Customer service more disappointing than the products

I purchased 2 diffuser refills in April at around £60 each at the same time as buying from another company also using the name Jo.

The ones from Jo Loves didn’t produce any fragrance at all so I contacted customer service who after several email exchanges and photos of the type of diffuser I was using, asking where it was positioned in the room, was it a sphere and did I rotate the sticks they
asked me to return them so they could be “tested”

I did so (at my own expense) but also said I didn’t expect them to be returned as I hadn’t sent full bottles back. I did however expect a response or at least some correspondence.

Here we are a couple of months later, no acknowledgement, which in itself is rude and poor customer service.

The other company’s refills (although slightly more expensive) are still going strong whereby the Mango Thai Lime and Fig Tree Jo Loves never got started!

Shocking customer service for a supposed “luxury” brand. Total waste of £120 and I didn’t even get the return postage back!

During the past few years

During the past few years, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional service at the now almost mythical Jo Loves boutique at 42 Elizabeth Street.

Whether visiting personally or sending friends to the store on my behalf, every single experience has been consistently outstanding. The team is incredibly warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They make every visit feel personal and memorable.

The boutique itself is a beautiful reflection of Jo Malone's creativity and vision. It is the perfect place to discover the remarkable olfactory creations of what I believe is her most personal and inspiring fragrance collection.

If you have the opportunity to be assisted by Krenara, you are in for a truly exceptional experience. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm make every visit unforgettable, and she is a wonderful ambassador for the Jo Loves brand.

I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this beautiful boutique. It is a destination that every perfume lover should experience at least once.

I am already looking forward to returning to 42 Elizabeth Street very soon.

A wonderful Company to deal with

For some reason that I cannot explain, when I tried to order various things on-line, I was unable to as the screen froze, but I contacted Jo Loves via their enquiry line and to say that all the staff I was in contact with were helpful is a serious understatement, they really did go the extra mile to ensure I could order the goods I wanted, they were fantastic and I can only say thank you to them and highly recommend the Company.

Excellent customer service

I wanted to send a birthday present to a friend but the site only let me choose a date for the next three days. I would be travelling on the due date so ordering on line would be be possible. I contacted Jo Loves support and they were most helpful in arranging the dispatch of the goods but advising their department that they should not be sent until three days before the birthday. I was delighted to hear from my friend that the present arrived on the actual day - and of course she was delighted with the contents as well as being surprised that I had managed to arrange it arriving on the due date - that was not down to me but to the excellent team at Jo Loves. Would not hesitate to use Jo Loves web site with their on line support.

Excellent Customer service as always

I popped into Elizabeth Street the other day (Friday 22nd May afternoon) and have to say was superb customer service. The lovely lady who served me talked me through the products and was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I hadn't planned to buy anything but ended up with a lovely new shower gel based on her recommendations. Thank you for great Customer Service. I would also add that I've bought many things online, and If I've ever had a query or needed to cancel anything, these have always been dealt with promptly and helpfully. Thank you Jo, and the team!

Fist class experience Jo Loves Elizabeth Street

I have been using Jo loves for a few years now and love Jo and what she brings are some very unique and outstanding products Jo is so inspiring knowledgeable and has many unique products
The service when the first boutique opened was amazing with the guys in store sadly this went down hill when they left with a cash and wrap impersonal service so was unsure what experience I was going to get
I was so impressed last week and had such outstanding professional and friendly service from Krenara she went out of her way to give great experience giving me my birthday gift and making me feel special talking and sharing our love for all Jo loves products I spent more than I planned as I was enjoying myself so much. I left with a beautiful bag full of goodies a big smile on my face
At last the service is now equal to the products I can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to return I wish everywhere I shopped and a kind caring professional staff who are great at building relationships yes you can buy on line or other retailers but please when in London pop into Elizabeth street and support this brilliant brand and I am confident you will have the best service thank you Jo and thank you Krenara see you soon

Krenara was amazing, she was happy to sort things out and honour our booking even though she didn't have it. Wonderful experience Jo the founder is an amazing lady, what a story what a creative gift! We got to combine things we'd never have tried. Krenara made our day highly recommended. Love the products. Seriously 11/10 for a relaxing lovely exploration into the world of Jo loves scent. It's way more than a scent for every season, it's a new experience every day 😀

Have been wearing Pomelo since the get go, currently have five fragrances on my dresssing table. However, very disappointed with response from customer care today. Their error is now my problem. They had no idea how to respond .... Chat GBT or AI? Not happy. Second email unacknowledged. And no, I don't need to be told to enjoy the rest of my day!

Shot candle experience was amazing!

My friend and I visited the flagship store on Friday for the shot candle experience. From the moment we stepped in the shop to the time we left the experience was amazing. We were welcomed by Krenara, the store manger, who guided us through the experience. As we sat sipping on mimosas, she guided us through creating our candle. She explained how it worked and then we went through all the scents, choosing our base and then shot to combine our own unique candle fragrance. Krenara was so knowledgeable on the scents and the company and chatting away to her the hour wizzed by. I can honestly say she made us feel really special and looked after.
I would 100% recommend this experience (and it actually works out as really good value for money). We left with our beautifully packaged candles (and a few extra bits - thank you Krenara!!) feeling inspired and refreshed. I will be back soon to buy some fragrances!!

No customer service - no priority to receive your orders

**** UPDATE - to their response which is completely inaccurate... The order was placed on 5th May and dispatched on the 7th/8th depending if you believe them or Royal Mail - RM did not try to deliver on the 9th and eventually delivered on 11th at 8:22pm not the 10th (I wrote the review on the afternoon of the 11th and hadn't delivered yet) - Not sure if Jo Loves literally cannot be bothered to look into this case correctly, incapable of correctly investigating or just lying to cover this review. Shame on you....

ordered some items as a gift. Items of this value, you expect to be sent promptly and by a courier service. After a few days, it was dispatched by Royal Mail. I've been told it will be delivered 8-9pm tonight, was also told it would be delivered two days ago and three days ago - ordered a week ago, and needed them for the gift yesterday. I contacted Jo Loves (two days ago) after not receiving the items as promised two days in a row and they responded today with it's not the experience they would want me to have - that doesn't help resolve the issue. I prompted again and asked for the items to be recalled and refunded - their response was for me to refuse delivery and send them back. I have asked how I can refuse delivery when Royal Mail will just leave it in the garden at 9pm (if they actually deliver) and had no response - first and last time contacting their 'customer services'. Jo Loves is supposed to be a luxury brand - they have lost their touch, and lost my custom.

We completely understand how frustrating it is when an order intended as a gift does not arrive within the timeframe you had hoped for. We can see that your order was placed on the 5th and dispatched promptly on the 6th using the complimentary standard delivery service selected at checkout. Delivery was then attempted by Royal Mail on the 9th and completed on the 10th.

While we do offer an express delivery option for customers requiring a guaranteed faster service, we appreciate that this does not lessen the disappointment caused when timings do not align with expectations, particularly for important occasions.

We are also sorry that our communication did not provide the reassurance or resolution you were looking for at the time. Your comments have been shared internally as we are always reviewing how we support our customers and delivery experience.

Tapas experience on my birthday 16/4…

Tapas experience on my birthday 16/4 just amazing with a glass of bubbly to celebrate too. Greated very warmly by the manager and then Kez took me on a fantastic journey of all the perfumes with stories of why Jo created them - she really knows her Jo Love perfumes and all the nuances of aromas along with little anecdotes about Jo. Both ladies were so friendly and engaging which made my birthday even more enjoyable. Thanks so much - i will continue to love Jo Loves fragrances with more knowledge now ❤️

Excellent day out at our Fragrance…

Excellent day out at our Fragrance Tapas Experience and got to meet Jo Malone herself. Big shout out to Kez who took us on a discovery perfume adventure and the story of each perfume that is sold there. Will definitely be returning for another workshop and to purchase more fragrances.

Refill problem quickly resolved

I had a problem with refills for the fragrance paintbrush. Customer Service replied promptly with solutions and this ultimately resulted in me being sent a new box of refills which have solved my problem. No complaints here, nothing but praise 👏👏👏👏

Great customer service

I placed an order for a diffuser which included a mystery gift but I forgot to type mystery when I checked out. I emailed Jo Loves when I realised my mistake and they replied that they’d send it to me anyway. Such great customer service.

Ordered direct from Jo Loves a number…

Ordered direct from Jo Loves a number of products. One being two hand and body washes. The picture shows two items, however only one arrives. Only if you read deeper it’s clear it’s one. Yet all other items show just one item in images.
Ordered Jo by Jo Loves from Sephora.
In all honesty smells great on spray but for me genuinely doesn’t last a hour.
Did also give me a dry skin neck rash and itch.
I emailed Jo loves regarding the hand and body wash, sympathetic but not interested. Did offer I could return, but items I bought were gifts. They said they would pass on feedback regarding images. It hasn’t changed though.
I didn’t follow up with Sephora, I’m sure they would accept an open used return.

I won’t return to Jo Loves I’m afraid, chapter over.

Regarding the Bath & Shower Gel, we can see that the product title and the basket and checkout pages do specify one item. However, we completely understand how the main image may have given a different impression at first glance. Thank you for pointing this out. No care for quality of products! Avoid this company.

Had a couple of issues with Jo Loves and poor quality items.

The customer service whilst responsive isn’t at all what you’d expect from a so called ‘luxury brand’

I’ve had issues with a Christmas candle not burning properly, and they referred me to the retailer I bought it from for help.

Cult beauty have been no help whatsoever and just said nothing they can do!

So wasted £90 on a candle I can’t even enjoy properly.

Shocking service and as this isn’t the first issue I’ve had I will never shop with Jo Loves again.

We’re truly sorry to hear that your candle did not burn correctly. This really isn’t the experience we want for our customers. While we completely understand how frustrating this is, we regret that we were unable to offer a full replacement on this occasion, as it was purchased through a third party.

For the best performance, we do recommend allowing the candle to burn long enough on its initial use for the entire surface of the wax to melt evenly. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures a more consistent burn in future uses.

Didn't receive order

Didn't receive order. JoLoves didn't ship the order for over a week. I went to check the status and it said "unfulfilled". I still haven't received it as of this review. (9 days later)

I contacted customer service and they said "sorry we are really busy". They said they would ship it that day and I'd receive a tracking number. I never received a tracking number.

Poor quality bottles and poor response to a genuine issue.

I was given as a gift some shower gel. When I went to use it, the pump didn't work. Then trying to get the pump to work meant we lost quite a bit of the product as we had to wash it off the pump/tube every time we withdrew it from the bottle otherwise it made it hard to try and turn the pump/tap. The gel was is to viscous to get back into the bottle without making a mess everywhere.

In the end we gave up trying to get it to work and reached out to Jo Loves for a replacement shower gel. Because the shower gel was a gift all they said they would do is send a us a replacement pump/tap unless I could give them proof of purchase.

Then I was asked to take a photo and send it, clearly this showed an authentic Jo Loves product. Then I was asked if I could give them the name of the person who gave it to us, I was genuinely unable to provide the name of the person who gifted the bottle to me (apparently they would be able to look up if they bought it). Despite the photo, and the reason why I couldn't name the person who gave us the gel, they still refused to send a replacement. Even as a gift recipient I should still be entitled to a remedy for a manufacturing fault that led to me loosing some of the product (gel). All this took numerous emails to and fro over a number of days! Now I haven't heard anything from them and still have a bottle of shower gel I can't use!

Jo Loves places its self as a premium product but the bottles are seemingly of poor quality.

A poor experience. I am dissatisfied with the level of customer service. Poor quality bottles considering the price of the product and its position in the market.

I just want to add that I have just had a similar issue with an Ortigia product. They haven't asked for proof of purchase, their email was courteous and helpful, they even offered me a discount on further products. WOW what a difference!
