I thought this was a real IRS site, they claimed to be one. This is a scam. I applied for an EIN number for my small business and they charged me $250. Shortly afterwards I received an email saying they couldn't process my application and that I would need to contact the IRS with the number they provided. I tried calling the number only to be told that there was a lot of calls coming in and that I would have to try again. I reached out to them via email and was told they were issuing me a refund. My card company never received their supposed refund. I have reported them to BBB and have been trying to write as many bad reviews as I can so that this does not happen to someone else.

I am an idiot and was in a rush while I was trying to apply for my EIN because I just started a business. I saw the "IRS." and that it was a sponsored link on Google so my brain was like "this is fine."

I entered my info until I got to the payment page and I am keenly aware that this is a free service. I feel like a moron for not verifying the link before entering info but that's what happens when you're in a rush!

I recommend any other person who made this mistake to put fraud alerts on their credit (for all three companies) and/or freeze their credit for awhile. You can call or go online to do so. You definitely need to report this incident with the link to the IRS for your social and you should report the link as a phishing scam to Google. They may be more likely to get rid of the link if they get multiple report.

They got me! I didn't pay but I did give them my SSN. I thought I was on the IRS website until it asked me for $249 to do what I've done multiple times free. Now I have to worry about my ssn being used or sold.

Going to report it to IRS, FTC, Google and others now.

I am so mad at them and myself! You would think if you type in irs.gov that the first site that comes up would be the IRS! Not so. Starting a new business and learned the hard way. I do not know how people sleep at night, honestly.

SCAM! Reported to BBB, reported and filed fraud to IRS Fraud department. Cancelled my credit card, disputing the charge and locked my credit reports to protect against identity theft. This site needs to be shut down.

Ugh so upset I fell for this scam! Currently freezing my credit, with all 3 bureaus, and filing a dispute on my CC, once it posts.

This company's entire business model is to set up a website looking very similar to the official IRS site in order to trick people paying outrageous fees for filing trivial paperwork that is free if you go straight to the government site. They pay Google so that their scam webpage is the top result when you search for the IRS page, and as a result many people end up there my mistake. They claim they are business people who want to help other people get started setting up a business, but they are nothing but a bunch of predatory scumbags that leech off people and provide absolutely no value. The FTC should shut them down.

Don’t fall for it, they charge for something that should be free. They have a tricky website that make you think you are on the official IRS website. They also ask for all your personal information including SS#. it’s a scam!

This is what you need to do:

File a claim with your bank. Cancel bank card number & have bank issue new card to prevent any further withdrawals of funds.

Have the 3 credit bureau's freeze your social security number to protect your financial identity:

Experian: 1-800-493-1058

Report the scam to the social security administration, do a web search with the below to find the link (trust pilot won't let me list the link):

I too completed the online registration including my ss number. I KNOW the service should be free too, so I didn't pay them. Now they have my information. I WILL know exactly who is responsible for any fraud that takes place!!! SCAM

Tax ID support is a Big scam. Should be illegal. They set up a website to trick people into thinking they're actually at the IRS website. I thought I was no IRS website to get EIN. At the end they charged me $250 for nothing. I'll try to report them. they should be illegal and charged.

I am concerned. Just today I filled out an on line application for an EIN, thinking that I was communicating with the IRS. Only after I completed the application and was sent to the billing page did I realize that this was a deceptive site attempting to pull money out of persons who should receive this service for free, as the IRS provides on the official IRS website.
I did not complete this 'service' for a fee but I am extremely concerned because their application included inclusion of the applicants social security number (which I provided). Now this baloney site has possession of my SSN.

They claim that the $250 they charge is for access to "experts" to ask questions of. Obtaining an EIN is FREE with the IRS. After getting scammed into paying, I have yet to receive a single communication back or answer to a single question. The people manning the phones have ZERO tax expertise so the service they say you are being charged for is a scam any way you look at it.

Looks official but absolutely isn't. The services they charge for are free on other government websites. Don't fall for it. Stay away.

agree with many of the reviews here. thought i was in the IRS website but they quickly charged 250. a month later NOTHING. i emailed a follow up - NOTHING. i called them and kelly answered saying all she can do is email a form on my behalf. cannot speak to a manager. cannot transfer to another department. cannot find out or figure out the status of my order.

i ended up going to the IRS website and got my EIN within 5 minutes.

a horrible company. they set up a website to trick people into thinking they're actually at the IRS website. they took my $250 quickly (from the IRS an EIN number is free) and then I never heard from them again. absolutely no communication, no email as promised. no answers to my queries. one of the worst and most deceitful companies I've ever dealt with. I gave them one star in order to post a review but in reality they deserve a big zero. avoid them like the plague

Totally a scam. They did provide me with a tax ID for my business and did it within minutes. I called within 5 minutes of placing the order and they had already sent the form...after I discovered that it was totally free. I informed the lady that I spoke with that their tactics were very tacky. Lesson learned. I will report them to the IRS as their site looks similar to the IRS. The lady that I spoke with said, "unfortunately, I just work here". What a poor excuse to provide to a customer.

This site is a big scam they just scam us 1500$ for driver license for my company but thanks God we found a reliable Man thanks Legitvendor.us for our company driver license

I thought I was on the IRS website. Got charged $275 for an expedited process when it could've been free. I called and asked for a refund and they refused. Am disputing the charge with my credit card company and reporting them to the Texas State Attorney General. Do not use this website. Go to the IRS website if you need an EIN number.
