aerial survey before recommending the most cost-effective and productive option.

We are very pleased with the installation.
