It appears that many of their solicitors are trainees with very little prior experience. Unfortunately, I think I was unlucky enough to be assigned to the slowest trainee solicitor.Expect slow responses and be prepared to chase them repeatedly for even the simplest matters. Despite providing all the necessary information at the outset, I was repeatedly asked for the same details throughout the process.You would expect your solicitor to guide, advise, and keep you informed at every stage, but I had to contact her several times just to obtain updates on the status of my case. At one point, she was required to obtain urgent information from the factor, but after sending a single email, no follow-up was carried out.
I was also surprised by additional charges that appeared on the final bill after the sale was completed. These charges were significantly higher than the original quotation. I raised concerns and requested a detailed breakdown of the fees, but I never received a response.On the settlement date, I was only informed at the last minute where the keys needed to be handed over. As a result, I had to leave work during office hours to deliver them. Had I been informed earlier, I could easily have dropped them off on my way to work.After experiencing numerous issues throughout the transaction, I escalated my concerns to the manager. Unfortunately, he appeared to have little understanding of the situation and did not take the level of ownership or action that I would expect from someone in a managerial position.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-up, unexpected charges, and inadequate handling of complaints made the entire experience far more stressful than it needed to be.

The horrible experience with this company when buying our first home.
We moved into the property and found traces of mould behind the wallpaper, which eventually led to the discovery of rotten floor panels in the bathroom. We notified our solicitor straight away, sent the relevant pictures, and asked for advice, but received very little assistance. The communication was poor, and their responses lacked any interest or care.
I understand there was not much that could be done about the issue, but their 'sorry, you're on your own' attitude, especially during such a stressful time, was appalling. Shame on you, Mov8.

Have only rated 1 because I could go no lower. Shocked (but not surprised) at the carefully chosen reviews which are published. We used Mov8 to buy and sell. Very poor communication from start to finish with various members of staff throughout the process which was quite confusing, including an 'executive' member of staff who abandoned a phone call mid conversation with us on the day before our move, while we were loading boxes into a van, due to HER OWN stress levels (even though we were calm) to tell us that the move was impossible on the due date and that it would only be a possibility the following week. That was 9 months ago and we're still waiting for her to call back with either explanation or apology. We also had to chase our equity. But worst of all was the complete refusal by anyone at senior level to take accountability for anything. On written complaint we were asked to give them a month to consider our case but we had to send a reminder on the deadline date at which point a very generic response was sent to us at around 6pm; assumably just to ensure they'd made some form of basic contact on that date. Our move did in fact go ahead on the due date but that was thanks to the help of an external source. The only time we had any good communication was when they emailed their invoice to us en route to our new home at around 5.30pm, after an extremely stressful day, before we had even picked up the key. Absolutely no accountability by anyone at senior level; in fact stubborn refusal to admit any wrong doing and a distinct tone of arrogance rather than any offer of apology. At one point we were told that if it hadn't been for them 'pulling out all the stops' we would not have been in our new home, when in fact the only person who pulled out any stops was the external source who offered a completely opposite first class customer service. Would seriously recommend you go elsewhere if you want more than your money to matter to them.
