LIARS! LIARS! LIARS!: Still Waiting for My $$6,500 Refund For 4 Months nOW!

I strongly advise against doing business with RU Japan. I paid $$6,500 to them 4 months ago, for Toyota Sienta and they confirmed the payment on 27th April 2026. Immediately they received the money, Khadijah the sales rep, changed the story and told me that that unit I paid for could not pass inspection (that was lie number1). She promised me not to worry since she was going to get me a unit from the auction. A month later she started telling me that my budget was low so I should consider raising my budget. The story continued until I told her to refund the money if she could not get a unit within my budget and this is where she handed me over to another sales rep by the name Sameer (I don/t know if this is how his name is spelled). He started convincing me but I was already fed up but he promised me that if we continue bidding it will not interfere with the refund process, so I agreed and even topped up my budget to USD 8000. To my surprise despite me raising my budget the amount he was bidding remained the same as when my budget was usd7500. To date (25TH August 2026) I have not received the refund.
My sales reps, Khadija and Sameer, continuously keeps on telling me lies after lies and asking for documents like my Id and my driviing license I do not for what purpose. Then confirm your address and I don’t know how many times I am supposed to confirm my address etc, just to buy time and pretend as though they are working on it but it is total bullshit. Sameer keeps on telling me your money will be refunded soon. At first he said the money will be refunded within 15 to 20 days, which is very unrealistic, I opted to wait. I have requested him to give the accounts department contact so that I may know where the problem is but he refused.
I have even warned them of posting bad reviews on all platforms and reporting them to JUMVEA, JCT AND UVIA but nothing have been done. Therefore, this is the only option left.
It is completely unacceptable to hold onto a customer's money this long without providing the vehicle or refunding the money. Potential buyers, beware of their lack of financial integrity!

Beware: Dishonest Seller - Accidented Vehicle Sold as 3.5 Grade

I recently imported a car from RU-Japan, and I'm writing to warn others about the deceitful practices of the seller. When I purchased the vehicle, I was assured it was in 3.5 grade condition, as stated on the auction sheet. However, upon arrival, I discovered the car had been involved in an accident, which was not disclosed or reflected in the provided documentation.

To make matters worse, the seller did not provide any photos of the vehicle prior to shipping, despite my request. I have since had to replace the entire boot of the car, incurring significant costs.

I tried contacting them via email, and they said they'd review the matter, but it's been over 3 weeks with no response.

I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this seller. Ensure you request detailed photos and thoroughly inspect the auction sheet and documentation before making a purchase.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this seller? Please share your story to help others avoid this scam.

I had a very good experience importing a car from RU Japan the customer representative I got was Vekram he searched tirelessly to find the right unit for me with also giving me great insight into makes and models that were good sellers in Ireland. I would highly recommend Vekram and he’s team as they are also very professional and efficient with all the paperwork needed for importing vehicles which is especially difficult with the Irish rules and regulations in regards to registering the vehicle.

Got the best customer service/response from Hammad Uddin and his team, from amongst all the other vehicle exporters, with his help i was able to secure the car I had set my eyes on. Muhammad Yasir from RU Japan initally contacted me via an Autotrader ad I'd posted when I was selling a previous car. Sometime later I became interested in importing a car from Japan so - after doing as much research as I could to ensure that they were a legitimate company - I contacted him to see what he could do.

I gave him the specification of the car I wanted and his colleagues looked for something suitable in Japanese auctions. This part of the process can be a little slow and frustrating, as there is no guarantee that you will win the car you bid on. It did actually take a couple of months to secure a vehicle. If you're not patient you could easily get desperate, as they have your money so there's not a lot you can do if you want a car quickly except to buy what they recommend. I was happy to wait a little longer to find the right vehicle. There is the option to buy a vehicle from their stock or have them buy from a dealer if you want to secure a car immediately.

Once the car was purchased the process of shipping was handled smoothly and professionally.

I would give 5 stars, but there was the issue of them hassling me constantly even when I told them I was busy and would respond when I could. I found this really irritating, but you might not.

All in all I found the experience good and would definitely use them again.
