Hostelworldtravel.com job scams the innocent using false Certificate to claim connection to Hostelworld.com
Do not confuse scam site Hostelworldtravel.com with major reputable site Hostelworld.com.
THE JOB SCAM DESCRIBED HERE IS ALSO IDENTICALLY BEING OPERATED BY MANY OTHER PARALLEL SITES.
I was approached by a recruiter on telegram App and then Whatsapp, to do DATA BOOSTING for Hostel Travel World (BOOSTING DATA) The data boosting is for rooms held in mutiple hotels around the world. The line they throw at you is that hotels have suffered much loss during Covid19 and are paying them to hire people to make their hotels highly visible with Data Boosting. Recruits are given packages of 40 rooms to complete. The strange thing was that I was not told I must pay for this DATA BOOSTING. I was also not told that I should have a minimum of USDT 12,000 or even much more in case of extremely expensive rooms.
When I questioned them about their lack of information they continuously quoted a phrase on their website which says, "All reservations are randomly assigned by system". This can be seen as their hidden way to cover their lack of information to recruiters. Is it a trick?
At first, I thought it was just a computer job but after I got started on the first package I was surprised to find that at the 11th room I had to top up with say 20 USDT to proceed. A carrot was then put before me stating that I get back x5. The first package did not take much but added up to about 130 USDT at completion. After completion of 40 rooms I was allowed to withdraw. The payment was reasonable. Sounded great, but what I did not know, was that the next package was where the scam was hidden.
But then came a huge problem. I received another gigantically more expensive package and eventually could not cope with the payments. I used up all my small savings of AUD $2000 and my son lent me AUD $6050 and after much ado with my recruiter he sparing contributed. AS massive payments out of my financially abiilty arose needind USDT1,200 as payments he offered USDT200 as a mere contribution to me borowing the rest. After payment 2 rooms completed and the price rose to USDT2600 when he grudgingly offered USDT600. It did another 6 rooms then requested USDT3798.08 and he offered USDT1000 toward it. I learnt later that he was not helping me but pretending to help me to help himself. He was giving money to reap my money and run. On the USDT3798.08 I could not raise the remaining USDT 2798.08. after 7 days when I could not pay for the last 2 rooms they said that I would forfeit my money for not completing. That is our rules.
Customer service and my recruiter got annoyed at my problem and insisted that I will be withdrawing lots when I conclude. They ruthlessly wished to hear nothing about my lack of funds and borrowings I had done. "Just pay the the rooms and complete 40 and then withdraw.", was the word. They even claimed to hand me over to their lawyers. I got stuck without money at several rooms like 19 rooms 20 rooms 21 rooms then 37 rooms, Then I got stuck at room 38 with 2 to go. It is possible that 1 or 2 payments may be required. One payment I know = USDT 3798.08 for which I have no money and the second may be nothing or even higher in cost like USDT 4,500 approx.
Customer Service requested an extension from the merchant. I had an extension, until Friday 18th November 2022, to raise the payment money of USDT 3798.08, but I have no more ways to borrow. I lost a total of about AUD +$8000 that i had deposited into their USDT crypto-Accounts.
I have concluded that this is totally a scam.
My recruiter Jason, swore at me for calling him a scammer and said I owe him money and he would get a Loan shark gang to beat me up for not completing and paying him back. He claims that I am the scammer instead. Their Customer service sent me a Fake Certificate claiming that hosteltravelworld.com is a third party website of hostelworld.com. Certificate was declared a fake by major company hostelworld.com.
I CONCLUDE THAT "HOSTELTRAVELWORLD" IS A FAKE SCAMMER SITE IN DATA BOOSTING TOGETHER WITH OTHER SITES. ANY SITE THAT ASKS PAYMENT IN ORDER TO EARN IS A SCAM
As a pensioner on a mere cost of living Aged pension I lost $8,050 of which $2,000 was my last to repair my car and $6,050 was borrowed from my son.
