We have a pillar drill from 2011
We have a pillar drill from 2011. After the belt snapped I contacted SIP only to told that a replacement belt could be purchased anywhere. No size was quoted despite having been given the serial number of the machine. They couldn't be bothered.

Thank you for your review. Your query was relating to a 13 year old product, which you required a part for. Our Technical Team provided potential part numbers for you to identify which belt was needed as the factory had produced different belts for the drill in its lifetime. No response was received from you to suggest that this was unacceptable.
We also do not stock any of the belts listed for this unit that is why you were advised to try other companies.
Unfortunately, as much as we would like to help, we are unable to, due to various reasons.

Fantastic technical support
I have an old but lightly used SIP compressor that had a problem with the regulator. The company had stopped making the compressor and I could not find a replacement part. I reached out to their technical department who found a source of a new regulator. I couldn’t be happier and am really pleased that they bothered to research and solve my issue.

Up a cold creek, without a heater.
I phoned up to get a small part for our dv3711 fully expecting it to be out of stock or unavailable. The chap I spoke to was great and after I sent proof of purchase the parts was sent out next day and after fitting it the unit once again performed faultlessly.
