Terrible experience, unfortunately nowadays many companies use these "intelligent services" that are unable to recognize a valid document. Took a scan of a document together and front was ok but back not, how can it be?? A waste of time!
Company should stop using these kind of "services". Also who know what these 3rd party services do with our IDs....

De ID solutions van onfido zijn enorm onbetrouwbaar op functioneel gebied. De ene keer wordt de camera geopend de andere keer een onscherpe camera met ID omtrek op de site zelf. Tot op heden niet gelukt om de bestelling te plaatsen.

Tried to use this to open a banking account which required verification. First part okay, but not easy first time, then last part doesn't work. No explanantion, no alternative. Gave up, and just hope my information is kept safe. Won't work with any business using it in future.

I'm trying to verify my binance account for two days now. The camera gets really bad when Onfido starts. It would be much easier if I could just upload a photo or, at least, if I could be able to take a photo with the normal quality of my camera with onfido.

You did a softcheck on clearscore of my identity and it was used for a scam on me. Both your phone numbers are dead. Are you a bogus scam company?

Terrible service, I have to say race biased levels of criteria as I’ve contacted a few friends and my wife included and all of them being white didn’t went to the humiliating process of multiple pictures holding up proof of address and changing angles etc. and it’s 2023, very few people and companies use paper mail. Time to evolve so called tech financial company. Terrible.

Ook problemen met (her)identificatie van leaseplan bank. Foto gemaakt, upload, verstuurd ,ID controle, dan altijd foutmelding 'je identiteitbewijs is niet geaccepteerd', no matter paspoort or ID(verblijfvergunning).

Ten einde, ik contact de klantenservies via whatsapp, wachte beetje geduldig, dan wordt mijn fotos handmatig goedgekeurd.

website app don't work, could not sign up to bank account due to Onfido terrible system. Unable to take picture stating "camera access is denied" yet the Onfido system does not ask for permission - useless system.

Their service is unusable and a conversion killer. Please, switch to their alternatives.

Their app gets focus of the camera on my Pixel 6 Pro once to loose it later 100% of the time when making the photo. This service is not production ready

Totally stupid process these buffoons use to supposedly verify one's identity. Full of nonsense about not using scanned images and PDF format files, an absurd obsession with use of a mobile 'phone as if that proves anything and utterly incapable of actually evaluating uploaded images. Rubbish masquerading as a service.

Na zeer lang aarzelen is het me toch gelukt om voor Lease Plan Bank mijn paspoortgegevens plus foto, en tevens van mijn echtgenoot, over te zenden.
Ettelijke maanden daarmee gewacht, omdat ik het systeem niet helemaal vertrouwde. Na wéér een mail van de bank, en contact met de bank zelf, toch maar geprobeerd. Kwestie van geduld en goed lezen, hoe dit te doen.

I thought that I has successfully provided the identity information required by Onfido, but 2 months later Barclays (who use Onfido) contacted in with a truculent and threatening email to say as I had failed to provide information (unspecified) my account would be further restricted. I was unaware that my account had already been restricted - no warning from Barclays. On phoning and waiting over 20 minutes to speak to a human, I was told that the photo I had uploaded to Onfido was not sufficiently current and was therefore unacceptable. I had accessed Onfido from a desktop computer that does not have a camera so had uploaded a fairly recent photo - I was told by the Barclays helpdesk that I should use a mobile phone to take a photo when using the Onfido application. The email from Onfido suggests that you do use a "computer or tablet for this" and there is no warning if you do upload a photo that it is not sufficiently current that it will not be accepted nor any information on how recent uploaded photos must be to satisfy the checking process. It's pretty poor software and its disappointing that companies needing identity checks are using Onfido.

Utterly appalling software. I am an engineer and expert user but could not get passed their system. For example I tried to get a link on my smart phone, and received the following notification ‘ Something went wrong. This link only works on mobile devices’!!!.

Ik heb 3 verschillende computers gebruikt en twee verschillende mobiele telefoons. Ik denk dat het veilig is om te zeggen dat de fout in zijn geheel niet bij mij ligt...

Update: Ik probeerde de stappen met Firefox, maar toen ik het als laatste wanhoopspoging met Chrome probeerde, werkte het alsnog...

West One Loans use this dreadful biometric verification to onboard applicants. Our verification failed with no notification and we did everything correctly. Why on Earth do companies use them? It's a deal killer.

Zodra Onfido mijn paspoortfoto's in zijn bezit heeft meldt het dat er iets mis is gegaan en houdt alles op.

Ook ik kon geen identificatiefilmpje opnemen (stress!). Dat bleek aan de toegang tot mijn microfoon te liggen: ga naar de Instellingen op je telefoon, Privacy, Machtigingbeheer, Microfoon en geef je internetverbinding (bij mij: Samsung Internet) toegang tot je microfoon. Je kunt aanvinken: "Altijd vragen". Hetzelfde geldt voor de toegang tot je camera. Succes.
