This is the best place ever for customer service. We've all heard nightmare stores about sellers who advertise on FB but I want to sing the praises of this garden decor company. I had a problem with some lights I ordered and they were absolutely fabulous about helping me resolve the issue. They go above and beyond to be sure they stand behind their product and make things right. This is a five star company from which to order. You won't regret getting anything through them.

I exceptional! What a gorgeous trellis!
I was very impressed upon opening the packaging. What a trellis! I have wasted soooo much money on weak trellises, that are flimsy, break off as soon as you put them in the ground, rust, fall over etc. This HP trellis is sturdy, beautifully made, and worth the money. What a beautiful trellis. If you are on the fence, go ahead and purchase, you will NOT be disappointed!

I was looking for a trellis for a trump vine
I was looking for a trellis for a trump vine and came accross H Potter while searching. Website is very descriptive and easy to use. Ended up ordering an obelisk. Fast delivery - 1.5 days from ordering. Very well made and finished. Easy to assemble. Plus made in the USA!! Highly recommend this product line to others looking for quality, fast delivery and made to do what they describe!

Terrible directions!
The trellis itself looks nice when finished but the instructions were terrible! worse than Ikea's. I didn't like that the pieces did not line up and the bolts supplied are not visually appealing. I can't recommend this with the high cost.

Your review actually helped us improve: the assembly instructions you received have since been updated with more detailed photos and steps, specifically because we heard similar feedback. The new instructions are much clearer.
Regarding the pieces not lining up: This is unusual and typically happens when bolts are tightened as you go during assembly. If bolts are snug before all pieces are in place, it can make final alignment difficult. The best approach is to hand-tighten bolts loosely first, get all pieces aligned and seated, then tighten fully. If you try it again with that method, the fit should be much better.
On the hardware: Our arbors are black powder-coated steel, and the hardware matches that black finish. If you expected a different color (like stainless steel), that's something we can look into for future options. If there's a color mismatch on your order, I'd like to know so we can see if there was a factory issue.

Look elsewhere
I feel like the order process was very deceiving and I feel like I given a choice. I might’ve had different feelings. The item my order took three months to get in and it was delayed multiple times. I was given a tracking number that said it should be there within two weeks and it was not. Very disappointed in my experience however they did get two stars because he had I bought turned out to be very nice.

I want to respectfully clarify a couple of points: Your order placed May 31st shipped July 17th and arrived July 19th, which is about 7 weeks total. I understand that felt longer than expected, but it wasn't three months. More importantly, this was a pre-order, and when you added it to your cart, you checked a box confirming you understood it was a pre-order with an estimated ship window (not a guaranteed date).
Ocean freight for our large garden décor is unpredictable—containers can be delayed at ports, held up during transit, or restocked. That's why we never give exact dates; we say "early," "mid," or "late" month so customers know what to expect. I know that doesn't eliminate frustration when delays happen, but it's part of how pre-orders work in this industry.
Regarding the tracking number showing 2 weeks: That estimate came from our carrier based on typical transit, but ocean freight isn't always typical. We try to set expectations upfront, but I hear that the communication could have been clearer during those weeks of waiting.

Beautiful piece, very well made. The bolts all lined up making assembly easy. It’s a well made heavy gorgeous piece.
