Thank you! Rusty Wallace racing experience! It truly was an amazing experience. I drove today at Texas motor speedway, I did 3 laps as a ride along (I highly recommend this before you drive), the professional driver gets you familiar with the track and pushes the car to the extreme, getting your adrenaline pumping. Next I did 4 laps (wish I had bought more) driving my own car, but before all this, there is a safety class. Pay attention in this class, the instructor (Art) gives a lot of tips and info on how to operate the car in a safe manner and truly enjoy you driving experience. Every employee at RW was very nice and helpful and help make my day most memorable.

Driving was awesome.
If you are going to spend money, do it on extra laps, the ride along, and the extreme car. DO NOT do the video. ITS GARBAGE. They will say "check your video before you leave the track"..problem is, YOU CANT. An employee in the trailer does it for you...says its good to go...and hands you back your SD card. they advertise a 2 VIEW video...one view is from the outside of the car, the second view is facing you. That is a lie. All i got was a video of the outside view...and it was very shaky, vibrating badly, and had wavy interference. HORRIBLE. WASTE OF MONEY.

Whether you’re a racing fan or not this experience offers fun and excitement for everyone a must try! Plenty of helpful staff/ signage to ensure everyone could find the event parking for easy check in. Instructional training at the beginning went smoothly.

My session included 3 ride along laps with a professional driver, then 50 laps driving by myself in a COT upgraded car at Richmond Raceway. Highly recommend the ride along as the driver gets you familiar with the track and the driving lane to maintain while driving by yourself. I also recommend driving more than 10 laps as it takes 5-10 laps to get familiar, comfortable/trusting the car you waste some of initial laps. The instructors had me run about half the laps, come in to pit, changing any tires that needed to be then back out for remaining laps. Was able to drive at my own pace, while spotter encouraged me to pass and change speeds to experience how the track handled. Richmond is more physically demanding for drivers making it fun as you get more of first hand experience then easier wide open 1.5-superspeedways. I had the experience of a life time, the photo plaque, and go pro video add ons will help me relieve the experience forever. I highly recommend Rusty Wallace Racing Experience I can’t wait to try other tracks in the future!

Drove for four hours to Dover, DE. Spent close to $1,000 for the mega package (including reschedule fees because of COVID). Disorganized cash extraction scheme with so much potential fun and so much unnecessary fear and danger. The ride along is fun but teaches you nothing at all - you cannot speak to the driver. The “training” is 50% upsell pitch for insurance and ride-along and was completely and utterly useless. Then they release you cold into an active track with cars going 130mph all around you. Cars are pretty knackered. One engine blew up while I was there. Lane markers are essentially not visible. Manual stick shift (my gear box had no first and apparently a fourth gear but I did not know). Your drive is monitored by the all important ONE WAY comms spotter from the tower but mine did did not work. The cars have no mirrors or gages and your head is kind of clamped so you can move it maybe 5 degrees facing forward. Totally dangerous and terrifying. I pulled off after four of my seventeen laps. No one overall in charge that I could find, no one cared. No refunds. Avoid like the plague. If you do go allow an extra half an hour to find it at Dover because the signs are tiny and mostly not there

Art was a good instructor . the whole staff was nice and made it fun.

My dad, brother, brother-in-law and myself got the 12-lap racing experience at Bristol as a Christmas present and it was incredible. Registration when we got to the track was easy. Art was our instructor for our pre-race meeting and did an exceptional job making sure we were ready to race. When we got to the track, we hadn't planned on doing the ride along experience first, but Art suggested it to help us feel more comfortable with the track and the car. I'm glad we did, because it definitely made the driving experience better. The pit stop crew was great on pit road helping us with our instructions and were incredibly hospitable. Definitely recommend!

I am 62 and this was my 3rd time at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2-years doing the 24 laps in the upgraded COT car.

Julia made registration a breeze. Art was "Great" as always at covering the driver safety! Pit Crews were on top of their game getting the drivers safely strapped into their car. I was driving the #20 Home Depot car.

I want to give big SHOUTOUT to my spotter, he provided the best experience to date! His clear and precise communications along with positive feedback allowed me to safely pass slower cars giving me top speed hot laps!

I purchased the 24-lap COT car package for my older brother. We were on the track at the same time allowing us to do a little racing! He had a Blast as well even though I lapped him 3 times! LOL See you next October!!

So disappointed. We purchased the 8-lap driving experience as Christmas gifts for my in-laws. Unfortunately my father-in-law came down ill the morning of the race and couldn’t go. Bummer, but no big deal. My mother-in-law went herself and had an unfortunate experience— especially for what was paid. You will pay extra for insurance, videos, and if you haven’t done it before, you’ll pay extra for a couple laps with a driver, too. This comes out to be nearly $200 additional cost per person.

The safety course was detailed. However, when it came down to doing the safety check learned during the course, such as checking the steering wheel and the seatbelts, everything was very rushed. My mother-in-law expressed that her helmet was too big, and they didn’t have a smaller size. Then when asked if she could hear them through the ear pieces, she told them, “Not very well.” He then asked if she could hear him a little, she responded “Kind of.” He thought that was good enough and moved on. Then low and behold, they pulled her from the driving experience because she wasn’t able to hear what they were telling her through the ear pieces. They fixed her up with different ear pieces, and checked the volume— all was well, and she was able to get back out there. She lost the ability to hear again and consciously pulled into the pit where they just turned off the car and called it quits, even though she wasn’t done with the laps that were paid for. Not sure if the issue was due to the facts that they were trying to push people through like cattle, if they were understaffed, or if they just didn’t care. So disappointing.

My husband and his brother booked a ride along experience for their dad for a Father's Day gift. When we showed uo to the track on the day that we had on our confirmation page 9/25), we were told it had been the prior day (9/24). The people at the raceway were surprised as well that the date was listed as shown. My father-in-law at 77 was so disappointed as were the family that came to watch! I will be looking for our refund that was promised but honestly more upset by the fact that they were so umsympathetic to what had happen. They told my husband they sent out emails correcting the dates but we saw no emails communicating this to us.

First off, our race time was delayed due to the weather which can't be controlled and I'm not complaining about the delay. This experience was a Fathers Day gift from my two sons. We paid for the standard cars and a Go-Pro video for each of us. The three of us planned to race together. My low rating has to do with the lack of organization from the track crew and the poor quality of the equipment. Once we finished our safety meeting which Art was awesome, we went to suit up. we received our fire suits but there were no helmets that fit us. I would imagine that large helmets are the most common. They were all gone. There were two full shelves of XL XXL and 3X. We had to wait over an hour to get three large ones. Next, the cars they used were not very dependable. Breakdowns were happening with almost every ride. one caught on fire. Our trackside worker said they were down two of the four cars for the driving experience and two for the ride along. This slowed things up considerably. As we waited for our cars, we were told because of cars being broke down, only two of us could race together. It would have been nice if they would have given one of us a free upgraded car (which there were 4 of) so we could all race together. But they didn't and I can't complain too much about that. So I let me boys race together. They both got in the cars together, my oldest son was sent out on the track and had two laps down before my younger son started. As i watched youngest head out on the track, I saw my oldest coming around turn four and i though, great they will race together. That didn't happen, as soon as my youngest son got on the backstretch they told him to pull off because his car needed fuel. He didn't even get a full lap. Again, lack of organization. By the time he was fueled up and waiting to be cleared to go back out, my oldest boy pulled back into the pits. Then it was my turn. I got into the same car that my oldest son was in which was squealing very loudly when he pulled in. The trackside worker said it was a bad bearing, it will still operate fine but will be noisy. By the time I got suited and waiting to head out on the track, my youngest son walked by because his laps were completed. None of us would be on the track together. However, I went out and had a blast. The actual driving was a lot of fun. The radio communication could be vastly improved. It was not very clear to hear. So i finished my laps and got out of the car. I thanked my trackside worker and he said "make sure you get your Go-Pro SD card". Then he looked at the car and there was no Go-Pro camera mounted on the roof. After some discussions with the other workers in the area, he apologized that they forgot to install the camera for my drive. Furthermore, he said because they were so far behind in their schedule and had so many cars broke they couldn't get me back into a car and out with a camera but they would refund my money. Not the answer I was looking for. Finally, we all wanted to know who was the fastest, which I'm sure most drivers want to know that. This company gave you nothing regarding lap times or speed. I did Dale Jarret driving experience years ago and they gave you a complete list of elapsed time and speed for every lap. I think that is a very simple and meaningful thing that should be included. Lastly, this company is all about having you pay for upgrades. like i said, we paid for the Go-Pro which was fine. They pushed the liability insurance ($75/person) car upgrades, ride- along and drive packages and the 4x6 photo for $50. As i said, once out on the track, I had a blast. Unfortunately, there were too many mishaps and mistakes to truly make me want to come back. Forgetting to record my drive, then just giving my money back doesn't make it go away. THAT was poor customer service.

So we didn't get to go because my fiance hurt his back. He is under doctor's care and he wrote a letter to Rusty Wallace Racing Experience stating that my fiance cannot possible get in and out of the car with his back in such bad shape. Dr. M stated tat he "has been advised not to participate with this racing experience."
I called and have been emailing but they are adamant about not returning my money ($346.62). They "rescheduled it for December 25 - Christmas Day!! Reading many of the reviews, it sounds as though several of these cars are not in the best safety condition. Unfortunately, now I will have to get my lawyer involved because this money hungry company cannot follow their own instructions: "The one exception is for a documented medical situation which prohibits the customer from participating in the racing experience."
To Mr. Rusty Wallace, your reputation and good name is going down the hopper with these people using your name to run the "racing experience". You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I want to start off by saying the people working the experience. Starting with the young lady at registration, her dad giving the safety class were the best.

As far as the cars they need to in better shape. One of the cars that the p professional drivers need maintenance big time. The car I went 3 laps the over flow fell out and was leaking gas. That had to be fixed before we could go. The other car was leaking oil all over the track and finally they stopped using that car.

Now to the car I drove the tachometer didn’t work. I called the main office today and he asked if I pulled back into the pits to tell them it wasn’t working???
I am sure I wasn’t the first to notice this. He said you were instructed to pull in the pits if there is a mechanical issue???
Mechanical issue as like a flat tire you can’t turn the wheel your accelerator doesn’t work here you have no brakes the clutch doesn’t work you can’t turn the wheel to me that’s a mechanical issue!
He made me as if it was my fault that I didn’t address the problem?
In my opinion the cars all need mechanical items fixed . I would consider the cars to be seconds!
if you are just out to enjoy driving and not really wanting to see how fast you can get then this is for you!
IF you want to see if you can get faster n faster you have 2 choices make sure everything in your car is working properly or try a different racing experience!

Windshield and helmet visor where so scratched and dirty, I could barely tell where I was going. Tiny little colored tape marks on the track were almost invisible, making staying in the drive lane very intimidating. Yes, it was still fun, but it could have been better. The track just north of Denver is tiny and more suited to go-karts, and I drove faster on the way home.

Growing up in Dodge City watching my Uncle Allan race the car my dad built and worked on in our garage, I have wanted to get behind the wheel of a race car since I was 4 years old. As racing matured, my desire only got stronger watching racing at McCarty Speedway in Dodge City until my early 20’s. I have attended dirt track races and Stock car races all over the country. In the early 2000’s I got behand the wheel of a car once driven by Ricky Craven in Atlanta at Texas Motor Speedway at 144.5 MPH. I pit crewed as the jackman and tire specialist on the late Tony Ropers pit crew at a couple of races at Evergreen speedway in Monroe, Washington. I met Kenny Wallace in Las Vegas during a race at Las Vegas Motor speedway because he was good friends with Tony Roper. Getting the opportunity to finally get behind the wheel of a Winged Sprint car has been a life long dream. The crew at Kenny Wallace Driving Experience was exactly as expected. One of the best experiences of my life. After going through the class and driving the car, all it did to this 60 year old man was bring back my desire to race. I cannot say that I set any track records while in the car, but it allowed me to mark off another bucket list item. If you are on the fence about it, just do it. You will love the experience.

Rewriting my review to take out all the curse words in case they try to delete it. I purchased this as a gift, it was not as advertised. My boyfriend waited a half a year for this ride. His appointment was two hours late and he had to sit out in the sun while missing work and was not offered any compensation other than a water bottle. The staff was incompetent. The driver was rude and insulted him to his face during the ride(calling him and the other riders a word that this review site required I delete). My boyfriend is very sweet and polite and wouldn’t want to speak up so I’m giving feedback for him. I would never recommend this to anyone even if it was free.

Cool experience overall but the guys running the show are kind of rude when it comes to on-track, especially the spotter on the radio. Instead of telling you what your doing wrong on the track and how to fix it, or what to do better they just yell at you over the radio and make rude comments. Tell me what im doing wrong and how to adjust, dont just say your doing everything wrong… ok, like what??

Ruined the entire experience for me after the spotter was being rude. Didnt even finish all my laps that I paid for.

I purchased a short track late model drive experience for a close friend of mine for her 50th birthday and I and yesterday was the day at South Sound Speedway in Washington. I used to crew on Late Models in the early 2000’s and have always wanted to drive. She’s a hardcore motorhead and is always up for an adventure. Yesterday, August 12th was the day.

The signup process on line was very easy and was very reasonably priced.

Check in was smooth and we got to to the track a couple of hours early to watch other classes go through so we knew what to expect. The check in process was smooth as silk.

The “classroom” instructor, Sandy, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gives it to you straight. Very patient with questions, and you could tell the lady knows her racing.

The staff had put fluorescent green and orange tape marks on the track for your preferred racing line and where to roll into the throttle and brake. It couldn’t be simpler.

The firesuits and helmets were clean and very accommodating; and the young man in “wardrobe” would go out of his way to help make you safe and comfortable. (Well, as comfortable as you can in a tight fitting racecar).

My friend Tina is very small (5’ 0.0”), so they had her get in a specific car set up for smaller drivers and had plenty of padding for her to be safe and as comfortable as can be in the car. I’m a 6’ big guy and again, specific car. It’s not exactly as comfortable as your street car, but it’s the real deal. The crew chief is a very even keeled, super friendly, but focused professional. He has a good sense of humor and is the kind of VERY patient guy you want working with a nervous driver. Tina was a nervous mess, until he got her secured into the car and “pep talked”.

Now it was time to go. We took to the track and WOW! The cars are quick and fast, and I thought “I’ve worked around these things for years; I’ve got this!” Throw what you think you know about racing out the window; these cars will humble you QUICK! If you listen carefully to, and put into practice what the staff instruct you on, you’ll do great. They don’t encourage you to go any faster or slower than you’re comfortable with. However, if you get arrogant and completely ignore the instruction on the radio from the crew chief/spotter, they will cancel your drive and eject you from the event in the name of safety, and they, unfortunately had to with another driver during our experience. They’re very fair and all about you having the time of your life, but they are also VERY safety focused and will not tolerate “hot shots”, so leave the “Days of Thunder” attitude at home. These are real race cars and unlike the other racing experiences, they don’t water it down here.

The folks at the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience will go out of their way to give you the COMPLETE racing experience and your monies worth. I’d HIGHLY recommend this program to anyone who has always dreamt of driving a real racecar and I look forward to doing this again in the future.

Had a great day at Oswego Raceway on July 30. I'm 73 years old and the 5 Lap Taste of Speed is perfect. Instructor got us ready and I enjoyed the laps. Very professional group.

Had a great experience at the dells speedway! Everything from the check in to the end was fantastic! I did the ride along (you are the passenger and the professional drives) then drove around by myself for 10 laps. I do recommend the ride along first just to get a feel for the track. The crew does their best to help with any questions and concerns to make you have the best experience! You can tell they are passionate about it! So glad I did this!
