This has been an emotional but amazing experience! I wasn’t sure at first as nothing worked previously but slowly and carefully the injections started to work and the weight started coming off. A couple months after starting, my weight started dropping, I got to feeling better about myself, I had more energy sleep better and feel healthier. The support is amazing and it helps you understand the process and the good and bad habits you have with food etc. I don’t think about food all the time and my eating habits have changed. Ten months in and I’ve lost over three stone and could not recommend this enough….now my husband has just started on them!

My Mounjaro Journey – More Than Just Losing Weight

When I first applied for Mounjaro, I weighed 20 stone 3 lbs, and by the time I actually started treatment, I had reached 21 stone. My weight was on a worrying upward trajectory, and I knew I needed to make a change, not just for my weight, but for my long. term health and overall wellbeing.

Fifteen months later, I have lost an incredible 6 stone, and I now weigh 14 stone 9 lbs. But for me, this journey has been about so much more than the number on the scales.

My pre-diabetes has returned to normal levels, my cholesterol has improved significantly, moving from high levels to much more acceptable ones, and I feel so much better both physically and mentally. I have more confidence, a more positive outlook, and a real sense that I have taken back control of my health and my future.

I want to be clear that Mounjaro is not a magic solution, nor is it the sole answer. You still have to want to make a change, put the effort in, and take responsibility for your lifestyle. I have found that keeping busy and staying active in everyday life has been an important part of my progress. However, Mounjaro has given me invaluable support along the way, helping me manage my appetite and making the changes I needed to make feel achievable.

I also want to recognise the support from Phlo. The regular check-ins when requesting my next prescription have been reassuring and helpful. I appreciate that they take the time to check how things are going and whether treatment is still appropriate, with the focus on genuine health needs rather than vanity. That gives me confidence that my treatment has been approached responsibly, with my wellbeing at the centre of it.

After 15 months, I feel I have reached a much healthier position, and I am now looking at bringing my Mounjaro journey to an end, with the aim of maintaining the progress I have worked so hard to achieve.

Looking back, I feel incredibly grateful that I took that first step. Six stone lighter, with improved health markers and a much better sense of physical and mental wellbeing, I feel I have given myself a fresh start.

**My message to anyone considering Mounjaro is this:** it isn’t a shortcut, and you still have to put the work in, but with the right mindset and the right support, it can make a life-changing difference. For me, it has been about reclaiming my health, improving my quality of life, and feeling good about the future again.
