Wasn’t sure if I would get

Wasn’t sure if I would get what I wanted from Dubai and so I gived them a call to understand how to order clothes from Dubai. They explained & I put many products together in a box. It was mostly clothes and price was mostly same as others. Got the clothes in 2 days. Good. Will use iit again.

First time user of Selfship

First time user of Selfship. I had been looking for 2 books - Body Keeps the Score and Complex PTSD since some time, but they were not available in local stores. So when I ordered it from the UAE, I wasn’t sure if I wasn’t sure how the process would be. But I got updates from Selfship and received the books in 5 days. Good service. Shipping price is reasonable.

STAY AWAY! They charge 4x the product worth

STAY AWAY!! They're doing fraudulent practices to loot money. I bought items weighing 4.5 KGS and they charged me for 9 KGS!! The customer support is a group of cheap labor people sitting at random places around the world who is so helpless. I paid 4x the actual worth of my product and to be honest, I'm the foolish one and they're clever in cheating customer.

Beware - There's no point of escalation. You just always talk to the useless support person who doesn't understand basic english and uses chatgpt to write responses. Better ask your friends or relatives to get products, stay away from Desertcart/selfship.

Great service

I like the fact that with “Selfship”, you enter the address, place the order, and they take care of the rest. No need to wait for an email or payment links; they will deduct that from the credit card automatically and have the item delivered to your doorstep.
This is very convenient.
Their customer support system needs some improvements, though.

I was initially hesitant to use…

I was initially hesitant to use Selfship due to the negative reviews I'd read online. However, my recent experience has been positive. I received my Slendertone Abs Gel Pads from the US without any issues. I will use Selfship for future shipments.

Not sure why so many bad reviews

Not sure why so many bad reviews. I've used Selfship for 3-4 times in the last 6 months, including for expensive products, and I've generally had a positive experience.

Recently, I bought an onion garlic spice mix from India. Took about 10 days. The delivery took a bit longer than expected but Selfship was transparent about these potential delays on their website. Overall, haven’t faced a problem yet.

Never again

My order was made on September 16th and delivered to my US location on September 18th. I was told my package reached the UAE warehouse but I had to update my payment method to get my order which I can’t even do on the website. I have contacted support more times than I could count right now, probably no less than 7 different times and they just kept telling me that someone would contact me soon. I had to do all the work myself and look up the issue on my own. Turns out many used who signed up using apple-id had the same struggle. It’s extremely disappointing that this issue keeps happening to more and more users. Moreover, I just want my package. It’s been almost a month I just want my stuff for the love of god.

Extra information: I made my account using apple-id thinking it wouldn’t affect anything, but by reading some reviews about individual who had a similar experience, it turns out that’s exactly why I can’t add a card to my account. According to customer service, I wouldn’t get my package until I add a card so I get charged the necessary fees, which again, I can’t do. I won’t get refunded and I won’t even get ny package. I’m extremely disappointed that customer service couldn’t even tell me this, and instead kept telling me to use a different device to log in or delete website data (both of which I did, multiple times too). My package is somewhere in the UAE warehouse as far as I know. I don’t know how the issue can be solved but I hope there is a way Selfship can provide for me. So I get my package or/and get refunded, as this is very unprofessional and just not a pleasant experience whatsoever. It’s especially frustrating because if I didn’t look this up myself, I would’ve waited for my package all my life basically. Extremely frustrating and unfair to do that as a paying customer.

Update: I managed to add a card to my account after a lot of back and forth. It hadn’t been charged yet, so I don’t know what the next step is. Special thanks to the whoever called me from UAE and gave me the solution Selfship couldn’t give. If you’re seeing this, kindly contact me again via email or calls so I proceed accordingly and hopefully get my package sometime soon.

While it took a bit longer than expected, African Pride Hair Creme arrived safely to Vejle, Denmark from the UAE. The delivery took approximately five days, but teh website proved to be a valuable tool for tracking the order's progress. I reached out to customer care regarding updates because of my kid’s hairfall. The team responded quickly, mostly receiving replies within 24 hours.

There should be an app though. Makes it easier to track.

Overall satisfied with the service I received. If you're willing to pay what you want from the UAE, I recommend giving them a try.

Got Inhaler from UK to Dublin

I'm impressed with SelfShip! I found a Dr. Nelson’s Inhaler I wanted from thelabwarehouse and had them delivered to Dublin. No store in Ireland had them in stock. I used Selfship’s virtual address in the UK to have the inhaler shipped there, and then SelfShip forwarded them to my place in Dublin. The whole thing only took about 48 hours to reach Ireland and then another 7 days to get to Dublin (which is pretty standard).

The inhaler arrived in perfect condition! What I am most happy about was that I could buy an inhaler I wanted so easily. Their payment system worked well.

Written off getting my stuff - have lost my money.

This is the first time I've ever tried to use a freight forwarder. All I can say is DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
I chose to use these guys to get a parcel from the US to Australia - the retailer I bought - Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions - unfortunately doesn't offer international shipping options - which although I don't agree with, is their right. I had to use a freight forwarder.

I signed up with SelfShip off the back of a Desertcart recommendation - using the Apple ID sign-in and and put in the shipping address for my parcel. It has now made it to their UAE warehouse, and I'm getting emails about payment notifications. I did not enter my payment information at the time of signing up - but rather chose to wait until the package had hit their system to add card details.

Once the package arrived, I signed in to add payment details and now I get a HTTP 500 error when trying to amend my profile - and their website will not let me add payment information. I have tried multiple browsers, devices, incognito mode - everything suggests the issue exists at SelfShip's end. In a desperate attempt to get my package I've even tried to sign up for their "Express" and "Pro" options but it won't even let me do that.

I have now contact technical support three times, each time they tell me that my case (of which I now have TWO reference numbers? No idea why?) is with the web development and database team to figure out my problem, in the meantime I keep getting told someone will be in touch with regards to my issue and NOBODY EVER IS!!!

Surely their website cannot be this broken, they would have no customers if it was?

I have $170US of goods tied up that I now cannot ship to me, SelfShip cannot tell me when or how they'll have the problem fixed, nobody ever gets in touch with me, and I'm tired of reaching out via their chat-only based support, only to be told that my issue is not yet solved, and they don't know what's happening or when they will be able to provide a resolution.

I JUST WANT MY STUFF!!

0/10 DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I expect at this point I've lost both my money and the goods I'm waiting on.

Update: Once I started leaving negative reviews for the service AND providing open negative comments on their Facebook - one of their reps reached out and actually got my problem solved. It seems they have an active problem with their sign-up sevice. If you first sign-up with Apple ID and don't then log in separately with your email address and a OTP the system errors and won't let you edit your profile and/or add credit card information.

The fact it took 4 days and 4 attempts to contact support to figure this out however is absolutely woeful.

I have now been able to pay for my package and it's on it's way to me, however this review still stands at 1 star out of 5 as it should NEVER have gotten this far. The fact I had to start leaving negative reviews before they actually properly looked at my issue is a damning statement about the company as a whole.

FINAL EDIT: After finally leaving negative reviews on both Facebook and here they actually called me and offered a full refund on their fees associated with the shipping. I guess that's something but the poor customer service stands. I don't know if I'll use their service again, time will tell.

Reliable and cost effective.

Very competitive compared to the other forwarding services I use. And so far, my packages have arrived on time and unscathed. Hope it stays that way.

Johnrey was amazing.

I have used this service before when it was Desertcart. I ordered something from the US but was waiting on the item being delivered. I am currently in the US and wanted it delivering from the self ship warehouse to an address in the US. This was not possible but Johnrey went above and beyond to help me achieve this. He rescued a situation where I was frustrated to making me extremely satisfied.
I would recommend purely due to Johnrey

Shameful Customer Service

I stopped my PRO membership with DesertCart because of the AWFUL, nonsensical gibberish from your “customer service” team. Plus, you refuse to own up to any mistake, and I’ve lost enough, at this point, after trying to return something I purchased of which you charged for but didn’t even realize that the package was already in your possession! How wild is that?! Done and dusted, Desertcart Self Ship!

Stay away!

Worst service I have ever tried. Customer support answering late (3 days average) with just (copy paste) none sense replies. Very late registration of the shipments (5 days) i tried it once and would never do and do not recommend.

Update:
If you want to solve the problem you need to admit there is a problem first. My feedback is about your customer service and late responses. You took 6 weeks to return the item. This is has no relation with your answer. Don’t try to play smart. Be honest only!.

Terrible User Experience

A very unfriendly user experience. Attempts for help via the live chat function were difficult and slow. It honestly felt like a scam, where they will store your package and charge you, until you choose to ship it. I'd steer well clear and use something tried and tested, like Aramex Shop & Ship - far more simple process.

Service suffered after splitting selfship from desertcart.

When selfship was included within desertcart, service was good. The moment a new website was created, the service suffered greatly. Price estimation is wrong, and my last shipment had a rare challenge coin lost from original package containing a bag. The bag was opened. This is not usual for them. I didn't complain as there is no point. I've learned the hard way that communicating usually only wastes your time and energy. I use them though sometimes as they ship items difficult to find on Amazon for example.
