I booked a "Business Class" seat with…
I booked a "Business Class" seat with Jetstar. Brisbane to Bangkok. I had the same booking last year. It is not a true business class seat. Last year it was a bigger seat with more legroom, and the TV/ Movie scree. But not much else. The in-flight meal was just your run of the mill, regular meal. Nothing special. This year they have "Refurbished" the business class area. They have taken out the bigger seats and replaced them with regular sized and uncomfortable economy seats. They do give you slightly more leg room, however they have removed the TV/Movie screens. You now have to log in on your own device for any entertainment. The meals are still the same.
THIS IS NOT BUSINESS CLASS !!!!!!!!
If you want a direct flight from Brisbane to Bangkok this is your only option you have, I would recommend that you do not pay extra for business class as it is a joke. If you want the business class experience pay the little extra and fly with another airline. I will not be flying with Jetstar again. Absolute rubbish.
Our flight from Gold Coast to Melbourne…
Our flight from Gold Coast to Melbourne was delayed for hours. We were repeatedly told there was a maintenance issue, so we kept waiting and hoping the flight would eventually leave.
After a few hours of waiting, the flight was cancelled. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating to spend so much time waiting at the airport only to find out that we weren’t going to fly.
Very unhappy with the experience and the way the situation was handled.
Humiliated, Discriminated Against and Left in Distress: Jetstar’s Appalling Treatment of a Young Passenger
I am absolutely appalled by the way Jetstar staff treated my young daughter when she was denied boarding over a passport validity issue. While we understand that travel rules must be enforced, there is no excuse for the humiliating, dismissive and shockingly insensitive treatment she experienced. When she explained that her visa had been granted using the same passport and simply asked for clarification, she was told that if she had questions about the rule, she should “go and see the Prime Minister” rather than speak to the staff. Her requests for a refund, flight change or credit were met with abrupt refusals and raised voices. Most disturbingly, she came away from this interaction feeling that she had been treated differently and discriminated against because of her nationality and the passport she carried. This is an extremely serious concern that Jetstar should investigate, not dismiss. She became so distressed that she suffered a panic attack and struggled to breathe at the airport, yet none of the staff involved showed enough basic humanity to check whether she was okay. Enforcing a travel requirement is one thing; humiliating a young passenger, making her feel discriminated against, and showing such a complete lack of compassion is another. This was disgraceful and unacceptable customer service, and an experience our family will not forget.

Very disappointing experience with Jetstar.
I was on flight JQ822 from Sydney to Brisbane on 8 September 2026 at 6:25 pm, and at the departure gate at Sydney Airport, I was charged $85 for additional carry-on baggage. I have taken many flights before, and none of the other airlines counted my laptop as part of my carry-on baggage weight. Jetstar was the first airline to do this, so the experience was very surprising and disappointing for me.
My carry-on itself was only around 5.5–6 kg, but Jetstar also counted my laptop towards the total weight. I explained to the staff that I did not know my laptop would be included in the weight limit. I told them that I was willing to pay if necessary, but the same additional baggage was available online for around $27, so I asked why the price at the airport was so much higher.
The staff simply told me that this was the price and that I had to pay immediately, otherwise my flight would be closed and I would not be allowed to board. I explained that I was travelling through my company and asked whether I could pay later through the company, but they said no.
What made this experience even more unacceptable was the way the staff treated me. I asked to speak with the manager to try to resolve the issue, but the manager was extremely rude and dismissive. I was simply told, “Either you pay now, or you’re not boarding.”
There was no attempt to provide a reasonable solution or even have a respectful conversation. Being forced to pay $85 at the gate when the online price was around $27, under the threat of being denied boarding, felt extremely unfair and exploitative.
This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have had with an airline. Jetstar should seriously reconsider both its baggage policy and the way its staff treat passengers.

Lost Luggage
If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to Bali for 7 days from Perth. Arrived and waited for 2hrs for my luggage, didn’t arrive. Rang Jetstar and was hung up on when I was explaining what had happened, called back. I spoke to a female and advised there is medication in the bag that is life saving. I had some with me but not enough for the whole trip. When I advised this she replied it will take 7-10 days for this to be looked into. The lack of care, and sensitivity was 0. She just said they would look into it and let me know. Not good enough at all. I will never 👎 use Jetstar again after this experience. I ended up getting my luggage on day 2 of my holiday, even though they have so many flights to Bali from Perth.
Jetstar don’t trust your luggage with them.
Jetstar experience
Jetstar experience — coming with an Uber first thing. Amazing that the signage clearly shows where the Jetstar baggage area is, and the taxi stops straight at the spot.
Then inside, it was very straightforward with self check-in and baggage, with staff available to support and advise on baggage and carry-on enquiries.
Moving to the baggage drop, I had some confusion with the process, but a Jetstar team member provided beautiful support and helped me through it.
At the gate entrance, the crew were really lovely and calming. I looked a bit worried that I was late, but they reassured us to relax and said they would make an announcement if needed.
A few weeks before the flight, I had to change one passenger’s name, so I thought the seats I had booked may have changed because the new passenger had a different seat. But on the plane, Christy was amazing. While people were boarding and she was multitasking, she helped me manage to sit beside my friend. After take-off, she found us really good spare seats so we could sit together.
Later, I completely forgot that I had vouchers to use on the plane. I was going through my chats trying to remember, but Christy actually came to me mid-flight and asked if I had used my vouchers, reminding me that I had some.
From the Uber drop-off to now, midway through the flight, I’m really loving the experience. The crew are honestly the best part of it — comfortable seats, an efficient trip, and amazing customer service. ❤️
JETSTAR worst airline if you're 50 's…
JETSTAR worst airline if you're 50 's or over and don't want to walk a mile from the departure to arrival with heavy suitcases, step staircase to the airport center; JETSTAR overcharging to paid $85 for 1 kg extra to your 7kg is disgusting, they don't even SANITASING the plane after each flights, in plane the floor or cracks seats old boarding papers left ,dirty floors, new age parents with screaming kids with no control and no stewards to not try to intervein, I recommend if you travel in Australia the bus or train is the best option no waiting at the security for hours and strip or service desk i know you paid for what is budget airline is better to get extra cash and have a free stressful holiday even if take longer to get to your destination trust me
Flight rescheduled at short notice
Flight rescheduled at short notice. Sat on my money for six months and didn't even get a refund of the card fee. Complaints always hit a blank wall - end of relationship.
So bad
I traveled a lot and with many different companies.
Jetstar is probably the very worst.
For the first time I wont take the cheaper flight if it is with them I'll go for more expensive.
Jetstar a truly Horrible and disgusting airline

I was flying on the days second flight, on 26/7/2026.
A gentleman called Donovan , who was the cabin manager really went out of his way to be polite, and make flying so much more pleasant.
I’ve been constantly flying for the last 37 years, and I’ve never seen someone as good as he was.

worst experience over the phone…
worst experience over the phone regarding making some changes. twice called disconnected, offcourse never returned the call back.
Conversation was not customer help focused.
These are some words: Confusion, not bothered & time taking
Aggressive up selling, obfuscated app
Their aggressive up selling strategies are highly unethical, they looks trained to act that way and pretend is normal all over Australia, specially in small airports.
I only have bad experience with this guys, they always are looking for a way to make me pay more, today in particular(Brisbane to Townsville) I get extra luggage because I know I will need 14 kg weight luggage space, get to the front of the boarding gate and they tell me that the luggage I pay was for checking, the website was ambiguous and it feels like information was intentionally obfuscated, so they charge me 80 aud on top of the 30 I already pay for the extra luggage.
Last time (Hobart to Melbourne) I was making a long line to check my luggage, they where extremely uncommunicative other airlines would have someone saying "It has being some changes, please everyone for Melbourne come this way" not Jetstar I get to the front of their luggage check in desk (30m early of my boarding time) and they tell me "Sorry but your flight already close doors"( the flight close before departure time even start in the app ,this is the first time in my live this happens to me) I tell them that I was all the time at the line, not the app or staff inform me. On top of that they say "that's why you needs to come 2 early", I was there....to top it up this trained money hungry people ask me if I want to buy a flight, in small airports like the one in Hobart specially for short flights kind of they have the Monopoly, so I don't have another choice than to buy another flight.
Before that (Hobart to Melbourne), I think they know they have the Monopoly on small airports for short flights because they are more money hungry there, My luggage was 7k and 200g, for that extra 200g they want me to pay 80 aud, they were trying to push me to pay because the boarding was starting, luckily I run to the toilet and put many tshirt layers on top of me and underwear, I put my sandals in the bin and I was able to make 7k, however every single time, every staff member, every where in Australia, each of them was aggressively and methodical ready to look for excuses to make me pay extra, not to find solutions, not to apologise. Is the equivalent on airline of and call center of Indian scammers.
Flight cancelled
Flight cancelled, no reason given no apologies. Lost day on my holiday. $100 out of pocket. Thanks Jetstar never again and I was flogging business class.
No one takes responsibility anywhere in…
No one takes responsibility anywhere in the Jetstar system to deal with people's travel issues as a result of Jetstar's actions. Whilst I accept that weather is beyond the control of the airline. What I dont accept is that when you pay for a return flight that has to be cancelled on the return leg, that the refund is $13, when the total flight cost was nearly $300. The replacement flight one way that I had to fly to get back on another airline was nearly $300.
This isn't a low fare airline at all- charging me $100 change fee x2 in the same day
This isn't a low fare airline at all. I'm traveling from Vancouver to Japan to Sydney to Melbourne to Sydney to Japan then finally back to Vancouver for a 49er game in Melbourne. There's a couple of venue's going on in Melbourne, I decide to go a day earlier for 49ers Melbourne Faithful Takeover. I selected the wrong time, and paid $100 on top the $596.26 = totaling $696.26! This is not a low fare airline, one of the 49er venue's starting at 11am - 2pm. This the reason I wanted to change my flight so I can attend the venue. The agent I chatted with wouldn't assist me by waiving the change fee for the 2nd time when I booked in the incorrect time. I'm traveling from 12,715 miles, they wouldn't assist me by waiving $100 fee for the 2nd time. If I were to visit Australia again, I wouldn't consider booking with this airline again. No compassion.
Never flying with this airline again
Never flying with this airline again. We were having issues with baggage allowance as the site crashed before we could finalise our payment, and ended up paying 60 dollars for extra carry on at check in. We tried talking to customer service multiple times to address this issue and hopefully get a refund or credit, and all conversations were shut down by staff. This company should not be trusted with your travel needs.

I called up to add my middle name as I forgot to add it to my booking and Bernadette added it straight away with no problems!
