I am so disappointed with this company... I have never struggled this much to get in contact with someone! It has been almost 3 months with our website and let me tell you something, nothing has improved. They promote 24/7 design consulting, well guess what terrible communication, constant excuses, no updates. This company stressed me out everyday, I cannot even express how many times I had to call and email just to get an answer and guess what... STILL NOTHING. The website looks like a mess, when i tell you it looks like someone came and just threw anything on well this is exactly what they did to the site. 3 months has gone to waste.

Teresa over at Olivelogo was very easy to work with and took care of our logo needs. We are very satisified and can't wait to work with Olivelogo again!

I cannot fathom how this company has such a good rating. I chose them over other similar companies because of the reviews - and have regretted it almost ever since. I am highly dissatisfied with the logo and frustrated with the service. The only way I could recommend this service would be if the customer had absolutely zero graphic editing experience, only needed the most basic logo, would be happy to accept the initial design without revisions, and don't care about possible copyright infringement.

Olive only took 24 hours to send the initial concepts. But I had to request the same revisions multiple times to correct the sizing of the words, a misunderstanding over the color, and a typo that resulted - I suspect - from filtering my instructions through Google Translate. I asked if they could do color effects. Instead of responding, they sent a new revision with every letter a different color while completely ignoring the typo and font sizes. Only two revisions in and I was frustrated.

Branding is too important to have a language barrier. If that wasn't the issue, why ignore my other requests? This is especially disconcerting since the smaller packages have revision limits and charge more for them. Fortunately, I bought the $119 package with unlimited revisions. Unfortunately, it wasted my time and I started stressing over my deadline. I had only allotted three weeks for the logo, which I thought was a generous number - especially with the quick initial response.

The process ended up taking 6 revisions. It would have been 2 if I didn't have to repeat my requests. It also took 15 days. That would have been acceptable if I had ended up with a usable logo. Now, this next part is my mistake; I accept that. Until after I told them to finalize it, I had been communicating with them using my phone. Which meant I kept checking the logo files on my phone. Big mistake. When I received the converted files, I opened them on my computer. Frustration quickly became disbelief and rage. Oh, it scales up without losing resolution, as expected. What I didn't expect, what I couldn't fathom, was why it looked like a toddler's coloring book - the way they scribble over the pictures. There was coloring outside of the lines, there was lack of coloring inside the lines - and I missed it because I was using a stupid phone screen where it was very small and therefore very subtle. Opening it on the computer and zooming in to see it as it would appear on my banners - that was the last straw for me. Using that logo would be an embarrassment. Maybe it would be acceptable if I were opening a pre-school. It certainly wasn't what I expected from a 'professional graphics designer' even one who's first language wasn't English.

Rather than bothering to respond - for one I wanted to calm down, and two I was out of time and patients with Olive - I began searching the internet for how to convert GIMP files into vector files. I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble if I had realized how easy it is from the beginning. But I assumed that someone who does graphic design for a living would have better ideas and be able to do a better job than me. I've only dabbled with PNG and GIMP software, so I knew it would take too long to design it myself.

While searching for royalty free images I found one of the very initial concepts that Olive sent me - on one of those "insert your company name here" advertisements. It was not an Olive Logo ad. Suddenly I understood why they were unable to do the things I'd asked for. Things that will be time consuming for me but would be no problem for a real graphic designer. It's because they are not graphic designers. They are the new breed of scammers. They take concepts they find online and pass them off as their own. Perhaps, if the edit is simple enough, they can manage it and have happy customers. But anyone with any experience in graphic design or editing should stay far away from this company.

The next day I contacted Olive Logo with my complaints before writing this review. I knew I wouldn't get it, but I was hoping for a partial refund. I didn't expect a full one. They did deliver a logo in the file types they promised. But since I have to question the legality of it, I can't use it even if I was willing to. It makes me wonder whether I would have gotten sued over it eventually. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise. I knew that scammers were getting more and more clever, but this is a new one. I marvel at all the good reviews and wonder if they made them up, or if they are somehow deleting the bad ones. I will find out eventually when I check back.

So I've lost $119 because I received files, however useless. I've lost the time I thought I saved by hiring someone else. I have less than a week to order my custom logo supplies so that they will arrive in time to decorate my store before my grand opening. And because I don't have time - or the equipment - to design something from scratch, I've lost the money I have to pay for the licensing of new graphics. I'm only using up valuable time writing this review in hopes of saving someone else from Olive Logo.

So good luck. Beware. I have work to do.
