Asked for Renual price came back £140 more than last time said I won’t renew they instantly came back a hundred pounds cheaper, why not give me that price in the first place? Anyway I got insurance £200 cheaper with Aviva

As an intermediary, our initial renewal quotes are generated automatically by our underwriting panel using standard market algorithms. When a customer gets in touch with us regarding their renewal, we are able to re-evaluate the policy details and check if alternative terms or updated criteria across our panel can produce a lower rate.
We appreciate this process can feel frustrating, and we are sorry we were unable to match the price you secured elsewhere on this occasion. We are glad you have been able to arrange cover with Aviva and wish you all the best.

RAC have been my insurer now for several years. Despite the renewal price increasing, when it actually comes to the amount you pay for excess- I haven't found anything cheaper.
Their customer service is excellent as is the policy offered.

Do not take out a car insurance policy with the RAC
Having recently setup a new car insurance policy with RAC insurance, I received a letter from them telling me my insurance will be cancelled on the 11th October, or the 8th October depending which paragraph you read, but when I login to try to look at the documents they tell me are not filled in correctly, it says my insurance is already cancelled (4th October) and the documents aren't available.
The letter is confusing and poorly written, and with this particular policy it's impossible to speak to anyone and the webchat is useless.

RAC attended to change a flat tyre unfortunately the young chap was inexperienced, opted to jack the caravan up by the floor not the Alko jack points. “Crunch” - one nice ‘jack foot’ sized hole in the floor of our prized caravan. Not Good!

My renewal
My renewal in the current climate of rising costs was favourable in comparison with other providers. The ability to process and receive the policy was also seamless, if this continues I will remain a loyal customer.
