Poor customer service
My chicken burger was vile had one bite went in bin thinnest brownies chicken ever seen covered in a horrible burger sauce the burger was also really spicy which it didn't say in the menu
Daughter had hot wings which had been cooked in cooking oils that had cooked fish in horrible
Chips were ok fish burger seemed mushed up piece put together
the donor bun old tough dry meat only saving grace was sons fish strips were edible avoid don't waste your money and time

I visited Mother Hubbard’s on City Road and was very disappointed with the customer service. The staff were rude, unwelcoming, and seemed uninterested in helping customers. On top of that, the service was extremely slow, which made the whole experience frustrating.

The food itself was actually good, which makes the poor service even more disappointing. A restaurant can have great food, but if customers feel unwelcome or are treated poorly, they won’t want to come back.

I think Mother Hubbard’s needs to seriously improve its customer service. If things don’t change, they risk losing customers because the way people are treated is just as important as the food. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the customer service was awful.

An absolutely terrible experience at Mother Hubbards Hemel Hempstead, I had a takeaway for the family. Let's say it was a waste of money the food was burnt, fish was dry and we had to throw it away. I then emailed Mother Hubbards and its been a week an no acknowledgment of my email or a reply. If you want good food that's edible avoid this place.

The fish and chips were amazing..beautiful fish... but your scallops are dreadful...talk about paper thin... im from the Midlands where proper scallops come from ...these well.....

I attended the restaurant with a disabled person in a wheel chair. The staff member was busy eating in the kitchen area. On placing my order the staff member did not promote the lunch time menu for the disabled person as he is not capable of eating by himself and has to be fed. We were debating what to buy for him as an easy option to eat. Eventually we ordered a Fish Burger with chips. We were charged separately for both items full price. I then noticed the lunch time special, exactly the same meal at a much reduced price. No customer service. Staff need some training in promoting lunch time specials for repeat customers.
A bad lunch time experience.

Very disappointing takeaway experience. I ordered fish & chips but was served haddock instead of cod. The fish itself was smelly and severely under cooked. The batter fell completely off during my 10-minute drive home, and the chips were of poor quality. Overall, a massive letdown—I definitely will not be returning.

Mother Hubbards dundee. Excellent crispy fish and good chips and you cans eat in , in their dining room. Even better of they sold black pudding too as this is Scotland.

Just had mother Hubbard food in Coventry it was like the chips were 6 days old. Honestly do people think we have money to waste. You pay so much and at least foid should be fresh.

I have used Mother Hubbard's in Baildon weekly for the past couple of years. I have put up with the soggy chips because of the quality of the fish.

Last week I found the price had gone up by nearly a pound for the second time this year. It just is not worth it. I can get better fish and chips at the pub down the road for less.

I will not be returning.

Can only comment on our local one which is Burton-On-Trent. Used them 4 times I think. If I was a bit more flush I'd definitely use them a lot more though.
I personally love the munchbox for the variety you get in the box & very good portion.
We have had the XXXL fish & chips & it fed 4 of us & most recently the mini fish & chips offer. Always been really nice. Fresh fish & batter. Chips are excellent.
Not eaten in yet, but I imagine if the deliveries are good, it's even better fresh out the fryer.

Came for the spicy fish, but it was completely bland , the batter looked fiery but had zero kick. Paid £12.99 for the fish and another £2.95 for chips, which is ridiculously overpriced for such average food. Taste doesn’t match the price, and I won’t be coming back.

I would just like to praise a young lad who assisted us at Mother Hubbard's. The shop was extremely busy and full, yet this young man showed great leadership skills by remaining calm and dealing professionally with some angry and impatient customers. As a business owner myself, it was impressive to watch him take charge and assist customers, turning what could have been a negative experience into a positive one through his efficiency and composure.
Well done lad, you have a bright future ahead of you. Sorry I did not get you name.

Wakefield branch. Absolutely disgusting food. It looked like fish and chips but tasted awful. Do not recommend. Go to a proper fish and chips shop instead.

Had a Fish and Chip meal with Curry sauce and a Tea at the Huddersfield branch. Freshly cooked fish. Great meal and would recommend this branch all day long. Friendly Staff and quick Table Service.

Stone cold food. Chips arrived at 22 degrees, fish at 42 degrees. Absolutely vile.

First and probably last visit to mother Hubbards Bury. The staff were disinterested. Ordering via machine was confusing. The food was average. The seating area was very cold, when I asked why it was so cold the answer was the heating was switched off as people left the door open! Cold seating area equals cold food. Won’t be back.

The fish was lovely the batter was again lovely but the oil it was cooked in was revolting. It left a terrible taste in your mouth. What a shame if they could use a better oil it would have been great.
