Avoid. Harassed my elderly mother onto getting unnecessary maintenance contract for 15 year old solar power system, then pressured her to get unnecessary work done, even asking her if she had a power of attorney!,, which says everything you need to know about their intentions. Purdued a refund , they sent emails promising a refund but yo this date nothing , that was months ago, AVOID.....Avoid ...avoid.

I decided to purchase their 10-year maintenance plan.Together with 2 storage batteries. The maintenance plan gives great peace of mind. It covers the solar panels, inverter and batteries for both parts and labour for 10 years, and also includes an annual clean and inspection.

The team were friendly, professional and easy to deal with, and I was impressed with the level of service throughout. It’s reassuring knowing the system will be properly looked after for the next 10 years. I’d happily recommend L & R Renewables.

I needed to reset my password to access the Growatt website, but was unable to do so via email, so had to ask LR to do it for me. this was accomplished within minutes. easy if you can speak to the right person.
LR renewables appear to be very busy and it is not always possible to contact anyone who can help with an issue.

Really happy with the service from L & R Renewables. We’d been having problems with birds getting under the solar panels, which was becoming a real nuisance, so we had bird mesh fitted to stop them getting underneath.

The team were friendly, helpful and easy to deal with from the start. They explained what they were doing, got on with the job without any fuss and left everything neat and tidy afterwards.

The bird mesh looks really discreet and, most importantly, has sorted the problem. Really pleased with the whole experience and would happily recommend L & R Renewables.

I recently used L & R Renewables for the installation of a battery system and also decided to take out their maintenance plan, and I have been extremely impressed with the service from start to finish.

From the initial enquiry, the team were professional, knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. Everything was explained clearly, including how the battery system would work, the benefits it would provide and what to expect from the installation. There was no pressure at any stage, just straightforward advice and excellent communication.

The installation itself was carried out to a very high standard. The engineers arrived on time, were polite, tidy and respectful of the property, and clearly took pride in their work. The whole process was efficient and well organised, and they made sure everything was fully set up and working correctly before leaving. They also took the time to explain the system and answer any questions, which was greatly appreciated.

I also purchased the maintenance plan, which gives additional peace of mind knowing that the system will continue to be looked after properly. The plan was explained clearly, with no hidden surprises, and I felt it offered very good value considering the support and ongoing reassurance it provides.

Took out a maintenance plan with LR in 2025 on a system supplied by another company.
My Battery failed this year and LR has installed a compleat new system and it’s up and running great.
The engineers were polite, tidy and professional and did a great job.

Complete scam artists DO NOT USE this company. Bad installation constant problems that they only want to fix by selling you something else (which is well overpriced) . Tried to say Input voltage to house was over 254 volts but got another independant electrician who said it was fine and at 240. Yet another scam they tried to pull. STAY WELL CLEAR.

Tried to cancel both contract for battery storage and maintenance, but was told that they would be able to install across a 3 phase system. The system was installed 1 week later and did not work. A second visit got the system working, but not proved. I was not happy with the Maintenance plan and cancelled within the cooling off period. Still waiting for my refund.
I have not had any response to my queries or requests for an EIA and other supporting documents. Not happy with the quality of the installation work. With concerns over H&S issues not being addressed.
Update: I paid for an Independent assessment. Confirmed my worst fears. No backup & unsafe.

following my last review i am pleased to say the system is up and running perfectly lr apoliges for not getting in touch to phone line technical problems, had to replace inverter,guys very frendly and helpful. highly recomend lr.

Provided a scaffold for this company in December. Been ignored ever since with regards to payment. Will now have to seek legal action.

Purchased my battery storage from this company, after the solar installation, service exceptional. After 3 years they still answer questions and go out of their way to help. Definitely money well spent

They have installed a second battery for us and have always been responsive and helpful, even two years later! Can't ask for more than that. People are sometimes very quick to leave a negative review but not so quick to leave a good one. So thanks LR renewable, for your help today and for the last two years.

After a cold call from L&R , I explained that i had an issue with one of the solar panel strings as it was producing output lower than it should be and the fault needed to be pin pointed as to the cause.
I was led to believe this would be the case when the engineer(who was I believe a Salesman)? paid me a visit on Friday 22 August. He did look at the inverter and agreed the output was down. After this he wanted to sell me a set of optimizers at £3000 (this price was agreed before we moved onto the battery) and a battery at £4000. He then offer to reduce the price by £1000 if I had both but I had to sign the contract there and then. I said to him that I thought I was at a timeshare sales push. Any way I told him I needed some time to think about it and would call him tomorrow afternoon,
He called me and asked what I had decided, my answer was simple I said I would take the opimizer deal at £3000. He then said no the optimizer deal was £4000. I told him that was not what we agreed and my wife confirmed this.
So at this point in time I was very dismayed at this point that he just changed the agreement so I said thanks but no thanks as this was not what we agreed. So just be careful, I now wish I had recorded the deal!

LR Renewables seemed like a respectable company to deal with, and I was happy with the initial installation. Since, I have had many problems with the batteries, internet connection and remote monitoring. LR proved very difficult to deal with, them ignoring phone calls and emails. We found some of the engineers rude and incompetent, and only interested in selling maintenance contracts. After many months of lost renewable energy and no compensation, the system has finally been rectified but we have lost all confidence in the company.
