Sent used & damaged RAM
I bought a new 64GB desktop RAM from PB Tech. They're labelled Sep 2025 (last month) but it seems used. Not only used, it is damaged, my PC kept crashing as soon as I used it. So they didn't use it for testing. Their customer service wouldn't explain why it's already used/damaged, their replies are very slow and seem to be from a template.
Absolute rubbish customer service
Absolute rubbish customer service, very blunt that they won’t accept return being outside 7 days even in family emergencies such as parent funeral, this world has become heartless and they’re apart of it! Not happy, 1st and last time purchase.
Beware bad customer service
Beware! It comes up like it’s an Australian company, even the postage makes like it’s Australian. Had an issue with my order and needed to send it back, was told it needed to be sent to New Zealand although it was sent to me from Marrickville NSW. So when I went to post the item back I had to pay $62 for standard shipping to post it back to the company, didn’t end up posting it back as I would have been out of pocket, as the company also wanted to charge me 20% for repacking as I had opened the box, it was sealed again with clear tape so you wouldn’t have even known. I have sent numerous emails asking for a delivery address in Australia so I can send it back with no reply. Bad customer service. Won’t ever buy from again.

It wasn't clear that they sell things that aren't in stock. Drop shipping sales. Scammy.
At no stage did I know that this wasn't in stock and not something that they had. Waited a week like a muppet for an email telling me that it isn't in stock.
Then I spent 15 minutes on hold and their music on hold is a rock song, super annoying, about a guy wasting a day on hold. Cringe.
Shop anywhere else...
Firstly their Google business account is currently disabled to leave a review which occurs because of policy violation and I am certain most of those reviews are fake which probably triggered that.
I paid $1300 for a refurbed laptop, it took 3 weeks to arrive and the customer service online during that time was quite slack and unconcerned. It was supposed to arrive in 3-7 days.
Their email communication is dreadful, with responses hidden inside my account with no notification to my email of when the responses came through, so I just had to keep going back into my account to check.
The laptop "works" BUT, the keyboard was clearly never checked as a number of keys do not work and the laptop requires an external keyboard. The battery is at the end of it's life so it needs to be plugged in all the time or otherwise drains quite quickly. To replace the battery for this particular unit is upwards of $400 between parts and labour because the battery is fixed internally. Additionally, it has a bluetooth malfunction which makes my wireless keyboard play up.
While I was in NZ the service in store was appalling. In a shop full of staff in Christchurch, at least 10 of them and only one other customer in the store the whole time I was there, I was not acknowledged once in the twenty minutes I was there going through all the laptop chargers trying to find one to fit an older laptop, the staff were too busy talking to each other and just completely disinterested in customer service.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PB TECH. Go anywhere else.

The booking was good and payment OK, plus delivery excellent. However, I do worry about the payment: how can they say yes without me giving them any numbers, or anything? It seemed to go well, though perhaps I got lucky!?

After they missed the estimated shipping date
After they missed the estimated shipping date, I contact support who told me it was being shipped that day, then nothing, after I contacted support again they said they would have to cancel my order due to "size restrictions".
If I could go back in time three weeks, I'd tell myself not to bother with PB Tech.
Displayed wrong item, made it right
They accidentally had the image to a product bundle incorrectly displayed online. I purchased and found a part to the bundle missing, they sent me the missing item with no trouble at all, they were extremely helpful and made it right at their expense. Showed me a lot about how they operate and could recommend more as I have been a customer for years and never had a problem.

I’m totally disappointed with our computer we brought a touch screen for our son for $1000 for school within 6 months it stopped working lucky it was still under warranty. Then 6 months later the fan kept going and we had to send it back it cost $135 to fix and took 3 weeks to get it looked at and still waiting for it. Never again would I recommend PB Tech New Zealand. Go to Noel leanings or Harvey Norman at least you know they are legit

Dodgy Stock
There is something dodgy about their stock. Nearly all of their items are faulty for reputable brands (HP; Microsoft,etc) which, when purchased elsewhere have no issues. They then make you jump through hoops to have it assessed.
DISHONOURED AGREEMENT and Poor Customer Experience
I went there on Black Friday and secured a Jabra earbud for purchase. However, because they didn't have it in the store, they mentioned they will bring it to that store to get it ready for me to pick up. I was given a printed order confirmation.
4 days (Thursday) later I received a text message requesting to pick up the product as it arrived, I went there on the weekend and met with the same guy who ordered it for me. I handed over my papers and to my surprise he said the agreed price is no longer available for that product, although clearly the order was made to secure that price (now 30% more).
I even reminded him that upon ordering I proposed them to pay on that day but they said: "no don't worry you can pay when you pick up"
This is poor customer experience but the worse thing is that they were not apologetic, with no empathy and didn't show genuine intent to solve the problem and satisfy a customer.
I think as a retailer or any organization providing a service should honor their agreement - I'm sure there are options that are available for me if I wanted to engage with customer protection unit in NZ but don't have time for that.
Easiest for me is to share my experience as much as I can to as many people as I can to make a difference where possible. Believe me, I have already made a difference (even slight but meaningful enough) - Many of my colleagues and friends will no longer buy from there thanks to my experience.. well done.!

I regret buying from here and will avoid in future. Its worth paying more elsewhere for the assurance that you will be treated fairly under the consumer guarantees act without stress. This company is known to push the boundaries in that regard.
