My nails haven't looked that great in ages!
I'm 65 and my nails were short, brittle, showing ridges and splitting vertically into the skin, which could be very painful. This had been going on for some time. Gel or press-on nails have damaged my nails even more.
I have squarish hands with wide palms and short fingers. I did not even wear my rings to avoid drawing attention to my hands.
I had given up on the idea of growing my nails, but last February, I saw an ad from Sistaco in my Facebook feed. I clicked, looked around and quickly dismissed the idea, thinking that it looked too good to be true.
After seeing more and more of those ads (because you know, algorithms...), I went back to check more thoroughly. This time I read the comments and searched the internet about the mineral bond system. What I found was really encouraging so I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered my starter kit and got to choose three free colours as part of a promotion at the time.
The choice of powders is simply astounding with so many shades and finishes to choose from. It took me forever to select my first 6 colours! I could not make up my mind! That's a really nice problem to have.
My set arrived a couple of weeks later and I did my first manicure right away, after barely glancing at one of the How-To videos from the web site. It was easy to apply and I loved the results. However, in my haste and without all the available knowledge, it started chipping after a few days. I went back to the web site, then searched the internet to realize that there was a whole support system out there, with multiple well made videos from Sistaco and other users, plus a very helpful Facebook group. A Sistahood! Very inspiring and a great place to learn new techniques like ombrés and such.
I joined the group and submitted a post about my experience and how I was happy with the system and its ease of use, but I must be doing something wrong because it did not last as long as other users mentioned and a was struggling with removal.
My post was not published. Instead, I received an email very quickly, addressing my specific issues. It provided many helpful tips and links to various videos which did solve my problem. That was a very fast and efficient response. I was impressed. My subsequent manicures all lasted from 2 to 3 weeks! When you do your homework and follow their advice, it will last much longer and can be removed without any damage to the nails.
I have now been using Sistaco for four months, and I have recently tried my first ombré with Sunshade and Gleaming, further to a tutorial found in the Facebook group. It is so pretty!
I have also placed several more orders and keep adding more colours, tools and embellishments to my collection. I found the elixir particularly good to restore my nails' health. I now apply it daily on my cuticles, keep smelling my fingers because the scent is heavenly (I look weird doing that but I can't help myself) and I am pleased to say that my nails are now healthier than ever. Even between manicures, they are shiny, the ridges are mostly gone, they are not splitting anymore and they are getting so long that I now have to file them shorter to use my keyboard properly! Another wonderful problem to have!
Oh, and I have started to wear my rings again!
(I had posted this review on the UK site by mistake. Posting it at the right place now.)
Difficult to remove, will damage your nails not make them stronger.
Like many of us Sistaco came up in my Facebook feed advertisements as a better product then salon gel with easy application and removal. Right after ordering you get an email about joining the Sistaco Collective which is basically a sales page where all comments that might give you a true understanding are deleted immediately. So you read glowing post about how everyone loves it and it's so easy to use and remove, buy more before products run out of stock or you miss a sale. FOMO and enablers all influence you to purchase more while at the same time their heavily moderated and controlled facebook page behaves more like a cult, coven or a bad boyfriend. Glossing over any issues like it's your fault and how could all these other women not be having issues when you email for help. Meanwhile, your nails are getting dryer and more brittle after each removal. Then you wonder why no one else can be having issues so you do an internet deep dive and find out Sistaco has a long history of suppressing complaints and issues with their product. So I would not trust Sistaco advertising or the Facebook Sistaco collective group. I would recommend if you do buy their system take it slow the first few months before you start purchasing more powders you may never use. Many user have issues with the base coat that does damage that takes months to resolve. The steamer for removal required me to soak my nails multiple times to get the product off even when trying to do removal as gentle as possible in pure acetone. I also tried using an efile but was afraid to remove too much and hit my nails. I am hoping to find a way to use my large collection of Sistaco powders but will definitely not be buying anymore. I hope this review finds those user who like me wanted to love Sistaco but started having suspicions that the product does not work as advertised. I did reach out to Sistaco for a sensitive base coat but found out that it was even harder to remove than the normal base coat. My nails all started lifting and even my toenails. They are getting better after I stopped using Sistaco. Look on change.org there is a petition to stop Sistaco from Oppressing Freedom of Speech.
Don't Bother
Too messy to apply
Doesn't last longer than one day
Peels off very easily which also lifts off the nail surface
And don't even think about showering or swimming with it on.... any water will lift the edges easily
Does nothing to strengthen my nails
And that's even after following the instructions to the letter.
Not worth the money
Dissatisfied experience…
I would give this zero stars but that's not possible. I received the products had difficulty using it. My biggest issue was the burning. I'm pretty sure that I might have a sensitivity to the product. I got a hold of customer service. A Woman by the name of Jessica wrote me back to say that I was probably doing something incorrectly and I should do it again I had tried twice. I had watched the videos. I was very careful following the directions. I asked how I could return the product. She has not responded I have written her two more times it has been over a week. And no response. So be very careful if you're going to spend well over $100 to buy this product. Because if you have any issues. No one is going to help you. Very very dissatisfied with the whole company.
Damaged my natural nails
Delivery took much longer than they said but it did eventually arrive. Colours are quite nice. It took me a couple of tries to get a good technique for application but once it was on I liked it. Seemed to last at least a week to 10 days before showing signs of wear. Unfortunately, unlike liquid nail polish you can’t do a quick touch-up. I used the product 4 times, leaving my nails to breath for at least 3 days between applications But it was the removal process that totally turned me away from this product. Soaking my nails in pure, hot acetone for at least 10 minutes using their removal hub destroyed my nails which were perfectly healthy before using this product. It’s been over 3 weeks since I took the polish off and my nails are still cracking and peeling. I would not recommend this product.
Poor customer service
Tried to cancel, hadn’t read the fine print and realized I could not. Has now been 3 weeks and still not arrived.
Scam of a product I was super excited…
Scam of a product I was super excited when I ordered and when I tried to apply for the first time my base and top coat bottles were nearly empty. It’s a huge bottle too. I brought it to customer services attention and they can care less and offered me a gift card then no response after. Very bad customer service and just disappointing product
Not a scam but some sketchy practices
Not a scam but some sketchy practices. They say they ship locally but in Canada in ships from the USA. If you try to review anything less than a 4 star they email you basically telling you you're wrong and to join their Facebook group (that they admin and don't let you post anything negative either). I actually tried to post a question in the group and they emailed me about it (my Facebook name and the name I used to order are different). Also, not only did it chip within 48hrs, it took a layer of my nails with it. I followed all the instructions, used the elixir, and tried multiple times and months later my nails are still destroyed.
Zero stars
Zero stars - this company is a scam, watch out!
I ordered their starter pack and received a defective top gloss (the brush is hard and clumpy, the product in the bottle is hard and clumpy) and wrote to the company to ask for a refund as I can't use the product. All I was sent was a code for 10% off a new product, REALLY now spend more money. Don't waste your money on this product!
Not as advertised
Shipping took over a month with many excuses and they wouldn't allow me to cancel my order. Once product was received, it doesn't last as long as advertised and is a nightmare to remove. This product is going in the garbage.
Difficult removal
Easy to apply, beautiful colors, and durable. Unable to remove at home. The pads do not work. The product didn’t come off as instructed and had to go to a salon to have the product dremeled off. Nail tech used pure acetone without success. Thank goodness I only had a thin layer on.
Highly do not recommend
Highly do not recommend. The final end product isn’t great. The customer and shipping times are ridiculous.don’t pay for express shipping. Find it pretty expensive with for what you get and waiting for the product.
Great company and products!
I love the interaction Sistaco has with their customers. They are very responsive and take in suggestions for products/improvements! Their product is fabulous, while an investment money wise. It is definitely worth the price!
I had ordered products from sistaco…
I had ordered products from sistaco several times and had no issues.
However, I ordered on 1/1/26 and it is now 1/21/26 and customer service has been less than helpful. I have gone back and forth by email with a customer service rep who stated they moved their warehouse so everything is delayed, told to me on the 13th, I asked when then item would ship and they had no idea. I then asked to cancel and was told that’s not an option. So I asked why I couldn’t cancel and get a refund for a product that was not shipped, nor did it even have a ship date. I received a response days later stating it shipped. When I check the tracking the label was created and as of today 1/21/26 still has not left or updated from that status.
If they would have disclosed they were changing warehouses and had delayed shipping that would have been acceptable. They did not and they are taking no responsibility or accountability.
It’s expensive for what it is. It’s no different than the cheaper powder products on Amazon.
Removing the product is difficult and also can damage your nails if not done correctly.
Buyer beware, customer service does not help at all.
The pots are pretty, the powders are meh.
After spending a boat load of money on this system, I found it to be messy and time consuming. Oh, but the pots are pretty. They said it saved time...NOT. Some of the powders work better than others and having to rub the crap out of it to get the desired effect, I decided that hema free gel polish is faster and easier. I use builder gel under all my nail applications so I didn't have to remove it with their system as I use a nail drill just until the top application is gone. Thank goodness it wasn't directly on my nails as so many others have had difficulties removing it. I am annoyed with myself that I fell for their adds. Don't waste your money. There are so many other options. If you like powders, Try peppi gel dip powders with gel polish.
Company needs to listen and respect the customer
Terrible customer service and a product that damaged my nails.
I purchased this product in March 2025 and cancelled the subscription shortly after because it significantly damaged my nails, despite being applied exactly as instructed.
After I was invited to leave a verified review and gave it one star, customer service reached out. What followed was weeks of back-and-forth communication in which they repeatedly sent additional product for me to “try again,” even after I clearly and repeatedly declined.
I contacted them again when I received a notification that another shipment was being prepared, only to be told once more that the product was not responsible for the nail damage and that I should continue using it. The additional product was delivered and immediately returned.
This experience showed a complete lack of accountability and an inability to listen to or respect the customer’s concerns.
Is there not a zero stars
Is there not a zero stars? Going on 6 weeks still no product. Paid top price and have thrown my money away. When I emailed it was over a week before any response and all they keep saying is it’s shipped. I could have walked faster so even that response is ridiculous.
I have demanded a refund so now they are ignoring me.
Please do not order. You are just throwing your money out the window and setting yourself up for much disappointed and frustration.
Easy and gorgeous!
My Sistaco sustainables bring an entirely new dimension to the happiness of my Sistaco experience! These gorgeous press-on nails make having beautiful manicures even easier, especially when you're in a crunch for time - just quickly prep your natural nail, apply an adhesive sticker, apply the sustainable nail and you're on your way!
And being able to add beautiful Sistaco mineral bond powders to these nails to change their look makes them even more versatile - you can design the nail art that you want for any occasion. These are a must-have!
Sistaco = WOW for nails
I’ve been using Sistaco products for roughly 12 months now. I have loved every colour I’ve used (Noir Diamonds and Peru being 2 spectacular standouts) and the changes in my nails is phenomenal.
My nails used to split, peel and were weak, even with cuticle oil and hand creams. I haven’t painted them for decades as polish made them soft and I didn’t want to be doing acrylic nails that would cause further damage. Regular use of the elixir has allowed my nails to grow out. It absorbs in and I love the lavender scent. I actually have to cut them now as they get too long! My nails are stronger when I have a colour on, and there are so many to choose from!
I won’t lie, I found removal challenging, but the hub and the erase pads have made that much easier. I’ve gotten better - and faster - the more mani’s I’ve done. Same with applying. My mani’s are a lot neater with the help of the precision edge, and clean up is a breeze with the beautifully scented soaps.
Be warned - if you join the Facebook groups, you will soon have a long list of colours you “just have to have”. I think I made 4 orders during the sales!
The FB groups are great for advice and Sistaco has exceptional customer service. The couple of little issues I had (wrong item sent) have been quickly and easily resolved.
If you’ve been looking at the system but haven’t yet bought, dive in. Practice makes perfect and help is at hand. Would make a great Christmas present too!
Sistaco fine lines are just great
Sistaco fine lines are just great, there is so much you can do with them, and now in multiple shades , and with glitter, saves making your own liquid mix to draw your art. As thin or thick as you want. Use and then just set with the lamp. I'm loving them , well worth a purchase. They add the #SistacoMagic to your mani
