What a stress free experience we have enjoyed with Shades Blinds? From arranging an appointment to the friendly, professional and efficient measuring by Josh over two large box windows with vertical blinds to two roller blinds to the quick, efficient and clean installation by John.....all within a week.....a company that we could recommend to all.

We ordered blinds from shades in APRIL. Still waiting for the final part to complete, it’s now JUNE.

They came out measured in April and fitted in April - however one of the sizes for our windows was incorrect even after measuring prior to fitting.

They then came out and fitted the right size , however it was the wrong blind. We ordered all wooden slated shutter blinds and they had fitted plastic ones that look a lot cheaper.

Then came out and said that we were correct in what we were saying??

And now 24th June they have phoned to say our scheduled appointment to fix this whole mess has been cancelled.

They haven’t once prioritised this job even though we have waited for several months. Poor customer service to be phoned on the day of the appointment to say it won’t be happening and poorer service to not take this job as priority as it has been their fault numerous times.

When fitter came for the second time i asked him that there was a small fault on last window that was fitted rectified fault straight away

Very friendly staff easy process quick delivery and excellent blinds from start to finish 1st class service.

The service I received from shades was excellent. On the day of the appointment I was kept up to date on the time they would be arriving. Ryan called me when he was 30 minutes away to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was happy with the price quoted.

I had Anthony from Shades Blinds out on Tuesday 9th of June to check my blinds. They had to be returned as they were faulty. Anthony returned yesterday 16th of June to install my blinds as they had been fixed he checked them, then asked if I was happy with them which I was. He was very friendly and helpful. A would highly recommend Shades Blinds as there customer service is 1st class and there employees

Poor service rude staff waited 15 min no anwser plus payed alot money for blind keep falling apart wont be bk

Blinds supplied and fitted within a couple of weeks of first appointment. A professional friendly service. Would recommend using Shades blinds as I have used them many times due to their service and reasonable costs.

Shambles of a company!!
Placed an order through the East Kilbride branch .
Ordered five blinds , three of the five blinds were wrong ! One was for a patio door the blind only came halfway down the window , one of the blinds was the wrong colour and the other one was too long for the window!!

Phoned to complain and was told the mistake was human error, how can you get an order so wrong!! There was no apology from Danny who i spoke to he just said no company gives 100% quality control ! I found this astounding coming from a member of staff !

I then asked to speak to a manager and Angela called me and informed me she was a manager, at this point I asked for my complaint to be escalated to someone higher up in the company. I was then told there was no one else I could speak to . I find this hard to believe for such a big company there is no area managers or senior managers?

After speaking to Angela again I was told they would be fitting the blinds for a second time on Tuesday 9th June. They didn't turn up , oh yes they managed to get wrong as well. The answer is got for that from Angela was oh sorry I forgot to hit the save button to confirm your booking !!

At this point I asked again for my complaint to be escalated to someone higher up in the company. Angela then said there is only myself and Larry who are supervisors to deal with any complaints. In the space of five days Angela was seemingly no longer a manager but a supervisor!!

Once this company have your money their attitude and customer service is appalling. If you are looking for great customer service and a stress free experience , think about taking your custom elsewhere .

Had my complaint been taking seriously and dealt with in an appropriate manner I would never have thought about leaving this review . I can only hope this gets brought to the attention of someone higher up in the company for them to realise how customers are being treated .

Sales Rep was on time and tracking service made it easy to see when he would arrive. He was well mannered, professional. I was kept up to date by email that fitting day was on schedule.
Young man who fitted blinds was also pleasant and professional, job was completed quickly. I would highly recommend Shades, they are professional, quality of product is very good, and very reasonably priced.

Excellent service from Shades, kept me well informed each step, also supplied tracking service was really efficient. Can’t fault them. Blinds are perfect.

Have used in past and been delighted with service but this time I am disappointed! Blind hits handle of window when putting down all the time and blind installer never brought a ladder but proceed to stand on my ottoman, which I moved out the way to allow access, and broke it and never said a word but I certainly heard the thud of him falling off it!!!

Windows were measured and blinds paid for on 13th May.
Was told the fitting date was 27th May, 2pm to 7pm, was cancelled by fitter late in the day.
Second date was 2nd June, 10am to 2pm as explained to Glasgow manager Danny, I’d suffered bereavement of a close family member and couldn’t afford to wait around all day. The Blinds were getting fitted in an empty flat so I was assured I would be the first customer and would be called first thing that morning to have time slot confirmed (likely from 10am to 11am).
In any event I was not phoned. When I called the office Danny was unavailable and I was told under no terms would I have been guaranteed the first call out. I ASSURE YOU I WAS! I thought special arrangements had been made because of my situation.
In any case the fitting did not go ahead as it was being moved to after 2.30pm (not even within the designated time slot). I cancelled it via office then received a message to say fitter had called and I wasn’t available!!
I have since arranged to pay an agent to give the fitter access as I am in the middle of funeral arrangements. I cannot postpone fitting as tenants are waiting to move in.
Shades said they would rearrange another date within a few days. They haven’t. Every day that goes by without blinds I am losing money as I cannot rent a flat with no blinds.
I have found SHADES to be completely lacking in compassion, disingenuous and completely inflexible because COMPUTER SAYS NO!
Avoid them at all costs if you are in a hurry to have blinds fitted or can’t afford to be cancelled at the last minute. Shocking service especially as they are aware of the family bereavement.
UPDATE - i see youve sent a standard reply which does not even attempt to resolve the problem.
Im told told it will be another TEN DAYS before you can fit the blinds so youve not even kept your promise of last week to fit me in asap, SHOCKING 😮
