Not great experince

We ordered a bike for our sons birthday….three months later still no bike.
We had to keep following up ….personally I felt they just didn’t care.

After buying a bike online there was a…

After buying a bike online there was a problem with the rear tyre not inflating, after trying to contact the customer service team on numerous days and times I had to call the shop in Melbourne to ask them to get somebody to return my call, the problem was rectified eventually by them sending me a new tube, however it cost me another 20 to get a professional to fix it for me

Great looking bike

Great looking bike, but didn't come with all the pieces so we then had to take to a bike shop to have put together at our expense, my daughter bought it for a trip with her girlfriends hence us using a bike shop to put together

Build quality for the price

The overall build quality of the bike is good but for the price I paid, it could have been better. The derailleur is not smooth enough for gear transitions…

Bought two mountain bike disc pro and crank busts.

Bought two reid mountain bike disc and disc pro. Must say, never in my time of using reid product have I come across such poorly designed bikes and cheap and nasty. The crankshaft busted without even hitting the trails. reid, very disappointing! Your mountain bikes are of very low and poor quality. Not impressed at all!

Seamless Online transaction and delivery

Second purchase online from Reid Cycles. They have excellent communication and customer service. The staff are very helpful with any pre-purchase questions. Bike came with some assembly required, but full instructions are provided. Seamless online transaction, with delivery to the Gold Coast without any issues. 100% happy with the quality of the products from Reid.

Rust in light rain.

Parts of the bike (cranks and stainless bolts throughout the frame) had rust after being caught out in some light rain for a day ride. Was very suprised so little moisture could cause it. Other than that the bike is nice to look and and my partner is enjoying riding it.

Unfortunately rust will occur on steel parts with the presence of moisture. You can do your best to avoid this by ensuring that the bike is cleaned and dried after each use, and by storing inside/undercover.

Good fat bike for the money (ALPHA)

Good fat bike for the money (ALPHA). Had a minor problem with the pedal, was replaced without issue with better quality pedals. Great communication and quick service. Highly recommended.

Awful Customer Service

I had issues with my bike purchase from Reid cycles and it has been the most difficult and frustrating process trying to get them to help me. The Paramatta store do not answer their phone and when emailing customer service they take days/weeks to reply. When calling customer service you get put on to an automatic answering machine that cuts you off once you have been waiting over 10 minutes. Tried calling and emailing numerous times for assistance as I had a race coming up and no one from Reid cycles would respond. I finally got a response from Reid Cycles and I advised of the issues with my bike and the urgency of the matter (as I had a race coming up) and was requested to send a video of the issue which I was assured would be replied to the next morning. I was not replied to for nearly a week (2 days after the race).

Someone finally called me back and advised me I could bring the bike to the shop and they would look to see what the issue was but would have to pay a service fee for them to look at the bike - even though I had only purchased the bike and there was an issue with the bike from the start, and I am entitled to two free services as the bike was purchased new! The assembly videos also did not match the bike I had so even when I tried to fix the issues myself using the videos, it was impossible as the video was giving instructions on parts that were not even on my bike. (I originally selected in store pick up but after I paid, Reid cycles said that there was a 4 week delay with in store pick up so suggested home assembly - which left me little options as I needed a new bike before the race.

I am very unhappy with my purchase and the service from Reid Cyles and would not recommend them to anyone.

You may not be able to get the free service they offer.

Part of the reason I bought this bike, which I love, was because it offered the free service within the first year of purchase.
But I found out yesterday that when I asked about where to take it, they don't service Cairns where I live. And I'm sure not going to take it all the way to Brisbane.
I am really disappointed about this.

I have a battery issue

I have a battery issue, i went to the Reid sydney shop to seek some guidence and was told to ring melbourne (after driving 60 kms)
After speaking to Sam on the help line we are working to a resoloution, Sam has been great, however there is a delay in getting a replacement, which means i cant go away on a biking trip, after waiting for the Covit rules to change etc.
im hoping Sam can resolve quickly.
