Awful company
Awful company. I paid for basic will writing and when on the call the woman tried to upsell everything under the sun. She would not take no for an answer and kept pushing us asking why we didn't want the upsell(£1000 extra) her attitude was awful and we left the call feeling quite upset. She then sent the draft will over full of errors, i sent them back and explained the errors and they sent them wrong again! at this point i cancelled the whole thing and asked for a refund. Complete waste of time and a huge scam!

Hi,
Thank you for your review. However, some of the statements made are misleading and require clarification.
The purpose of sending a draft Will is precisely so that the client can review it, identify any amendments required and inform us of any changes before the document is finalised. Drafts are not intended to be treated as the final version.
We are required to explain the additional protection options available to clients because many of our customers require or benefit from these provisions. Explaining these options is not the same as upselling, and there is no obligation to purchase any additional service.
You subsequently chose to cancel your instructions, and your refund has already been issued in accordance with the applicable refund process. Therefore, describing our company as a “scam” is entirely unjustified. Allegations of that nature, when unsupported by the facts, are defamatory.
We are disappointed that you were unhappy with the service, but we will not accept inaccurate or defamatory allegations about our company.

Just renewed our wills with Secure…
Just renewed our wills with Secure Legacy & from start to finish we have nothing to complain about. They did try to upsell us things but we weren’t pressured into anything. From the 1st phone call it was very quick (2weeks) & the wills are both completed & stored in a secure place. We had the choice to send them back & they would store them but we chose to keep them ourselves. All staff members we dealt with were very polite & helpful & we would most definitely recommend them to friends & family.
Thank you to Secure Legacy 👍

An OK experience. Relatively happy.
The people we spoke to were professional and friendly and the process of obtaining a simple will was simple to communicate. However, although we requested the simplest of wills there were several mistakes in the first drafts. These were incorrect titles, misspelt surnames and inconsistencies with relationships to the beneficiaries. In addition to this a lot of time on the phone was wasted with selling up of various products such a lasting power of attorney, protecting assets, document storage and executor assistance. I stated clearly that ALL I wanted was a simple will at the stated price.
Anyway I now have my wife's and my wills completed correctly and the process was done and dusted quite quickly so good marks for that.

Good value and easy process
Very easy and straightforward and a very low price. Also good value for storage of the will and they are named and can act as executor if necessary.
There was some attempt to add additional products which I did not need but others would probably benefit from.
Very good service.

Beware of hard sell of add on services!
We were happy to sign up for the will writing and power of attorney service. On our call we were strongly encouraged to also arrange for our ownership structure of our property to be revised.
We had strong reservations, which we expressed at the time, but were assured that saying yes would enable us to find out more with no commitment.
After receiving more information we took 4 further days to confirm that we did not want this extra service.
We have now been informed that because we did this 16 days after our initial call we will not receive a refund of the £495 pounds they deducted in advance.
So, BEWARE of hard sell of add on services and BEWARE of promises that a full refund is available!
We are taking advice on how to proceed….

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
We would like to clarify that as part of the process, the cancellation terms were explained and the applicable cancellation period had passed when the request to cancel this additional service was received.
By that stage, the work relating to the service had already been completed, and the relevant documentation had been prepared, posted and delivered. As a result, we were unable to provide a refund for work that had already been completed and supplied.
We also want to clarify that there was no promise that a refund would remain available indefinitely. The cancellation rights applied within the stated cancellation period.
Kind Regards - Secure Legacy
Quick and efficient service thank you!
