This is the worst company to trust your car warranty in their room. They are not accepted by majority of mechanics. They sworn to you you with a down payment that's not refundable but when you first get on the phone they don't establish it. That is not refundable then when you ask for it, a refund or anything else to get an attitude with you. They're not customer friendly and they're not mechanic friendly. That's why they're not accepted by no one don't ever trust in them

Very bad experience. My car had an issue with the timing belt. The shop went ahead with the work (I had to have it fixed). My shop tried to work with ox but they ended up getting paid by me. I did authorize OX to charge against my credit card after it was declined on first effort- I cancelled my call and learned the next day the sale man on continued to put through the charge. I made several calls to advise I did not trust OX nor did I want a policy that could not take effect for 30 days anyway. These people can not be trusted
Ox Car Care is a Rip Off…They…
Ox Car Care is a Rip Off…They originally denied my claim and the Customer Service agent said because they don’t cover transmission issues. I highlighted to the claims agent that the policy stated that the transmission is covered. So they took 3 weeks to send out an inspector only deny the claim again stating they wasn’t obligated to honor the policy because of the modifications to the pipes on my car which has nothing to do with the transmission.

Was pressured into a discounted diamond policy less than 24 hours ago while driving and unable to read due diligence reviews. Called in today to find more information and found that motor & transmission items have $ limitation coverages which is in disagreement with sales pitch. A down payment last night they said may take up to 15 days.

This is how my second claim experience with this company and I couldn't be more disappointed with their service. My car has been in the shop for over 2 weeks and I am still waiting for the claim to be reviewed. My mechanic diagnosed the problem, an adjuster has been out to review but it I am still without a car because of their poor procedures. Client service representatives are poorly trained, unprofessional and actually rude. Customers should not have to deal with this. Stay away from this company at all cost.
Erroneous Charges to Credit Card
Ox Car care employee call to say that my card was declined, and he needed a new card. I provided him the info and at the end of the phone call he said Thank you Mrs. Davis you card has been charged $144. I told him I was not MS. Davis and he made a mistake he told me to call my bank. Contacted my bank and they said all he had to do was reverse the charge which he didn't! Now I have to wait until this charge post to my account and dispute the charge. I tried to correct Ox Car Care via the phone on today's date and I encountered the worst employee who works in billing. Refused to let me speak to a manager, very condensing and just plain rude.
He hung up on me because I wouldn't let him talk to me in a condensing tone and I refused to be pacified when he tried to tell me he couldn't solve my problem in six minutes. That is not what I requested. Requested to speak to a manager to file my complaint. Spent one hour on phone on Oct 4, 2024, trying to sort out this mess, I was placed on hold and never returned. Never again, they can have their maintenance contract, G0 figure your employee gets angry with me because another employee used my credit card to pay for another customer account.
Ox Car Care has to be the worst in Customer service in the entire country. I give them a five for having the rudest and most incompetent employees I have ever dealt with.

A number of CS poor communication issues but I cancelled due to my dismay finding out they do not honor verbal commitments to reimburse for oil change n tire rotation. I submitted my jiffy lube bill for oil n rotation of $139 ($99 +33) only to receive check for $75! They don’t tell you they have their own rates not what one actually pays. I cancelled,( a process that had me transferred a number of times n took over 2 hrs., with concern for how it would be to deal with this company on repair bills. Lastly, I have never seen a company able to operate with such terrible reviews… wish I had checked as this cost me close to $1000 before cancellation… when will I learn?
In my opinion, do not sign up with Oxcar
I signed up with Axar because I got the whole spiel on what a great company they were. I paid the $75 to start, but I had to call them back and inform them due to medical issues. I would not be able to stay with them said it was fine. On the website, it said I could just call and I could cancel which I did. Since I couldn’t drive I saw no reason to keep it. Like I said, I had medical issues and was able to do a lot of things. When I finally got on my feet again, I went over my checking statements and noticed that for the last three months I had been Charged by oxcar, I made a call after searching the Internet for ever to find a number for them. I was told I had to send an email or a written letter. I informed him that’s not what the web page said in a way I was kind of lucky because I had my caregiver and my nurse who happened to be standing by, the phone call about canceling. They gave me an email address to send the papers on my cancellation and why I haven’t been able to drive the car which I told him was none of their business why. I wrote up the email and it was sent back as undeliverable every time I send an email. It’s returned. Talk about being scammed now I have to find a different resource to try to get my refund back.
Unprofessional, lies, and run around
My car has been in the shop going on 3 weeks! I keep getting the run around from ox car care. Keep getting told that it’s in review with the manager! And they won’t even let me speak to a manager!! No one is assisting me with trying to get my car fixed!! This is ridiculous, I’m basically going to have to pay my car note for a month, when I don’t even have the car and pay ox their monthly rate, when they just letting my car sit in the shop!

This company is the absolute WORST!
1. Oil Change Reimbursement. I submitted my receipts for an oil change reimbursement on July 29, 2024 to Maintenance (as instructed). After not hearing anything from them for two weeks, I resubmitted my receipts but this time I sent to Claims and Cc'd Maintenance. I called to verify that they had received my email and it was confirmed. I was told to wait about two weeks. I waited two weeks and called to check the status. I was told that the reimbursement had been sent out and I'd be receiving it within a couple of days. About three weeks later, I hadn't received anything in the mail so I called to inquire about it and was told that the claim is still under review, nothing was sent out.
2. AC Work. I took my vehicle to the dealership because my AC wasn't working. The dealership determined that it was due to a bad compressor and some ancillary parts. Ox allegedly denied my claim because the part(s) was not covered, so I could either pay for the repair out of pocket or pay $234.00 for the diagnostic. I paid for the diagnostic. I confirmed that the compressor was in fact covered so I submitted a claim to be reimbursed for the diagnostic along with all of the paperwork and justification. Seven weeks later, it's still under review.
3. I took my vehicle to a different repair facility to get my AC work fixed. The again assessed that the compressor was bad. They submitted the claim to Ox. It took just over three weeks to get an adjuster to come out to the repair shop to look at my car, that was about two weeks ago. As of September 5th, my claim (and authorization for repair) is still under review. I truly believe that they're trying to figure out a way to deny my claims.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Apparently, their job is to take your money and not pay any claims. I took my car Into the dealership because it was due for an oil change. Comes back that my oil pan had been leaking along with some other things that need to be fixed. File a claim and an adjuster comes out to look at the vehicle. They denied the claim. I was told when I called that the gasket was not damaged. I have photos that says otherwise. I told them it has to be because I have oil leaking. I ask if I can receive a copy of the claim and denial and was informed I would receive it, however I have not received anything from them. Furthermore, I asked if I could possibly appeal it and get a second option and was rudely told it wouldn’t matter because it was denied. So now I’ve paid money for a warranty that doesn’t cover sh** that according to them covers the things that need to be fixed. They believe the word of an adjuster instead of what a licensed professional mechanic says. This company is a scam and fraudulent!!
I beg that nobody enters into contract with this company
My wife and I called Ox Car Care about a year ago (and shame on us for not reading the reviews). When we spoke to the person in the call center, we asked very specific questions as to what was covered and what was not covered under the level of coverage that we were willing to pay. We told him that we had a 2013 Toyota Prius and we wanted to know if the Hybrid Battery was covered. He told us: "YES, anything concerning the electrical system is covered and that includes the Hybrid Battery" We asked him if he was sure, and he read what he said was the contract, and we agreed with him that the Hybrid Battery was covered.
Because of the year of the car (2012) he said that the most the plan would pay is half the cost of the battery and half of the installation. We were OK with that.
To date we have supplied Ox with 2 requests. The first request was to get the battery changed and to have a few other "electrical" issues fixed. Ox denied coverage on EVERYTHING. The 2nd request was only for the Hybrid Battery, and they denied coverage AGAIN.
To date we have paid more than $2,500 for coverage that we were told we had and we have been denied. We have paid more than 1/2 the value of the battery.
Someone recently asked why anyone hasn't sued them and it's because they have a mandatory arbitration clause in their contracts. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Poor customer service/No service
This company is quick to ask you to sign up and slow to handle your claim. My current claim has been going on since June 20, 2024. I have sent 2 emails to the claims manager (because no one will talk to you on the phone). He has not responded. I ask questions on their chat and the answer is always the same "under review." I ask how long this typically takes and it's no response. They claimed to have requested history information from me but I asked if they sent the request by email and to which address because I never saw any request and they changed the subject to tell me it's under review. It's been nearly 2 months and my car is still under review. Don't waste your money with this company. They do not do reimbursements. If you tell the shop to fix your car before they say they will pay you void your coverage and they will not pay for it so you have to wait. It feels like they are trying to wait you out until you just give up and pay for it yourself!

I’ve been on hold for over an hour. I have been transferred 4 times. All I wanted was my money back. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee. I put $75 deposit down. 2 weeks later I paid my 1st payment of $170. During that 1 week period I tried to get a road side assistance (air/flat). I was denied. After the payment I tried to get road side assistance again. I was on hold for over an hour and a half during which time to strangers fixed my flat. They never sent anyone out. I had a schedule maintenance visit for a diagnostic to fix my electrical at circle Buick. My car was on their lot for 6 days. Oxcar denied the claim. I ended up having to pay for the labor myself, just to get may car back. I cancelled due to all this nonsense. Now I’m asking for my money back because they have a commercial that’s says 30 day money back guarantee. One of the four reps told me that I wasn’t eligible because my deposit was only $75 and it’s for people who pay $100 deposit. So I will write a negative review every day until I get my money back. Whatever you do don’t use this service.
