Boy did I mess up. But!! These guys are awesome
What I thought was going to be an easy swap quickly turned. On top of that I couldn't afford the items I need. The team was very understanding and helpful in executing a return. Great website. Easy to find what you need for your vehicle. No issues at all. Installed the Bilstein 4600 front shocks on my 1997 Chevy Suburban 1500. The install was a breeze and the ride is great. Will be making my next shock purchase through Shock Surplus.

Nice shocks. Getting better as they break in
The company did great and the shocks arrived quickly. I suppose my only complaints are with FOX. The rear shocks were strapped with a nylon strap which made installation easy. The front shocks were not and were about 2 inches longer than the space I had with the wheels hanging. I had to rig my own straps. Then, the clevis mounts are very nice but much thicker material than stock mounts, rendering the through bolt too short. At the price of these shocks, FOX could have included new hardware. They know their mounts are designed differently from most and require a longer bolt. Otherwise, stock bolt was in good shape and normally can be reused, but their design changes that. Update: After a month, Fox 2.0 are only marginally more compliant over small road imperfections than my former KYB monomax shocks. They do perform admirably and maintain good road contact over large ruts and dips at speed. I am not sure the performance is worth the cost on these. Bilstein 5100 may be just as good or better at half the price. The Fox 2.0 do seem to be a minor upgrade over the KYBs but then they ought to be at 3 times the price. Overall, I am satisfied with them. I wanted the control and still not be too harsh on small road imperfections. They seem to do a decent job on this and still control body lean well. They are not what I would call soft and compliant on an unloaded truck. Only time will tell if they hold up over time.

Very informative, good customer support
Very helpful company when deciding on shocks for my truck. A lot of great info on YouTube as well as if you call a rep to talk 1-1. However, after purchasing and 2-3 weeks of not shipping my order I called them and they basically said sorry something happened and they didn’t ship out. A couple days later they were on the way and arrived shortly after. Maybe save a little money on your social media marketing ads and put that towards your fulfillment team ops… other than that happy and would buy from again.

Don’t order billstein if you want it now …
Ordered a full suspension kit received the front right away! But now it’s been over a month still haven’t received the rear or any emails confirming anything with this company reached out multiple times. Heard nothing back.

Poor delivery promise!
Great price on the set of Bilstein shocks for our 15 passenger van. Better then even the main company. Shocks went on without a problem. The only problem i had, was that even though they said expected delivery was a week before I needed them for a trip, they didn't say that someone orders are shipped from different warehouses and can be delayed. So I got the first two for the front but really needed the rear. After a week, I called and they told me about the sometime delay. Said they would get back to me. For days and no call. So I called back, then the guy said I yes I remember and let me check, then said oh yes the other two are scheduled for delivery, today. When I got home they were there. Crazy way to do business! So buyer beware, you may not get your parts when they say you will, so plan way ahead.

Sent wrong item/company does not respond
We ordered rear shocks and we were sent the wrong item on June 23rd. We called, emailed, and used the chat multiple times, but there’s been no response for 12 days. Our experience is this company has a complete lack of customer service and a problem with order fulfillment errors.

Found the ICON Stage 5 suspension kit for my 2019 Land Cruiser at Shock Surplus $800.00 cheaper than I could find it anywhere else. I ordered it and it was delivered to my door within a week. The system was installed and my Land Cruiser looks awesome. Can’t wait for the tire and wheels.

Easy to work with
Easy to work with. Bought shocks more on a friend's recommendation than the website, but the website seemed to provide good info about the shocks. Liked the clear description about the shock height / amount of vehicle lift. Easy to ID what parts were right for my truck.

It took 2 weeks to get half my order
It took 2 weeks to get half my order. I had to reach out about a week after ordering, and see why it was taking so long. Only then did they ship my order out. Even though it clearly stated “ships 24-48 hours after order”
When I received an email from their office no concessions were made due to their error. Probably would order from someone else next time

Happy with the product over all but not satisfied with the delivery. I understand there may have to be 2 shipments, but what upset me was that my order was never shipped to begin with. After I ordered my parts, I waited a couple days and I never received an email saying my parts were shipped. I waited a good 7 days, and finally called. I talked to 2 people and finally they found my order , and they just told me it was never shipped. If I didn’t call it would have never been shipped. How frustrating. I understand if the parts were back ordered or not available right away, but my order was never shipped and I’m not too sure if they ever would have been shipped did I didn’t follow up. If I order again in the future I hope it’s not forgotten. They redeemed themselves a bit when they realized the error and sent it right away. I hope this doesn’t happen to other often

2008 4Runner
After some extensive chat with the experts about my 2008 4Runner, I purchased Bilstein 6112 coil overs set at 2.25" lift and OME UCA's for the front. For the aft end I chose the Eibach 1" lift springs (standard rate) with 5100 shocks (no external reservoir).
The new tires are 275/70-17, about 32.25" tall on 8.5" width rims with a -30 offset.
This 18 year old rig with 154k miles now feels completely different and "new"!!!
The stance is now awesome!
Very pleased with the purchase and the advice received from the guys.
They were spot on with their recommendations! Would buy here again.
