I have purchased and sold my homes twice now with Kari and Darren. Both sales on each occasion were quick and profitable. I would not consider using any other agents in this city to do either because of how hard they worked and the outcome. My partner and I decided to buy a home together so I sold my condo on Capitol Hill. Kari and her team did a great job marketing and selling the condo. We then purchased a beautiful craftsman on Beacon Hill using Kari as our agent. She is a genius negotiator and got us a great deal on the price of the house. As well as repairs done by the sellers that we didn’t think was possible to obtain in the Seattle market. During the pandemic we realized the beautiful home we purchased was too large for just us two. Kari and Darren worked swiftly to get our house sold. The house was well staged and the attention to detail was stellar. We had offers on our home the first day it went on market. We ended up selling for a much higher price than the list price. This allowed us the extra funds we needed to get a townhome in Alki. Which they also helped us purchase. Super impressive because it was the first home we bid on during a time when houses are scarce. In addition to helping my partner and I, they took on two of my referrals and helped them with their house search as well. Everyone I have sent their way really enjoyed working with Kari and her team. The benefits are endless but to name a few: reliable contractors, great marketing staff, responsive and upfront answers, access to current real estate marketing trends, amazing personalities and the confidence that your agent knows what she’s doing. I’ve seen some serious real estate disasters in my time so it’s very important that you get an agent that is experienced. Overall the way Kari and her team is aligned you get streamlined/organized help with your buying and/or selling it simplifies just about every aspect.

If wouldn't be Kari and Darren I wouldn't be sitting now in our beautiful home with our infant in my lap and writing this review. Words can't describe how lucky and thankful we were to work with this wonderful team. It created a special bond that will last forever. From the first time we had a zoom call with Kari and Darren we knew that they would be the perfect team to trust and help us finding our home, and we were not wrong at all. Their knowledge, professionalism, experience in this market, attention to details make them to be unique in all ways. They were present everywhere with us and guide us throughout the entire process.
First time in the housing market and having 2 little kids - 3 years old and 6 weeks old it was a real challenge, but Kari and Darren were there for us all the time, and we always felt so much energy and confidence coming from their side that inspired us as well. I really liked the way how Kari was encouraging and reminding us to get the house we love but not just a house. They are incredible and we thank God for sending them towards our way. As first time home buyers, we had no idea how buying a house worked. We weren't sure of the steps involved, what the market was like, what style of house we wanted or even what 'closing' meant! Kari, Darren and her team did a 12/10 job helping us out with all of those questions we had.

Kari and Darren explained the whole process to us before, during, and after (it felt like getting a mini college course on real estate!!). Whenever we had questions, they answered. Kari and Darren were also there for our signing, our closing day, every single house tour, and all the pieces in between whenever we needed help.

We are both engineers, so we have very demanding schedules but Kari was able to work with our schedule basically seamlessly. We were able to reach her and her team anytime we had questions and they were able to setup home tours around our schedule.

Beyond just explaining every step of the process to us, the other thing that was extra special about Kari was that she had so much respect for us and genuinely wanted to make sure we chose the right house for us. This was so important to us in the end, especially in a market like this - buying a house can be a pretty long and draining process and it can be disappointing to not be able to find 'your' house. Sometimes - this can end up with settling for a house! We had a few moments where we wanted to settle and Kari would not let that happen! Before we made any decisions, Kari made sure it was what we wanted.
Thank goodness Kari encouraged us to keep on looking and not settle because In the end we were able to find our DREAM HOUSE (really, it's the perfect house for us). When we finally found our home, Kari even made sure to check if we were sure it was the one since it was missing one thing we had on our list - this is something I don't think many real estates might do but it just showed how much respect she had for both of us!

Kari was excellent in helping us navigate the process of putting in a competitive offer. She walked us through every single step of the process (counter offers, contracts etc.) Beyond just finding our house - she also had the greatest people to refer us to. We wanted to get our carpet replaced before moving in and and she was able to refer us to a person who came out and gave us a bid. That really made moving in so much easier as we had one less thing to worry about.

In all, we would 120% recommend Kari to anyone looking to buy a home. I would buy another house through her -- but we might never leave since we love our house so much!!
