I want great care appear to have suddenly, within the last 5 days, removed the majority of negative reviews of doctors on their site. This must total 100s of reviews.

I have only ever left a couple of good reviews of doctors on the site but the bad reviews did provide a warning about who it would be less advisable to see. I can imagine iwgc do not publish and/or do remove alot of bad reviews due to libel law but to remove the majority of the historical bad reviews seems to defeat the purpose of the site.

An elderly patient, I had a hip replacement in 2007, which became loose and painful as a consequence. I had revision surgery at Treliske Hospital, Truro, under Mr.Dan Williams, which eliminated the pain. The operation and recovery were, to my surprise, quick and pain free. In late 2018 similar pains returned, causing walking difficulties, and after two X-rays, I met Mr Williams again. In fact the pains were caused by my ankylosing spondulitis and not the replacement prosthesis, which was functioning properly. I am grateful to Mr.Williams and his team for a completely successful operation.

what a grate experience I had with Dr Pelz regarding an ultrasound scanning machine, very painless test which I experienced and Dr Pelz was more helpful, assisting me by explaining me how the machine worked, how the machine create images of organs and structures inside my body really i enjoyed the test

So pleased with my Thyroid Op that Dr Jeddy done no pain after only slight discomfort and the scar has been healing so well you can hardly notice. Thank you Dr Jeddy.

Do not waste your time writing a review unless it is a good one. If you believe your treatment was unfair they will not allow you to publish it. More than that, they will simply ignore it. You will still receive a notification email with verification code but it is useless. I had tried to publish 3 times my review after very unpleasant experience and the operation that went wrong. Finally I wrote directly to them and raised a complaint. The answer was simple: review will be not published as it might harm the good name and the reputation of the doctor. Seriously? The "doctor", if I can even call him this way ruined my life and people should know that before making the same mistake.
Do not even make a website if people cant use it. Ridiculous.

I spent a long time writing what I thought was a fair review of my experience with a terrible Dr. I only did it because the thought of someone older or less able being seen by this Dr worried me. Only because of his attitude and lack of compassion. I was so angry and confused when i noticed that my review had been taken down. What a total scam. Reviews are not meant to be able to be tampered with.

Doesn't work. Can't leave a review!
Therefore useless. Doesn't accept a genuine email address. Maybe why some GP practices get no reviews whatsoever!

Wrote a review about a doctor in great ormond street and the appalling care received by our son. Like other posters it was published and then presumably taken down on the instructions of the doctor. Complete waste of time putting anything on this website as only positive reviews remain. No contact with regarding my review being removed. The website is misnamed as we cannot have great care if honest comments are removed.

I had written a review of a particular physician and sent my review to the moderators of this website. It was posted. However, I looked again as I had read bad reviews of iwantgreatcare.org on trustpilot.com. I was immediately apprehensive as my review of the physician had been a poor one. It was atrocious the treatment I had received from him. He had simply ignored me. He did not help me and there was no care involved so I had to write a review. I was hoping that my review would warn him to change his manner and for him to think again why he went into the medical profession in the first place.

I found that my review had been taken down - silently - and only the good one remained on iwantgreatcare.org. It was very obvious that this "good" review was false.
I sent an email to iwantgreatcare.org and I received a reply from them. They told me that the review had been reported and taken down. They quoted their terms and conditions. I just wonder if it was the physician himself who had reported it as he did not like my review. However my review of the physician had already been posted so it was implied by this that it agreed with their terms and conditions. It did agree with them. My review did not contain any swearing. Just plain facts. My email to them included the statement, "Why hadn't they emailed me to tell me this had happened especially as it had already been posted?

I do have to say that the emails from iwantgreatcare.com were polite and solved my problem. My (bad) review was eventually posted BACK onto iwantgreatcare.org. But it had been left up to me to find out that it had been taken down so I am very sceptical about iwantgreatcare.org.

I do have to agree with the many people who have posted comments about iwantgreatcare.org and are angry with this website. I have a suspicion that the reason my review was posted BACK onto iwantgreatcare.org was because I had told them about trustpilot.com and the bad reviews iwantgreatcare has actually got!

This website should be taken down as no-one can trust it to publish reviews - bad ones as well as good ones. Their website says it is not run by the NHS but is so obvious that it is. It is just "lip service" just as the P.A.L.S. department is that is actually situated in the hospital.

P.A.L.S. stands for Patient Advice Liaison Service. Do not use this department to complain as you will only get the answer that they have not done anything wrong.

We have nowhere where we can tell people about some of the medical profession who are actually paid by us through our taxes to care for us. I cannot find another website that is not run by the NHS. Isn't that strange. Do not use this website .

UPDATE: As my bad review was eventually posted back onto iwantgreatcare.org I have continually searched for it. It is still up. However, there is a place where members of the public can "click" to say that they find the review helpful. My "bad" review has "7 clicks". The "good" review has "78 clicks". The "78 clicks" is rather unrealistic. It seems that the physician's only thought is his online personna and not how bad he really was!

ANOTHER UPDATE: As of January 1 2019 The ability for the person who has read the review to press "Do you find this useful" button has been deleted. In my view this should have been done earlier as anyone can press this "hyperlink" to show that the review is helpful - even the physicians themselves.

UPDATE As at 5 April 2019 I have decided to change my rating to only 1 STAR as I had to find out for myself that my review had been taken down. That is unacceptable especially when it says that iwantgreatcare.org is unbiased towards the medical profession.

ANOTHER UPDATE I received a reply to this review in August 2019. This website reiterated their terms and conditions regarding reviews but this did not answer why MY REVIEW was taken out off the public domain especially as they put it back when I told them that they could not prosecute me regarding the Defamation Law. It does not address ANY of my above concerns. I am unable to trust this website.
Regarding Pals, colleagues and I have certainly used this department and the answer we have ALWAYS received is that "they have not done anything wrong".

I will NEVER change my review above of iwantgreatcare.org as this is what happened to me. I will NEVER give a review on this website of any practitioner as it will still be removed.

I cannot and will NEVER change my mind on how I was treated by a doctor in James Cook hospital AND how I was treated by the website iwantgreatcare.org.

Like many others here, I posted an honest review of a doctor who had given me very poor treatment, and had treated me contemptuously. I spent some time, crying throughout, writing about what had been a very distressing couple of sessions, only to go on the site today and see that it has not been posted. Furthermore, a 1 star review which had already been there appears to have been removed and replaced with a 5 star review written today. Believe what everyone here is saying. A corrupt website. My suspicions about my doctor's ethics confirmed.

I left an totally honest review of an arrogant specialist doctor who gave me great concern about the poor way I was being treated. The review was published and remained on the site for some time after which it was 'magically' removed, leaving only a couple of good reviews showing.
I assume that the doctor has paid for the removal of the review, making the site completely dishonest and worthless, and misrepresenting the honest views of concerned patients who like myself wish to warn others of poor service.
In my opinion the site is purely a moneymaking venture for the site owners, who should be ashamed of themselves for abusing the trust of patients who are worried about their treatment. I sincerely hope it can be closed down.

They only post good reviews, anything else is stopped by the mods.

They claim they’re independent but they're heavily linked to the NHS.

Receiving a reply from 'iWantGreatCare' over a year later. Despite what they have said, they have not posted any of my three reviews. This is quite a dishonest website and as they are posing as a review platform for healthcare it is highly immoral.

I've checked some of the comments against health care professionals that treated me and find they are largely accuarate.

The website does not allow you to update or review doctors. Very poor but my experience was positive

Having had problems driving at night I discovered I had developed Cataract and needed RLE surgery. I also had a complex short-sighted prescription so in effect I was getting rid of two birds with one stone. It was my first ever surgical procedure so naturally I was vigilant on whom to do the operation with. I went to Optegra, Optical Express and QE Hospital where I was under a consultant. Optegra were helpful and the consultant Mr Mark Weval was very helpful in explaining the difference between multi focal and mono focal lens,

After careful consideration and spoken to both I opted for the ophthalmic surgeon Mr Timothy Matthews at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. I was 100% confident in his ability to do a good procedure under best practices he’s friendly, welcoming and genuinely interested in helping. He answered all my questions in a very professional and concise manner which made me feel more confident and stress-free and nothing seems too much trouble for him often going beyond what is expected to assist.

Fast forward 2 months. I have both eyes done the second operation procedure completed two days ago under a tropical anaesthetic. Perfect distance vision and reading glasses which I don’t mind wearing as most people have them now. The hospital itself is the biggest in Europe it’s newly built so very fresh and clean with lots of light and gardens. So in conclusion Thanks you to the Mr timothy Matthews consultant surgeon t for all your help and guidance, its 5 Stars from me!

Absolutely useless. The website makes grand claims that it's "Making it easy for patients to provide feedback on their care" and "Trusted, independent information to help others find great care" but its registration procedure which is mandatory for leaving feedback makes it abundantly clear that it's for professionals only: therefore it is not making it easy for patients to provide feedback and it is not impartial.

Both of those issues are extremely obvious in the utterly fictitious gold-star reviews that it is giving health services that are notorious amongst patients for utterly failing. An absolute waste of space and potentially dangerously misleading.

i nice site to express your reviews, doctor Malik was my surgeon in the Mealor Hospital, he was such a lovely man, put me at my ease , he talked me through every thing and had such a lovely bedside, i would recomemend that Betsi Cadwalleder be struck of as a the register

The same common theme - they appear only to publish 'good' reviews. My review was not good and I really felt duty bound to warn others about a consultant surgeon. It was well written and factual, but never got published. No further comment necessary.
