They rely on tenants not reading the T&Cs and market themselves as providing a £0 deposit service when in actuality, the money you pay is a fee that is not returned at the end of the tenancy. So, even when the property is returned in great condition and no charges would ordinarily apply, you effectively still forfeit the sum paid to Reposit. This is not made clear at all at the time. In short, you’re better off paying the cash deposit so that this is returned in full rather than paying a service fee which doesn’t even limit your liability for end of tenancy charges. A SCAM

It was good experience to deal with Reposit, even it’s the first one. They offered different choices and solutions, charges were reasonable and the procedure didn’t take so long to be complete.

It’s a great way for tenants and landlords to manage deposits and everything is explained so clearly. Great experience

Extremely disappointing experience with Reposit.
I don’t often make reviews however I really feel a duty to warn others from experiencing what I have experienced.
I challenged deductions from my deposit because I had substantial evidence documenting the condition of the property when I moved in. This included photographs, timestamps, comments made on the inventory at the start of the tenancy, and a completed and signed electronic Inventory and Schedule of Conditions.
A major concern throughout the dispute was that the landlord/agent submitted an incomplete version of the inventory, while my completed and signed version contained additional tenant photographs and amendments within the interactive document. I also provided the underlying photographic files and offered to provide the original iOS timestamps and metadata so that the evidence could be independently verified.
The adjudication decision stated that photographs considered “unverified” would not be treated as substantive evidence. My concern was precisely that the evidence was capable of verification and that the original electronic inventory and photographic files were available for review.
The disputed deductions included cleaning and decoration/repainting. My move-in evidence documented existing cleanliness issues and pre-existing decorative problems, including comments in the inventory about the poor decorative standard and mismatched paint. I also raised evidence that some photographs relied upon by the landlord/agent appeared to pre-date my tenancy.
I subsequently requested a review specifically on the basis of a manifest error and explained why the evidence was material to the deductions. The review has now been rejected.
I am extremely disappointed that, despite providing evidence and explaining where I believed material evidence had not been properly considered, the outcome did not address my concerns in a way that gave me confidence that the complete electronic inventory and underlying photographic evidence had been properly examined.
This review reflects my personal experience of the dispute process. Prospective tenants should make sure they retain their own original photographs, timestamps, inventory comments and copies of the completed inventory, rather than relying solely on the platform's records.
There is not enough protection involved for tenants at all from my experience. It is much more beneficial to go through a standard deposit option as I have never had an issue with this before. Despite my evidence submitted for review, Reposit stated it wasn’t enough to justify a ADR review even though that very evidence not being considered IS the reason I have been hit with charges.
You pay the one week rent payment which is not refundable which is absolutely fair enough and a seemingly great option if you’re low on money! How wrong I was. I take great care of my properties and this is my first time using reposit rather than traditional deposit options and I can confirm I would never use it again.
Reposit will most likely try and reply to this review in attempt to dismiss this. I would strongly recommend you take anything they say with a bit of doubt! Good luck everyone.
Please note, as soon as your payment is made, you get a very polite email asking for a review on how things went which explains all the 5 star reviews!
