Canterbury of New Zealand was established back in 1904 when John Lane, Pringle Walker and Alfred Rudkin began producing woollen garments deep in the Canterbury Province of New Zealand. Before long, they were making uniforms for the army during the First World War, and they earned themselves a reputation for manufacturing tough, durable kit. So much so, the legendary All Blacks rugby team approached them to produce rugby attire in which they could play.

The rest as they say is history; Canterbury of New Zealand outfitted the All Blacks team for over 75 years and is now the largest dedicated rugby brand in the world. Canterbury currently supplies kit to numerous high-profile national rugby teams; England Rugby and Ireland Rugby, as well as leading clubs such as Bath and Ospreys.

The brand has its roots firmly in the southern hemisphere with its spiritual home in New Zealand. The Kiwi heritage strongly influences both the design of Canterbury product and the ethos of the company.

I expect better service from a NZ brand

Ordered wrong size in the stadium trackies (they seem to run exceptionally large). Instead of being able to just exchange the item for the right size, they force you to return the item get a refund then buy the same item again. Inefficient and promotes a SHEIN-type consumption model where people buy multiple of the same item in different sizes then just send back the ones that don’t fit for a refund. Really disappointing experience. Needless to say I didn’t re-buy the same pair of pants, I’ll find my trackies elsewhere.

Ease of purchase and sale dissapointing delivery

Ease of purchase and sale. What let the experience down was delivery. Paid extra for express delivery ordered before 12 for same day send off and did not recieve boots til a week later. Was disappointed as boots were required for trainings and game and had to miss out due to courier let down

Quality at a great price.

I do not have the items yet as it was delivered in New Zealand but Canterbury brand has never disappointed me with quality and style.

The product (medium classic backpack)…

The product (medium classic backpack) was still sold by you guys which was really good. I'd had my old identical one for many years, using it to and from work. It wore very well, had great strong stitching etc at the carrying loop and at the top of the straps. I only had to replace it because the lining was finally disintegrating.

Ordered a pair of boots and the order…

Ordered a pair of boots and the order was cancelled. Called as they had not turned up and was told that the order was cancelled by me. It wasn't. Then was told it was actually the warehouse as they could not find any the correct size but that there was 11 pairs so the best thing was to reorder them. I did and the same thing happened. Same excuse. was told that they would update the website, a week later they still haven't. very disappointed
