Overall I've had a pleasant experience dealing with Avon Scientific/Pool Warehouse UK. I would rate them 5* if they can make the order progress a bit more interactive (when required). I.e. Answer calls or take messages and respond later. Resource costs money and therefore I'd be happy to pay more for the products to have a better customer experience. Something to consider...

First of all can I say this review is about their non existent customer service. I emailed them and made it very clear that I wasn’t chasing the order I just needed them to know that I was going away for a few days and didn’t want the item to arrive when no-one was at home. I got no response. The telephone lines are permanently engaged. I then sent a message via Facebook messenger and on their Facebook page. This generated a generic response as if I was chasing the order. I tried to confirm once again that I wasn’t chasing. The person I was speaking to via messenger said they were the owner of the Company and once again spoke to me like I was chasing putting in capital letters that the item was being sent out within the advertised time scales. I told them I was disappointed with their attitude. The company encourage customers to use the email facility to communicate. As other reviewers have said no updates are sent prior to despatch. I am sure with the technology available today it wouldn’t be too hard to create a better customer service experience. The item I ordered has arrived and I’m happy with it. It seems that customer service is not high on their list of priorities.

I had a really good experience, my pool people’s supplier was unable to guarantee the delivery of a pool bubble cover, but I went online and found Avon Scientific (the pool warehouse) and it was all so simple. Less than a week later I have the cover we so desperately needed. They could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Rating them a 1 and haven't even bought from them! I messaged twice asking if they could explain their '3 year Pro-Rata Warranty' and haven't received a reply.

I also note that some of their solar covers are labelled Geo Bubble rather than GeoBubble™ and the image shows standard circular bubble wrap type covers. Simple typos over a range of covers or something a little more creative?

I've gone elsewhere after this experience and the other reviews on here.

Ordered a number of items. After a week with no dispatch notice I attempted to call, to receive an answer message advising I email. I did. Turns out they had shipped my items to the billing address, not the shipping address.

Customer service response boiled down to "Shrug, life is hard because covid"

If i could rate this company zero I would. I purchased a 12ft debris cover in error thinking I was buying a solar cover, as their website purchasing page is confusing. I contacted their customer service team to explain and dealt with Alison. She is trying to dismiss my right to return the product and has been dismissive in her communications. I am going to pursue this matter even if I have to go to court. What they are dismissing consumer rights and deserve to face the consequences. Appalling customer service DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Beware buying bespoke pool covers from this company!!! Ordered a new solar cover for our pool and it arrived with parts missing from the order and most importantly the ridge where the two pieces of cover are fused together is not central on the cover and instead is a third of the way across the cover and pool. It looks really cheap and as though the cover has been made from off-cuts. Certainly not how I would define a bespoke fit!! When I called to complain and request they do something about it, my remarks were completely dismissed by Alison and she said what do I expect as it is the width of the material on the roll!! What I expect is the centre line to run up the centre and be symmetrical and bespoke to my pool - As per the ‘bespoke’ cover that I ordered!! Her attitude was appalling and she refused to remedy this. Absolutely zero customer service. So now we are left with a cover that looks cheap and as though it was tacked together by two pieces of offcuts and is not what I wanted or expected from a bespoke cover!!
I would definitely not recommend this company. Go somewhere else and buy from a company who actually cares about the service and products they provide!!!

Items arrived quickly however the 5kg of chlorine weighed in at 4.6kg, so theres a bit of creating weighing going on. Contacted them but no reply, its a bit naughty.
