MT13 Bewertungen 

We have used MT13 lots for 2 day camps and now more recently Project MT13 as my child is at county level and wants to develop their skills further. My feeling is that the staff are great, and the sessions are organised and punctual. My question mark (and we are only about 1/2 way through the term, so I am conscious I may be jumping the gun) is does it deliver what it sets out to? Is it value for money or a bit of a money-making machine as lots of kids do it for not a huge amount of individual input?

To provide construction feedback, I've provided comments in line with what MT13 website states the project will provide as follows:

- Become empowered with the qualities to be effective in your playing position in our specific line training groups (Defenders, Midfielders, Forwards) .
FEEDBACK: Unsure of specific line training groups - they all seem to do the same thing?

- Regular feedback for development areas and goal setting:
FEEDBACK: I am not aware any of this has been received. Having watched my child consistently miss reverse hits (for example), no-one has taken them to one side to help them understand what they need to change or do differently. The instructors seem to demo what to do and mostly let them get on with it.

-Learn from video analysis and feedback during training sessions:
FEEDBACK: None of this has been done so far from my observations (4 weeks in).

-An MT13 coach will guide and advise on your progress throughout the term:
FEEDBACK: No advice on progress has been received 4 weeks in.

-Individual video analysis – using slow motion and diagram analysis in executing a particular skill
FEEDBACK: We have only received one very small piece of 'video analysis' - it was tiny clips with little bits of info. Found this a bit disappointing.

-Technical assessment – using the latest speed tests designed by Matt - don't even know what this is!

I hope this gives a fair overview of our observations so far. I can see that the repetition of technical skills is beneficial, however, I'd expected more for the amount being charged. Much of the training is what you could reasonably expect from a decent hockey club for much less cost. My child loves hockey and I am sure would want to continue, however, we will see what the rest of the term brings first.

A positive experience. The groups are age rather than skills based. The camp is too short to readjust the groups and this gives a mixed experience to young advanced players.

The MT13 2 day camp at Ratcliffe College exceeded expectations! The welcome on day 1 was fantastic, lots of coaches about for questions, upbeat music on, the playing field all set up and ready plus a space to have a knock about while waiting. My son thoroughly enjoyed it and we would definitely book again. The communication was outstanding and I couldn’t be more impressed.

Good organisation.
An opportunity to play with people who enjoy hockey outside of a school situation.
Enjoyed meeting new people.
Cheerful coaches and long enough sessions to improve the skills we were taught.
Value for money.

A fantastically run camp with wonderful coaches who inspire and encourage. My daughter enjoyed every day and learned so much! She can’t wait for the next one!

Very happy. Done 3 sessions now and the level of expertise and attention to the smallest details is just not available elsewhere. Highly recommended.

The kids love this club. Always lots of game play and the coaches have a great rapport with the kids.

The 1-1 sessions were great .repetition helped to improve the technique . Need to ensure Matt sends the video analysis Without being reminded and also if the player would like it work on sth specifics, have the chance to do it .

Both my children have attended separate day camps ( age relevant) they have thoroughly enjoyed them. Action packed all day with enthusiastic coaches. There skills have come on tremendously and there confidence to interact on and off the field with other players is fantastic.
Looking forward to the summer residentials!

My daughter was quite apprehensive about the three day elite course, not knowing anyone else, whether it might be too serious and not fun. But hey presto three days later, although very tired (in a good way!) She had not only learnt many new skills her confidence and love for the game had been reaffirmed. No question the best hockey camps we've done. First of all, fun, but great for technqiue. We will 1000% be back.

The coaches and camps are fantastic and really friendly. At the camps I really learn a lot but still have a lot of fun at the same time.
