We purchased a MedicAir Pro Mini for around £549. It was bought for a specific project and, as a result, has had remarkably little use throughout its life. The unit was only ever used as intended and for a relatively short period (literally no more than 2-3 weeks of not continuous use). In 2025 when we thought we could utilise it again for another project it stopped working, we couldn't even turn it on at this point. This was shortly after its third year anniversary and it stopped completely without any reasonable sign or warning. To put the level of use into perspective, the machine still looks virtually brand new. The filter looks unused, no sign of dust or debris. This is not a machine that has been running day after day continuously for years or subjected to heavy wear and tear. It has spent most of its life in storage besides that max 3 weeks of light use.
We contacted MedicAir for assistance, but as the two year warranty had expired, a replacement product was completely out of question. They suggested buying a replacement power cable which we did purchase but nothing. No signs of life whatsoever.
The intention here isn't to criticise customer service or the length of warranty however we do feel prospective buyers should be aware that their significant investment may only be worth it for the life of the warranty. When the machine was working it performed well, the problem is its reliability. If you're lucky you can have a good experience with it, however if you're unlucky like us, and end up with a clearly faulty piece you could find yourself left with an expensive piece of equipment that is effectively worthless and useless.
Based on our experience, spending almost £600 for less than three years of ownership from a lightly/barely used machine represents very poor value.

These are the best air purifiers ever. They help me survive in mouldy conditions at home and make the air feel and smell so much cleaner. The medicair mini is really powerful and honestly I cannot live without it. I wouold recommend to anyone with MCAS or any allergies as it is so uch better than any other air purifier I have tried (a lot!). Additionally, Steve has been the loveliest supportive person to me whilst I am going through this and he has never hesitated to help me with whatever I need, even when it is urgent. This is an amazing company run by genuine caring people and I wish every doctors surgery and waiting room and shop had their air purifiers! I have been using these air purifiers for 2.5 years now and I will never regret it.

In summary, this air purifier (mini) gets a couple of the most important things right: 1) a real HEPA14 filter, as far as I can tell; 2) quiet operation suitable for overnight use in the bedroom.

However, where two stars become deductible is due to the following:

1) a general feeling of cheapness in the overall construction of the unit - cheap plastic everywhere, even the basic electronic sounds it produces with every tap sound cheap and distorted;

2) the accompanying app has not been updated for over one year since I have owned the unit. It is poorly designed. In reality I only ever use it to turn the unit on/off when I’m already in bed.

3) the unit makes a weird noise when turned off. This can only be heard when placing your ear very closely to the unit while in a quiet room. Therefore, it does not bother anyone, nor does it seem to have an adverse effect on the operation of the unit. Just thought you should know.

3) For all the above reasons, the unit loses in overall value for money due to its price point.

And a kind request: Please update the app to allow Sleep Mode (no lights) to be used in Speed 2 (not just Speed 1, which is too low). Also, please allow a fan setting between 1 and 2, that wohld really help.

All this said, the unit is good enough and I hope it will stand the test of time. It’s too early to say at this point.

NB: Before this unit, I owned a Mila unit (brand from Hong Kong). It was not as expensive, with a fantastic app and more compact design. However, when the electronic controller of the unit suddenly died, days after expiry of the warranty, the company abandoned me and their product. That’s what led me to try Medicair. Hope I made the right decision.

I want to thank Medic Air and in particular Steve Dannatt for the incredible support, wisdom and patience they have shown my family and I.
Due to my sons health we decided to try using one of the Medic Air units. Steve explained everything in important detail to me-he answered my many questions kindly and clearly. He organised increddibly fast delivery because of my sons increasing asthma symptoms.
After weeks of my son coughing- the first night we used the air purifier he slept though without coughing. Of course its not a miracle cure and we know that. But whats been fascinating and incredibly supportive is that the machine has alerted us to bigger issues- the readings have been high for us and we have been able to work out which rooms are worse the others.
With use (when machine is on) the rooms feel so different- the air feels lighter and cleaner. Its so obvious ad my sons symptoms less. And we can see that with it on it is much safer for my son.
But I particulaly want to say thank you to Steve who has been on the other end of the phone any time we have needed advice and going way beyond to support us in trying to make our house environment safer for my son.

Completely worth the money and i want more!

I bought this just before Easter I was suffering with breathing problems due to the smoke and acrid smell from the kitchen below my bedroom. I know it’s working because to test it out to demonstrate its ability ilit a bonfire under my window smoke came in making the device go on full alter by showing the red sensor bar I shut the window and put it on full blast and within around 20 minutes the smoke smell had gone and device returned back to green indicating clear air again. I know it’s considered but you can’t put a price on your health also my sinuses have cleared I received excellent help from Steve in sales he was very helpful and knowledgeable would highly recommend this firm Dianex

I looked at several purifiers and rejected ones that had costly replacement filters (over £100) I specifically asked if they would be increasing the price of the subscription service which was £65 every 9 months which I planned to start after about a year when filter light came on to replace. I was told the following- I can guarantee availability for years to come as we have only just released the latest version.
Price wise I cannot guarantee this as it depends on the price to make them. The subscription
price has not changed in several years and there is currently no need to increase the price.
With this information I was under the impression it would be a few years til an increase so 1 year later I look to start the subscription only to find it has increased by £44 and now costs £109!!! Apparently this increased just a couple of weeks ago on the 1st March 2026! No email or message to warn us despite having our email and phone numbers. When I expressed disappointment I was told 'sorry you feel that way etc. I replied that a warning email of the huge price increase would of been appreciated but was ignored after that. Very disappointed and wish I hadn't bought the machine!
Its hard to tell if it makes any difference using it and it is extremely loud! Unsure why it states 'whisper quiet'!

Medicair was recommended to me by a friend who raved about them to assist with allergies. And boy was she right! Since receiving my Medicaid minipro, my son's symptoms for chronic and debilitating allergies have been significantly reduced and I put it all down to this air filter. It has really been a God send and the subscription for filters is a really easy option. Finally the kind and patient support received when I did not read the instructions about a reset after filter change was exceptional. I would highly recommend the unit and this company. Very impressive.

With my new air filter from MedicAir it is continuing to supply clean fresh air .

I own/use 2x Medicair Mini’s in my home and have filtered replaced on a subscription. As an immunocompromised person whose small grandchildren are often in situ due to family circumstances, these hospital grade air cleaning systems are essentially an essential acting as a form of self care & self preservation the UV and PM.2 filtration protecting me from the endless viruses they relentlessly bring into my former safe space (eg my home! ) from which I cannot protect myself . These work away quietly in the background monitoring the air quality and are very sensitive in moments picking up the slightest change or presence of contaminants- even a scented candle, or after I’ve spayed the shower cubicle in another room!

Was it serendipity, or was it my visit to the local A&E that began my relationship with MedicAir? I’ve used air purifiers for many years, and the technology has advanced greatly since my first one.

Because I have chemical sensitivities and allergies, I decided to try the MedicAir Pro-Mini. After getting through my first season of agrochemical spraying in the area, I noticed a definite improvement — enough to convince me to buy a second unit.

Later, after another trip to A&E, I caught a bout of COVID-19. Thanks to the purifier’s filtration and UVC system, no one else in my household became ill.

Most recently, I’ve added a third unit to the collection — a decision that truly speaks for itself.

I have a mould issue in my house which I can’t afford to resolve straight away so I’ve made safe areas which these machines are a cost effective way of managing. I have two machines and I’m now recovering after 6 months of breathing issues, it can’t be proved and doesn’t cure the problem but now I’m able to remove the mould using proper PPE in a cost effective way.

I can never fault Medicair, our delivery went missing & Steve done his upmost to send a replacement & kept me updated. Excellent customer service.
