Worst company I’ve ever used!
I have 5 animals. 2 of which are BIG DOGS. Told these people we have pets. They said everything they use is pet friendly.! Well that was a lie. I had to take both of my cats to the vet for their “pet friendly” chemicals they use. My cats have chemical burns on their paws, faces and mouths. They never told us that we needed to do something differently with our animals. So now after paying them $175 to do my house I have over $200 in vet bills for my cats and then they wanna send me a bill for the $175 service I have already paid for! 🤬
Was the first & the last time I will have used this company for a damn thing. Worst experience of my life. And I’ve used exterminators before but unfortunately our local was unavailable.
& to top it off I still have ANTS. The reason I had them come in the first place! 😡😡
Horrible Experience
Well Where do I start ? I live in the Sacramento,CA and I was being serviced by the Orkin 4092 Metro Drive Suite 100 Stockton,Ca office. I own several rental properties and one of my tenants reported mice in the garage area which can happen as things start to cool down an rodents seek warmth, the first thing that I noticed is that they were keeping garbage cans in the garage,so I had them remove the garbage and store them outside moving forward. Then I called Orkin (big mistake) The initial fee for consultation was $233.00 and then they said that I would pay for each service of $88.00 ( charge your credit card monthly whether they do a monthly visit or not) they also require a credit card on file.. I was informed that they would call me to schedule the first service. Well I received notification the evening of the night before and I was out of town so I called them to have the service rescheduled and I also asked them to call me to notify me by phone a minimum of 3 days in advance not by email as we all get so much junk email these days it's difficult to determine what's junk and what's not. They show-up on the 16th for the initial service, fine. After that I receive another email two months later telling me that I'm scheduled for a service the next day, I'm not available . I called my tenant and she is not available. I called Orkin to reschedule again and reiterate my request and contact preference. Two days later I receive another email notification and they had rescheduled the rescheduled appointment essentially for their convenience . Finally I get that service completed. I called to cancel all services moving forward, Orkin response: "oh you signed a contract with us you must give us 30 days notice and we have already billed your credit card for next months service" So now it's not okay to provide 24 hour notification. Wow ! are you kidding me. I say okay forget about next months service I don't want any services at all keep the payment. Orkin response : "That would be unethical we have to do the service". ETHICAL !
sounds like someone made a mistake by billing so far in advance. Final service was rendered , and my security camera did not show the the services that they claim were provided. Bottom line; Very poor customer service, unable to accommodate my communication preference, substandard technical service, wasted my time and money, does not value customers. $600 for consultation and three home visits. They are not welcome at any of my properties. What a horrible experience !
Termite bait stations.
I have termite bait stations that were installed by a private company here in Independence Missouri. They would come once a month to check the bait stations. I pay Orkin, who bought out the company $400 a year and they only send a person to check the bait stations once a year! What a rip-off! Termites could be decimating my house in a year!

Several weeks ago I paid in full for a month of service for my rental property. 1st day their technicians go I receive a pdf stating tasks I have to complete! These are basic gap patching tasks that even an average Joe could do. I call back customer service asking whether I paid $500 for recommendations only? They told me they can't reach out to the techs but their guys will do the patches on their 2nd visit. I call 3 more times to be able to get a confirmation and all of the times the tech crew is unreachable. Today was their 2nd visit and I see that none of the repairs have been completed. I either want the tasks to be complete or refunded. Anyone with hands can patch a basic wall let alone an experienced crew who has been paid $500.
Massive disconnect between corporate…
Massive disconnect between corporate and local. 1st call to corporate(Collin), the call got dropped after discussing pricing. I called back in and got transferred to local(Zoe?) and she quoted me a higher price. Said there was nothing "in the notes" so she couldn't honor the pricing. Suggested I call back to corporate. Called back a 3rd time to corporate(Angel) and reviewed AGAIN. She quoted the lower rate and said it was for returning customers(we are) She then set up service for the following day. Technician never showed or called. I called yet again and was told someone would reach out. The local branch(Jasmine) spoke with my wife this morning and informed her they had no record of my call to setup service and again quoted the HIGHER rate. After going back and forth with her they said they'd do it but an "inspector" would have to come out first to have us sign a contract. Then they'd send a technician. I'd had enough of the run around so I cancelled. If this was any indication of how the service was going to be this year, there was no way I was giving this company my business.
Save you money, and your time, Orkin is a scam!
Orkin as a whole company should be put out of business.. Their Cherry Hill base in NJ is another in this long list of Orkins to avoid. Theyre lacking in every category; customer service is awful and when you do speak to someone they're rude like they can't be bothered! Organization - 0.. Punctuality - 0.. Effectiveness??? You guessed it, ZERO! I was told that they changed sprays since last year and thats why my service might take longer to be more effective. Bait&Switch much? Pretty sure that's illegal. The whole thing has been a headache. God forbid you get someone on the phone, or to call you back. Better hope it's not Michelle you get on the phone. She can't do anything.. that's a direct quote out of her mouth! This is in reference to issues that had arisen because she didn't put through my cancelations! I canceled my service last year and was charged again this year.. She told me I never canceled, which is a lie.. I would have gotten an email as well "there's a process" this year I DEFINITELY cancled still no email a week later!! She claims they had Gmail spelled wrong. Only after I call to confirm my cancelation for the 3rd time can she figure that out. I would leave 0 stars if possible!

The technician stole an entire bottle of my prescription pain medication. The manager seemed doubtful that it happened!!! Why would I lie about something as critical as this? Unbelievable
Poor Orkin Pest control service
Had Orkin Pest control service treat my home ( Home built in 2019 ) for termites in Florida (Orlando area). Spent thousands of dollars only to see termite infestation inside of the home in less than 7 months from treatment.
Not sure what sort of Termite treatment they used. Very disappointed with the performance.

Customer Service is not what is important to Orkin, 3yrs and they should know to call before they come, once my smart fur babies see or hear Orkin I’m not getting them in the room. My 78 yr old room mate hurt herself because the new person that came out to out Locust Grove, Georgia home, didn’t take no for an answer and did nothing but use bait, on what I do not know, all our trouble with upset dogs and he was in and out in 5 minutes and called us once he got out to the truck to cover himself. Like I said 3 yrs with them and I know Customer Satisfaction does not seem important to them.
The rude lady named CAT
I got orkin to come out and spray then I didn't see them again for 3 months and when they came back they made me Pay For the initial spray although Julio was very kind and wanted to help a lady I guess boss CAT said I was to pay the hole thing over and now she was rude towards not only to me but to her employer however Julio Apologized to me for her actions I rate Julio 10 he was awsome but CAT I rate a 0 she didn't listen and was rude Unacceptable!!
Complete waste of time and money
This was the biggest waste of money I have ever experienced. I paid $302 for a guy to put 20 cheap mouse traps in my house. They weren’t even baited. After complaining and canceling this service, they promised a refund of my money and said my account was cancelled. I still have not received a refund in two months and just received a bill for $92. I have not received any type of service to warrant paying anything….. stay far away from this company.
Horrible Service
Horrible Service. Always needing to reschedule and only come out once every 2 months. Make sure your appointments are towards the beginning of the month otherwise when they do come out and they will be out of everything to include ant spray, mouse traps, etc. Another complaint I had was there was always an excuse as to why they couldn't do something. I.E. if it rains they can't spray outside at all. Well why even come to the house then. Waste of time and money.
Orkin scams you out your money !!
Hired Orkin to get rid of fruit flies which they couldn’t actually seemed to make them worst. The salesperson promised me I will get my money back but failed to state that you have to complete a year of service to get a refund which is a complete scam! Why would I pay you every month and u can’t solve the problem! Never hire ORKIN

Charging $6500 to get rid of them. They cannot even give cost break down so you can see how much the labor is. A complete rip off. I am firing them in an hour or so.
Watch out! Shady Contracts
Watch out! Even if you tell them you only want services for 4 months, and they acknowledge it, the contract they'll give you is for a minimum of one year. When they try to charge you in month 5 and you call to cancel, their response is "well, you signed up."

Whatever you do, DO NOT GET THE GUTTER GUARDS!!!!! it's been 2 years now and we have nothing but huge icicles. I have complained, they said they will fix. Lol. Nothing. I rented a scissor lift to reattach a section of gutter. The brainiacs put in less than half of the screws that were supposed to be in. So the ice is pulling off my gutters. Complained to the manager, which is another joke. Never fixed them, never called after inspecting them. Now they are cancelled of all services. I won't tolerate stupidity and liars. :)

I use orkin about a year ago, and decided to try them again..after the technical arrived i was told something. Different. On the phone so i decided. Not to get services..with that being said no debit card wss charged 85.00 before the technician. Arrived!!!!why would you do that.. Now im getting the run around about Revising the charges back to my card..all i know if this isnt resolved by 12/9/22 i will be contacting my local news station..i promise you That!!!
Orkin does a terrible job
Orkin does a terrible job. I left my number countless times to contact me and nothing. I did not want to pay my last bill but I didn’t want it to go to collections. I have video of the 10 second spray they did in my basement after countless times they sprayed and gnats never went away for a year and I always wondered why so finally set up a camera. I have yet someone to call me back. Look elsewhere. Save your money. I had a year worth of wasted money at 139 dollars for a 10 second spray on troubled area. I hate you guys and wish you the worst. Please contact me I would like to give you my piece of mind. Wish I could share the video on here.
