It was very well organized

PMP exam is like a marathon, but when you passed the finish line , the achievement and experience is extraordinary.

The testing experience was horrible the first go round. My second testing experience was better but not the best. Pearson Vue had me totally disassemble my office the first test, which did not make me happy. I get the motions needed but seriously.

Great experience!

It was great experience with PMP. Passed my test in First Attempt. Only the difficult process was to get approval of application. It took me 8 months to process my documents and verification of experience etc.

The application and instructions were easy to understand. The environment for the exam was conducive.

Though I have given exam perfectly , not sure why they revoked my pass certificate, they just said behavior while taking the exam not good it seems , not sure what is that means , I prepared well and it was my long dream to get the certification but now I am hating this process . Not at all a good one .

Earning my PMP certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) was a rewarding milestone. The course content is well structured and comprehensive.

OneVue is a slow and glitchy program. Mouse performance was inhibited. Also, I attempted to take the test the first time, and about 20 questions in, I received a fatal error and the test closed down on me. I had to reschedule to take my first full attempt. Then, it is impossible to directly communicate with anyone at OneVue, so the test taker is left frustrated.

My experience with Project Management Institute was highly valuable, well-structured, and truly enhanced my understanding of real-world project management practices.

I really benefited from the Glossary of Terms on the website when I was studying. Unfortunately, the 35-hour course I took was TERRIBLE (TIA's course). It was so unnecessarily complicated and didn't present the material well! The fact that the course was one of PMI's partners and so popular was shocking. I had to unlearn almost everything from that course and re-learn it through other resources when studying for the exam. Also, finding a laptop that met the exam specifications was very difficult. It would be nice if the software supported Chromebooks! I'm glad that I passed, but the material honestly didn't feel particularly useful to the industry I'm in. It seems much more useful for software projects or projects with physical deliverables (like construction, a prototype, etc). Also, the certification would be more useful for people managing large teams. Ultimately, I didn't feel like I came away with techniques that I could actually apply to the work that I do, unfortunately. That said, I think PMI's website and resources weren't the source of my issues overall, so I'm still rating you with 4 stars.

The access to preparation material and the constant follow up prior to the exam was great. There was always clear information in all forms of communication and the partnerships that the organization has allowed great experiences for the exam.

Excellent overall experience!

Although the ECO was helpful, I didn't find it until very late in the studying process. It should be way more pronounced as I think it is the, well, exam content outline (LOL) and it has more valuable information than any other study material I used. The study hall is an absolutely necessary tool as well.

My review has nothing to do with "trust" in the vendor. This is implicit from being a well recognized entity. I am quite happy to have achieved the certification i was going for. PMI itself had less than 10% involvement in obtaining the certification I was after - other than paying the dues and filling the application and linking with the virtual testing vendor. I must say the application process is burdensome and should be simplified. If someone wants to take any test, has the 3yrs+ experience in related activities, let them just state so and there shouldn't be any particular need to provide a lengthy explanation. That in itself is not a reflection of their experience or qualification.
