Unsolicited emails regarding wrong information
This company keeps sending me unsolicited emails telling me to file company information for a company I have never heard of and have no connection with. I double checked with Companies House that I have no association with the company they name. Onlinefilings has no authority to email me and their information is wrong.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand that receiving a message about a company you do not recognise, particularly where you believe you have no connection with it, would understandably raise concerns about why you were contacted.
Online Filings is a private company, independent of Companies House and HMRC. Our communications carry our own company name, logo and contact details. We are registered with Companies House as an Authorised Filing Software Provider and an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), and we are supervised by HMRC for anti-money laundering compliance. Where information in a communication appears to be incorrect, we are happy to look into this and help clarify the reason for the contact.
For clarity, our services are separate from the government filing services. Any fee charged by Online Filings is in addition to the applicable Companies House or HMRC fee and covers access to our simplified filing platform and personalised support. Our pricing is displayed on our website before checkout, so customers can decide whether they wish to use our service or file directly with the relevant government department.
We also appreciate your concern about receiving information relating to a company you do not recognise. We only contact individuals where there is a clear reason to do so. In this case, the email address used to contact you had previously been provided through our platform in connection with services relating to the company referenced in the communication.
If you ever need to complete a company filing yourself, you can of course do so directly through Companies House. If you would like to see how our service works, we would be happy for you to try the platform and judge the service on that basis. For any questions about the communication you received, please contact support@onlinefilings.co.uk and our team will be happy to assist.

This company impersonates and looks like Company House and will charge you extra for filing! They sent a letter copying style and language of HMRC/Company House and fool you by thinking you have to use their services instead of doing it yourself!

The letter you received was sent by Online Filings and included our company logo, company information, contact details and a disclaimer identifying the communication as being from us.
Online Filings is a private technology company that provides filing services and is registered with Companies House as an Authorised Filing Software Provider and Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP). We are also supervised by HMRC for anti-money laundering compliance. Customers can also choose to complete their filings directly with Companies House if they prefer to do so.
Following the letter, an order was placed through our platform. The filing itself was not submitted because the required identity verification process was not completed. The requirement to complete identity verification is explained on our website before checkout, so customers have the relevant information available before deciding whether to proceed with our service.
You subsequently contacted us to request a refund, and we provided a partial refund in response to your request.
We appreciate your feedback and will take it on board as we continue to review how we communicate our services and make the distinction as clear as possible.
