Absolute a$$$. Took a perfectly fine company and platform and drove it into the ground. Here is a list of things Kast does horribly:
+ Downloading software to your computer to use, only to make you download MORE, EXTERNAL software to fix problems they can't fix themselves which brings me to my next issue..
+ AUDIO. If you want to cast a movie forget about hearing it unless you're the one casting it!
+ Customer support. They refer you back to their helpless review pages then ask you if that helped solved your problem.
+ Lags so bad my 90 year old grandmother could run a 5K marathon before it loads three frames of a movie.
It's evident that the Kasting software engineers only have an 8th grad home economics class as their software background. Very sad.

One of the most god awful applications I have ever had the displeasure of using. My boyfriend and I used to use Rabbit and it was phenomenal, we got to watch anything with their virtual machine. It ran perfectly aside from a few bugs here and there, but nothing like the pile of dog crap we have now, Kast. Kast is so incredibly laggy and the video sharing is terrible. The voice chat echoes and it's the only thing you can use while screen casting as other voice chat applications don't work. Kast is like if you took Discord, smothered it in juice from the bottom of a garbage can, ate it, and then puked it back up. Not worth anyones time to even consider downloading. You guys messed this up baaad. Bring back Rabbit. Or have your app fail miserably. Looks like you've already got a head start on that one!

Unacceptable quality.
The visual design is good but the quality of the service and consistency is nonexistant. I cannot believe that anyone in their right mind would consider even releasing this software in its current state, nor do I see how anyone could say this is an upgrade or even a compromise for Rabb.it. This is a total downgrade and unusable 95% of the time, sometimes 100% for long periods of time with group syncing problems, massive latency with simple transactions like messages and invites (though this has improved, the other things have not,) and things making it impossible to watch, such as members not appearing in the same group and etc..

I sincerely hope this program is improved substantially, though it's already been over a month of basically the same issues as day one which I understand, coding and getting servers set up takes time, but please make it work, or else this is a permanant slap in the face for everyone who enjoyed the previous service.

literally the worst program ever. I used to use rabb.it alot to watch stuff with friends until this garbage company bought them out. Now we try to use kast and it literally never works. They fix one problem, guess what, another shows up. literally unusable and the company has literally no developers with even the slightest clue how to fix the smallest problems. Even today it still doesn't work, good job kast, you suck.

i only gave this app a shot due to discord having some audio issues currently due to google chrome. kast is unnecessarily difficult to navigate, you cant fullscreen the video youre sharing unless you stay on the page rather than kast, and the video lags so badly that the service isnt even worth it. i dont see why they didnt just change the name of rabbit to 'kast' and kept all the functions we loved.

in my time and experience with this app thus far i had to spend to ever get this app set up, between having tried to watch something with my boyfriend, my friends, and not a single time have we managed to get the blessed thing to work, not once have we managed to watch a single thing together... Kast needs to get its proverbial crap together, because right now i don't know a single person that wants it over the application it replaced

Was hard initially to set up and irks me the wrong way when it comes to privacy due to lack of VM's. Also isn't completed

Absolutely the worst experience ive ever had with streaming.
The whole thing is frustrating and confusing to use, nothing is ergonomically laid out and it's all laggy and awful to use.

It should not be that hard to create a room with 2-3 friends and watch a movie, yet somehow it took me and my fiance 40 minutes to figure out how to use this awful backwards system, and even then once they'd figured it out we decided it wasn't worth it and closed the software.
Rabbit was far from perfect but at least the software worked!

I miss rabbit and its virtual machine, It was the best on internet to watch together with friends

This was the worst movie sharing experience i've ever had, I've never written a review but this calls for one! The audio and video were constantly out of sync by 1-5 seconds and it took way way way slower than Rabbit to buffer.. they've taken an amazing thing and made it utter garbage. :)

Kast took a great media streaming service and turned it into complete garbage. Nothing works; it lags like crazy, and it only has one option for audio and video streaming. With rabb.it, you could have a movie streaming, a friend videochatting, and audio. If I could give it negative stars I would. I miss rabb.it.

Kast just missout on everything that Rabbit did right.

It picks up your voice along with the audio and you can't have a chat without getting wierd echoes.. Bleh...

doesn't even work. after sh​it loads of updates, it's still bs.

Rabbit was more simple and better, with no delay.

kast is literally the worst thing that's happened to screen sharing. it's not even operable. R.I.P rabbit man, the last hope for screen sharing with ya homies

Just terrible.
This company took away the only really great and FREE screen sharing for movies application (Rabbit) and utterly destroyed it. Rabbit brought so much joy into my long distance relationship with my girlfriend and Kast destroyed it. Their program is unusable. There is absolutely NO WAY for you to speak with other party members while hearing audio from Netflix, movies, etc...why did you do this, Kast?

It's like if a company decided start a really crappy online shopping website...but then also decided it was necessary to shut down Amazon. Why?

Screw this program. Doesn't work or load up properly. TRASH! GARBAGE!
