A parasitic leech on the UK taxpayer

A parasitic leech on the UK taxpayer. They scheme with fake recruitment agencies to lure the unemployed onto their "2 week online warehouse course". The government pays for each person — who must be on benefits — to complete their useless courses. Not only that, the recruitment agencies pitch it as if you are guaranteed a job afterwards.

Nothing against the trainers — they are all nice — but this is an obvious company that gets fat by taking advantage of blind and incompentent govermnent subsisdies, a complete fraud — at least so for the case of their warehouse courses.

I wish I read the reviews earlier

I wish I read the reviews earlier.
I'm going thru the online digital marketing course now. Its very basic, merely introductinary, there is no academic knowledge, full of external links to learn from blog posts !!! I get assessd on every unit by diffrent person, some requires in depth answers on academic level yet there is no academic level provided to learn from. looks like someone slapped it all together for money. I would report them for abusing government funds if I knew how,

Ticking boxes for government funding

I completed a government-funded 2-month Digital Marketing Bootcamp (valued at £3,000 per student) with LMP Education. Unfortunately, several issues were consistently experienced across two cohorts of 60+ students:

What Was Promised

- Full-time daily online classes (9:30am–5pm) and weekly in-person masterclasses

- Three certificates: Google Analytics, Google Fundamentals in Digital Marketing, and an LMP certificate

- A free tablet upon 8 week course completion

- A job interview and six months of tailored career support

What Actually Happened

- Shortened sessions: Classes ran ~3 hrs/day; afternoons were mostly unguided self-study.

- Repetitive content: Key topics (like branding, CVs, LinkedIn profile) repeated without added depth.

- Minimal hands-on training: No practical exercises in SEO, analytics, or campaign tools.

- Portfolio guidance was basic: No mention of industry-standard case studies.

- Certificates delayed: LMP certificate is digital and arrived a month later, not accredited, and appeared unofficial.

- Tablet issues: Many didn’t receive one, or received a low-cost model (£49), not the advertised device.

- Poor interview support: Disorganized scheduling, no job descriptions, often irrelevant roles with the same independent contractors or freelancers (e.g. door to door sales, design, insurance).

- Limited post-course support: Generic job emails, unrelated apprenticeships, little or no CV feedback, mismatched opportunities, roles requiring unrelated languages.

Final Note

The most valuable part of the course was the masterclass with an external expert — informative, engaging, and professional.

For those looking to genuinely learn digital marketing without the burden on the taxpayer, I recommend starting with Google's free Fundamentals of Digital Marketing and Google Analytics certifications — practical, accredited, and far better structured.

Spammers

I've received three spam emails from this company. I'm an individual, not a company. This kind of spam is illegal in the UK. They sent the spam to an address that has never been used by anyone.

They're using Go Data for their email marketing, but LMP are responsible for the spam sent on their behalf.
If they really have to send spam, they should do it legally and use a reputable email marketing company instead.

Tutors were good, friendly knew there subject.

The course itself was well designed, it was a warehouse level 2 course, we all learned alot and a speed that was right

Worst experience ever!

Worst experience ever!! I was told I will be given support but never received it. On numerous occasions I had emailed the tutor for advice and help but never got a response. Was promised a hard copy for studying but never arrived. If your thinking about doing a course.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY!

I wish this was a better organised apprenticeship

I started my apprenticeship in Business Administration in March 2023 and finished in June 2024. Throughout this experience i had multiple problems with the company that i wish didn't happen a it would have made my learning and experience so much better. I had one tutor at the start that was lovely and we did group sessions with other people doing the same apprenticeship, this i found very beneficial. Then there was no call/meeting set up for over a month and i was left with no work and unsure who to contact. i then found out that my tutor was no longer working for the company or moved to different job role. I got given another tutor who only did 1 on 1 sessions with me. when i handed in the work she would take ages to mark it and keep onto of things i was uploading. the feedback i was getting was very pointless and not very helpful. She was a lovely person but when it came to explaining things to me she just re-read me the questions even though i clearly did not understand. She didn't offer much help until my mum had a phone call with her to explain my difficulty understanding things and the levels of my anxiety coming up to deadlines. My tutor told me my deadline was one date which seemed a bit unreasonable when looking at the amount of course work i had left to do, so in my own head i had kind of given u and didn't see the point in trying as i wasn't going to make the deadline to pass the apprenticeship. After having the phone call with my mum i found out this was not a certain deadline and did not need to be met and it could be pushed back. I also got told my apprenticeship presentation had to be 15 minutes (give or take a minute). I then got into the meeting to do my presentation on the 11/07/2024 and got told it had to be minimum of 10 minutes and absolute maximum of 15 minutes. This then made me feel under pressure.
As a whole i just with this experience was more organised and better communication was involved. I don't feel i had a good 15 months of learning.

I had the best tutor Gina was fantastic, when I needed help , Gina was always happy to help. I have to say I couldn’t of asked for a better tutor .

Courses are good. Receipt of certificate, not so good.

I finished my course in December. As of today, I am still waiting for my certificate. 12 weeks to receive the certificate. The file was "lost" by the relevant body and it had to be resent. Apparently staff only go into the office once a month to send certificates out. I received the e-certificate (They didn't get funding for me to print out my certificate). Still waiting for the hard copy.
I loved the course, but shouldn't have to wait so long for the end result. Longest I've ever had to wait for a certificate.
I'm not blaming LMP, but, surely they could find a different body to award and send out certificates.

Update 17/5/2024.
I contacted the body responsible for the certificates and they were most helpful. I should have actually received my certificate before it came to this. The body responsible for certificates weren't to blame. They contacted LMP. It was easier for LMP to blame someone else.
I also contacted LMP again and the upshot is that I finally received my certificate on the 16th. It appeared to be reissued!!
I've since gone back to Activate Learning who are so much better.

Amazing course, amazing tutor

My short course in level 2 customer service was very enjoyable and my tutor was fabulous, we learned so much that I am inspired to apply for jobs that I really want. It was so good that I'm going to sign up for another one. Please note that courses are free if you are on qualifying benefits 😉

Fantastic level 2 fast-track customer service course

After just completing a remote 12-day fast track level 2 qualification customer service course, I cannot rate this company high enough. The course itself exceeded my expectations. It was intense as to be expected, gaining a level 2 qualification in 12 days. Samantha (Sam) out tutor and my fellow students made it a fantastic experience. The interaction and work content made the course interesting and enjoyable. Those 12 days flew by and I'm looking forward to using my new qualification towards the next chapter in my journey. Extra special thanks to Sam for the huge amount of work and effort she put in - if you read this Sam - you're the BEST!
