both times I purchased eSIM for Japan…
both times I purchased eSIM for Japan use and one for Philippine use but both did not work. There is no detailed instructions on how to use/set-up the eSIM once onsite. Wasted money. I will never use Pingo or eSIM they are providing.

The App is working fine on our end. However, please take into consideration that the quality of the calls relies on your internet connection, device settings, and sometimes the network of the person to whom you are calling.
Here are the first checks to get the best call quality from the App;
(1) ensure that the app is updated to the latest version
(2) ensure that the device you are using has been updated to the latest software
(3) ensure that your internet connection has a good upload & download speed (at least 100 kbps) and is connecting to our servers.
(4) ensure that you set your caller-ID for the App. Customers who have their caller ID set report a higher successful connection rate and higher call quality.
(5) ensure that you do not have any VOIP restrictions from your internet provider
Check those steps above and try calling again.
If you still experience issues, below are some more advanced steps that might help solve the issue:
(1) Try to log out, delete the app, power off your phone/device and power it on, and then reinstall the app.
(2) Restart your internet connection or check the router as sometimes it can act as a "firewall", blocking the VoIP calls.
(3) If after checking option 2 you are still facing the same issue, we advise you to contact your internet provider and check the internet speed with them. The lines showing the signal strength indicate only the wireless router signal, however, the internet speed is given by the internet provider.
(4) You can also try to use the service with a 3G/4G connection as long as you have enough data with your mobile operator.
However, you can call using an access number from the list if there is one available for your country and area.

1 out of 5 calls issue with hearing
At least 1 out of 5 calls I use Pingo for I end up issues with not being able to hear what person said after first few minutes and Pingo instead just repeats what they said previously over and over again . That’s when I have to hang up and call again or just use another service

Since you're using the app, please take into account that the quality of the calls, when using the app, relies on your WiFi or cellular data Internet connection and device settings as well.
Make sure:
-you have the latest app version installed on your device.
-you do not have any VoIP restrictions from your Internet provider.
-your Internet connection is not very slow and thus cannot connect you to our servers.
IMPORTANT! To ensure a high successful connection and call quality, please set up your Caller ID (the number showing up on the screen of the person you call). You can find the option in the app Menu.
1. Go to the app menu, tap "More", select "Set my Caller ID" and enter the number you'd like your friends and family to see when you call them.
2. Shortly after, you'll receive an SMS with a Verification Code. Simply confirm the verification code on the same page and your Caller ID is set.
