Enrolled end of last year but couldn’t attend live webinars due to personal circumstances, I went over the recorded sessions in January of this year and found them extremely helpful and to the point, would 100% recommend, particularly impressed that Rob was always on hand via chat for any questions

Great informative course
I finished the interpreting course with Learnqual and I cannot describe how well presented is this! I was able to do it in my own time and recordings were also available to re watch again if necessary. It gives you lots of information and tips for this career. I 100% recommend it! Fantastic Service
I did the Community Interpreting Level 3 and It was really straightforward and the course has all the resources that you need to do well in the exam and know about this role.
Am really thankful to the whole team for creating such great content and for being really responsive throughout the whole process.

Feedback on Ajub Janbaz webinars
I attended Ajub Janbaz webinars and agreed with one of the feedback from Ajub. He spoke a different language with other students and you didn't understand what they were talking about, making me feel non-professional as a tutor. I know he might try to make fun in the class but might not be respectful to others.
I will suggest anyone who wants to take the course should log into the learn hub to watch the videos and resources from another tutor before they go for the webinars(if you have some questions to ask) as I think that is more comfortable to learn.

I am sorry that you didn't enjoy Ajub's sessions - as you can see from the many reviews on here his style and methods usually attracts high praise and he is one of, if not the, best tutors teaching interpreting subjects. Of course, everyone is different and it seems his style was not to your taste. Fortunately like you suggest there are pre-recorded webinars available with an alternative tutor and the live sessions are optional so students have freedom to choose should they prefer one or the other.
Great experience with LearnQ
I completed the Community Interpreting Level3 course in November2023 and passed my exam in December.
I’ve really enjoyed the course. It’s informative, there are lots of useful videos for practicing on the site ,lessons are interesting and engaging .
It gives you clear understanding of the interpreting as a profession, teaches you interpreting techniques ,how to prepare to assignments etc.
I’d like to mention separately that the admin team is very approachable, you receive replies without delays and you can always reach them on phone which is such a rare treat nowadays.

A really excellent course in so many ways
I have been really enjoying the course. It was absolutely excellent one - well-organised, perfectly structured, flexible, with very good online resources for learning.
I like to thanks to the tutor Ajub who was very professional, helpful and friendly, to Rob Mynett for his brilliant book "How to become a Public Service Interpreter" which is practical and informative, and essential for newcomers to this profession.

An extremely complete course in Level 3…
An extremely complete course in Level 3 Community Interpreting. Every class was enjoyable, direct and thorough. There was no waffle and due to family commitments I was grateful that I could watch the recording at my own pace. Rob explained and emphasised the fundamentals of interpreting and the importance of adhering to the codes of practice in order to qualify and obtain accredited certification. I feel confident and well equipped regarding the protocols I need to follow to succeed in my new career.

They will fail your exam continuously…
I’ll speak from my own experience. I’ve been through 2 exams, both made to fail… According to their feedback, the 1st exam I’ve made a conversation between two parties possible ( that is what an interpreter should do, the main job), professionally. The reason they use to fail me, was I’ve not mentioned all the elements in a sequence. Such a minor omission, was used to fail the exam. They said, in real life it could be a life endangering mistake.
It took me a year and a half to decide if I should give it another try, to pay another £150 for exam re-sitting. The second time, I did the same good interpreting, made a conversation between two parties possible, professionally. ( As was mentioned in their feedback). They made me fail again, this time for “Bad English”. So, during my first exam, I had no “Bad English Problems” at all. After a year and a half, living UK everyday life, they discover I just started to have it. It seems a lot of “problems” do appear during the LearnQ exams, and if nothing else is worth mentioned, they use “English Problems”.
It looks to me, as an abusive “business model”, a way of “legally squeezing/ stealing” money for exam re-sitting. Each time, they are eager to find/ invent reasons and exaggerate even smallest problem. After my first review here, their CEO, the “proud one” started an aggressive campaign to intimidate me and take my review off the site. He started to give some misleading and manipulative information, which later were edited. He even declared himself threatened by legal action against him. A thief should feel threatened by law, indeed.
I’ve seen another LearnQ - 1 star review here. It reports same abuse and call LearnQ a scam company. LearnQ CEO, the “proud one” soon came to decline all of it and mention mistaken translation, gave samples. It is difficult to say what’s correct or not. What appear to happen frequently, is failing student’s exam based on smallest/ invented reason, which will bring LearnQ CEO continuous money from exam re-sitting. £150 again and again. Be ready to begin to have “BAD ENGLISH PROBLEMS”, if you choose LearQ.
I have it confirmed from even another person; LearnQ use to fail people at least 3 times before let them pass the exam. A strange way to make money for a so “proud and professional” company. After they attract you with apparently less expensive interpreting course, they seem to make you re-sit exams as long as they get the money wanted.
Do I have to deal with UK thieves? Do you? Does a thief look better, if posing “proud and professional”?
Now, I’m looking to get legal help to deal with this. If any want to join - just contact me for a possible group action. Another recommendation, if you are their student, try to record the exams, even they don’t allow it, try to get proofs as much as possible.

As the largest provider of Level 3 Interpreting qualifications in the UK, hundreds of students study and take exams with us every year. As you can see from our other reviews, the majority of those students pass first time, with a large percentage of those who do not pass first time passing on the second attempt. As an Accredited provider, our exams results are not just verified by ourselves, but also by our Awarding Organisation and ultimately the UK Government Regulator of qualifications, Ofqual, meaning that we cannot indulge in the practices that you suggest in your review.
Unfortunately, you have failed the exam twice now, and this is not due to a conspiracy against you or anyone else but simply because you did not prove that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to be a competent interpreter. The detailed reasons for this are set out in your feedback forms so that you can work on your development areas.
Interpreting is a responsible position and interpreters work with the most vulnerable people in societly, helping them access services that they would otherwise not be able to access due to a language barrier. The risks connected with having a poor interpreter include not getting the help they need and have, time and again, led to deaths. Due to this level of responsibility, we cannot simply pass people because they have paid or because they threaten us with legal action. We are proud of the robustness of our qualifications and take our responsibility to only allow competent interpreters to receive a qualification very seriously.

I have been watching the recordings of Ajub Janbaz all the way through. Although the sessions were interactive and friendly, I found Ajub's style quite patronising. When people had questions, he would quite rudely tell them: "I asked you not to interrupt me". He often ridiculed people when they gave the incorrect/incomplete answers. He often laughed at his own jokes. When people tried to summarise their answers, he often would say "Yes, this is what I said". Most importantly, he would speak Spanish to one of the learners, which meant that everyone else (either being in the call live or people who watched the recordings afterwards) were excluded.

I am surprised that you did not enjoy the recordings of the classes - as you can see from our reviews here Ajub normally gets outstanding feedback from students and is doing a fantastic job. However, we appreciate everyone is different and what works for the majority doesn't work for everyone. If you do not like Ajub's style there are alternative recordings of ALL the webinars in the LearnHub which you have access to from the moment you sign up and although the information is the same it is a different tutor and a slightly different delivery style. It sounds like you haven't logged in to the LearnHub and accessed the resources there but if not I would strongly advise you to do so as there are additional resources including a bonus webinar (also not delivered by Ajub), past papers and other materials to help you prepare for your exam.
