Becky and the staff at the Life Coach Directory are an absolute delight to work with, always so helpful and professional. I joined the directory a couple of years ago and my experiences have always been fantastic. They don't just direct clients, they also offer many marketing opportunities and other such things. For clients, it is a brilliant place to find a life coach, to make sure they access qualified professionals.

I highly recommend the Life Coach Directory for both Coaches and Clients alike. My coaching company has received a steady stream of leads over the past couple of years and the support from the admin team, in particular from Hannah, has been second to none. Coaching is an unregulated industry so it’s great that clients can be assured that any coach they select from the directory will have the requisite certifications and experience. I love that recently the directory asked us (The ADHD Advocate) to do an explainer video on ADHD Coaching which should hopefully encourage ADHDers to engage with a process that will help them tell a new more empowering story about themselves and their ADHD.

Hi, I found Petras` article really helpful. Sometimes we just want to read something that does not provide straight solutions but strengthen you to at least trust on self to find one.

I had a profile drop-in session with Jay and he went above and beyond to help me get the best from my profile and even how I can best position my skills as a coach - which I know will help me get clients from the Life Coach Directory and elsewhere.

I have been with Life Coaching Directory for about 12 years now .I have found it to give me a low , slow, steady amount of clients . Some months better than others but I think , always reflecting the general demand for life coaching which is out there . It has been far more productive than other listings definitely.
The great things about the Directory are brilliant and helpful team and the insightful infographics . Just recently I spoke to Hannah on the team with a query , she was so helpful, professional and knowledgeable.
I highly recommend Life Coach Directory to any future users or coaches .

I really rate the Life Coach Directory as a source for coaching clients and a super service team behind the scenes.

Whenever I've had a question or need some help with my profile, I have sent an email and Hannah has taken time to call me to talk me through ideas.

I love that the profiles can offer so much detail so clients can get a real flavour of your coaching style and offering.

The team are super lovely and supportive. It's been a pleasure being on this platform and I've loved working with the clients on here :)

I didn't achieve a single client from my month with life coach directory - not even a single enquiry! And I paid an additional fee for a ”top-listing” too so that I’d be positioned top of the pile should anyone search by my postcode - (London) SE1

According to their system only 2 people throughout the whole month searched on SE1 - so each of those two searches cost me £10

I've cancelled my account with the life-coach directory - not because of the above though - but because of the following:

When you sign up you're given the option of paying for the whole year or monthly. I chose monthly paying £19.95 each month

What I failed to notice, buried within the small-print (the t&c’s that most of us don’t read) is that if you want to cancel they want 30 days notice - and in writing too.

Now think about that!!

If you've signed up for one month because you want to see how it goes, you know, does it generate client enquiries - unless you cancel within the first two days, you've already fallen foul of their 30 cancellation policy and committed yourself to pay for 2 months rather than one.

As I had received zero client enquiries I attempted to cancel during the first month - only to be told....

”I'm sorry to hear that you wish to cancel your membership. Your last payment will be taken on 13th February 2022 in accordance with our 30 day notice period”

You see - they're well aware that they're enforcing this policy.

In my mind this is shifty business practice.

So, even though after a few emails back and forth arguing my point - when they finally agreed not to charge me the second month’s payment and offered to work with me to improve my profile, I remained steadfast - on principle and cancelled. I prefer not to work with business who are not up front and honest.

In response to my complaint about this 30 notice period - the reply came back with....

”Naturally, we are really sorry you have found our 30-day notice policy so upsetting. It is in no way designed to lock people in but is very much geared towards us both having the time to get the profile right.”

I found that response somewhat amusing - if it’s about “time to get the profile right”, then why not be honest about it and only sell a two-month membership rather than selling one month and then “forcing” us to pay for two months because of a clause hidden in the t&cs?

And, finally....

Why oh why would anyone really want 30 days notice and in writing In this day and age!! I've recently switched my gas and electric - no notice period. No ”in writing”

Ah well. Can’t say I didn’t try.

I gave it 2 stars rather than 1 star because the website is very well constructed and easy to use

I would be happy to delete this review if the cancellation policy is removed. Still not happy to pay £40 for not a single enquiry - but I guess you takes your chances - win some lose some. This was definitely a loss.

Despite attempted justification in the reply below i hope anyone can see you can’t justify allowing someone to pay for a service for one month and then forcing them to pay for two months if they don’t cancel within 48 hours! And hiding that in the t&cs. If you think it’s a good idea why not make it obvious?

Hannah was extremely personable and helpful in advising me to set up my coaching profile. Im very satisfied with the care and attention she gave me in uploading a successful profile

The team running Life Coach Directory are all super-helpful and supportive. Their personalised approach to customer service is second to none. Highly recommended.
