Dangerous drivers
I hate ironing drivers are incredibly rule and ignorant. They repeatedly park on the double red lines at the top of Cromford Road when delivering their laundry to Angel Dry Cleaners. We have politely asked them to stop as its a danger to vehicles turning into Cromford Road and also blocks access to the local ambulance station. Management, if you read this, please please please ask your drivers to obey the rules of the road when delivering/collecting - thank you

Used IHI three times but unfortunately wont use again. App UX and pick up service were excellent. Challenge was that on two occasions expensive shirts for dry clean were wash/pressed despite clear written instructions as to what was needed. This service could be great but I lost trust and feel more confident handing over face to face.

Where to even start?
Where to even start? Booked in a standard coat. It was categorised as a puffer when it isn’t. I thought no matter as long as it’s clean, but no, they didn’t follow my instructions and delivered it a day late. Bearing in mind I booked it for a specific trip, no matter hey. I messaged on the app expressing the issue with the cleaning and got ignored, fantastic service there. I then had to email to get a response, think you are starting to get the picture here. They offered to re dry clean it, but again on receipt, it wasn’t cleaned properly per the instructions. They reached out to me via email asking if things were okay with the re clean, I said no and explained why not. Lo and behold no reply. Don’t use them and don’t listen to any of the positive feedback here, you and I both know those are bought reviews.
Edit - they actually tried to have my review removed for telling the truth but Trustpilot blocked their request. Says it all!

Appalling service 4 evening dress shirts that cost over £200 ruined, Because I hadn’t seen ironing burns on the double cuffs until I came to wear them which was over 48 Hours. I hate Ironing are doing nothing.

Absolutely awful experience
Absolutely awful experience. I have two (expensive) items for them to dry clean, and they were returned smelling of wet dog/BO. Even after taking somewhere else to be rectified the smell remains. Completely unwearable. Avoid at all costs.

Exceptional customer service
I have used I Hate Ironing for over five years and have previously left them a very positive review. Until recently, I had never had an item damaged.
Unfortunately, a high-value item was damaged during cleaning, but I think the true mark of excellent customer service is not simply when everything goes right — it is how a company responds when something goes wrong.
I was genuinely amazed by how well I Hate Ironing handled the situation. There was no fuss, no attempt to avoid responsibility and no lengthy argument. They simply refunded me the full value of a brand-new replacement item.
This was particularly impressive because, in my experience, other dry-cleaning companies can be reluctant even to acknowledge that damage has occurred, let alone compensate a customer fairly.
I Hate Ironing has always been incredibly convenient and reliable to use, but this experience has actually given me even more confidence in them. I now know that they genuinely care about their customers and will do the right thing if something goes wrong.
I will certainly continue to use them and would happily recommend them.
