LOST MY £700 BAT!
Sent off my bat to Sam for a standard repair and it never came back. 6 weeks later he's confirmed it's been lost by the courier. It get's worse, he's offered me a measly £100 compensation. £50 from the courier and £50 from him. Oh and a 20% PROMO on my next purchase. Disgraceful!
He used EVRI and has an insurance policy that covers only up to £100. He's messed up by not going for a higher insurance policy to cover the value of the goods he is shipping. And now he is not taking responsibility.
I was willing to take the hit and accept his joke of an offer if he would be willing to knock in a couple of bats for me and settle there. Instead he offers me a 20% PROMO code. You can't make this up!
I've used OX29 for 5 years and credit to him, he's good at his craft. However, anyone who has dealt with him will tell you, his level of customer service has always been questionable. Have a read of his responses to other 'bad reviews' and you will see what I mean.

I sent my favourite cricket bat to the OX29 Batdoctor with a damaged handle and split in the shoulder. I requested a new handle , refurbishment and a new grip. The process was for dropping the bat off was slick and I got my bat back in time for Saturday`s match. The bat plays now like a new bat and I am back scoring runs and confident with it`s performance. I would recommend this service to anyone that wants a bat refurbished.
Wanted to give a bat for weight reduction. Was advised to book it online. What an awful system to try and book this in! Chose the option and then had to pick bat stickers and then choose a grip plus upload a photo. I didn't need any of these but had to choose in order to progress... Anyways, went onto the payment page and there was no option for dropping off and had to choose shipping as an option, so pay for something that needed to be dropped off... messaged them and got a rude reply in response about going elsewhere... poor service and awful booking system!

Despite the packaging clearly stating "do not bend," the items arrived tightly rolled, resulting in bends and cracks. Upon contacting customer service, I spoke with Samuel, who was dismissive of the damage despite the evidence I provided. I am unwilling to apply a cracked ant-scuff to my £750 cricket bat, as this would expose the face to air and potential damage. As a long-standing customer who plays extensively (40-50 games per season), I expected a more professional and supportive approach. Instead, Samuel reacted defensively to my complaint and accused me of bullying. It is unacceptable to receive a damaged product and then be denied a replacement. I intend to share my negative experience within the cricket community to inform others about this company's unprofessional and unethical conduct.

• Bat I reviews was an absolutely plank, very poor quality with a shocking pick up
• when I returned it he moaned I been using it on a bowling machine instead of with cricket balls
• I was blamed for marks on the outside edge of the bat, that it arrived with
• I was the charged for the refurbishment!
Regret the purchase 100% he gives a bad name to small bat makers.
