At last, after a wait since August, the Everton 1978 away shirt has been delivered, was it worth the wait ? YES. the shirt is of good quality, the size exactly how I wanted ( X-Large) and worth the money. If you’re quite prepared to wait for a good replica top then go for it, myself? Well I think I’ll pass this time, but I look forward to wearing it the next Everton game.

Update - following my review they got in contact with an updated delivery date - 20 December. Still no top! I’ve asked for a refund or another top to be sent as it’s clearly been lost that’s even if it has been sent. Heard nothing back surprise surprise!

I ordered a football top in July. Tracking was supposed to update in September and it didn’t so I contacted them and was advised tracking will now update in October. It didn’t update in October so contacted them and was told tracking would now update on 19 November. It didn’t. Contacted them on 19 November and heard nothing back. Contacted them twice since then and I’ve asked for a refund but no response. Shocking service. Would not recommend

This is the first time I've used SM Retro and I was very impressed. Whole process from ordering, to receiving the end product was easy and hassle free. I didn't know what to expect but these guys were for above anywhere else I have seen or tried. Great quality products, excellent customer service.

Be very very careful with this company. The shirts that they sell I am sure look great - IF YOU EVER RECEIVE THEM.
Their customer service is appalling. You get an automated e-mail response saying that they are very busy (they always seem to be, why not employ more staff?) and that they will reply within 5 days. They don't.
I ordered back in August. They have had my money since then. It is now December and there is no sign of the shirts that I ordered.
The 'links' that they send to track the products do not work.
I have now given up. I never expect to receive my shirts. I haved asked for a full refund. I have not had the courtesy of a reply to that request. I have accepted that I have lost 80 quid, there really isn't much more that I can do about it now. Bunch of absolute charlatans

Awful. Payment made in September and still no shirt. The company don't reply to emails requesting a refund. Wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

Awful, just awful. Avoid SM Retro like the plague!

Bought a football shirt and had two significant issues. 1) it’s waaaay too small even though I ordered a size up. I can hardly get it over my head it’s so tiny. It’s like a childs size but it’s supposed to be XXL! 2) in the first wash (normal temperature) all the letters started falling off.

I’ve sent them an email but have obviously heard nothing back and don’t suppose I ever will.

Please save your money and do not buy from these scammers!

Although it took a while to be received , through no fault of the Company, the shirt is superb.

Utterly dreadful. I initially ordered 3 shirts and only 2 eventually arrived. I was assured that the third would follow....it didn't. The two I received are really good btw. On the strength of their "concern" about the missing shirt I ordered two more. This was in May. I took down my last review when they assured me all would be well if I did so....two deadlines have passed and Thai post have no updates on it.

I ordered 2 jerseys on 11th February 2025 at the cost of £72.18. On the 16th May 2025 my order arrived but unfortunately they had sent the wrong jersey (an order I had previously made the year before).
I was asked to send this jersey on to an address in England (which I sent registered at my own expense) while they sorted out my correct order.
On 2nd June 2025 I received a new tracking number for the correct jerseys and was told to check on July 2nd. As my last order took 3 months to arrive I wasn't expecting any update till at least September anyway. As expected no update on tracking, I check every so often and still nothing. I received a reply for my original email on 2nd September saying that they would look into it and get back to me when they hear anything. I emailed again at the start of October and was offered the same reply. I emailed again at the beginning of November and received no reply. I then emailed again on 19th November explaining that I'm not looking for a refund, just the 2 shirts that I have paid for way back in February. I also said that If I didn't receive a reply that I would be leaving a review on here to go along with the string of other bad reviews they seem to be having this month.
So this is where we are at...

An update my order
Immediately after leaving this review I was contacted and asked to take the review down. I was also offered a refund.

As I was assured that the jerseys were on their way I declined the refund. I received an email the next day informing me that tracking should show around December 9th.
It is now January 12th and there is still no tracking showing and there are no jerseys to be seen.

Ordered a shirt on 28th May.
Said it was dispatched 2nd June and that tracking would be available from 12th july waited a few days after and nothing said unknown kept checking for the next couple of weeks then contacted them and they said there delays at the Thailand post office they have me a new tracking date but the same tracking number so waited again kept checking still said unknown tracking number I have them the benefit of the doubt and kept waiting contacted them again in October to say ive still not received nothing and that im starting to believe the company is dodgy they said no we're definitely not dodgy and that's there's been awful delays they then sent me another tracking date of 27th October so after that date I've been checking and STILL saying tracking number unknown. So I contacted them and said that I believe this is a scam and im gonba contact my bank and heard nothing i sent another email saying that I want a full refund as ive been waiting 6 months and there constant excuses and that its definitely a scam and there stealing people's money and guess what not a single email back and the tracking still says unknown. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY they will keep you hanging for months and months.

Still no shirt and another email received to say that they was away and they've just got back and they are looking into my issue. And now they're trying to get my review taken down. Everything I have wrote in this review is true and facts and I have all the emails and messages to prove it

After they see this review and couldn't get it taken down they emailed me to say if I delete this review they will refund me. There customer service is ridiculous and it's still constant excuses.

Its now march 2026 and even after telling me they've sent a new shirt it's the same tracking number I've had from the beginning and OF COURSE the tracking number still says unknown.

*UPDATE nearly been a year since I ordered still no item no refund even after numerous emails back and forth its constant excuses from them. ALSO look at the most recent 5star reviews they are 100% fake.

I ordered my Leeds United burton yellow away shirt in June and still not received it. This is now 5 months waiting with emails going backwards and forwards. The Thailand tracking link does not work. My bank now is looking into fraud.

Terrible experience order made on 13th June 2025 after countless messages asking about my order the reply is either delay in Thailand postal service or we will contact you within 5 working days never happens I have asked for a refund with no reply about this

1 star generous. This shop isn't real. I ordered a top in July, I was told a series of nonsense about why the package was delayed from postal strikes that didn't happen, to months later label issue, I've told the bank and this is being dealt with as fraud.

Avoid. I bought a retro shirt in August. The tracking information provided doesn’t works I was told it would be delivered in October and November. Both dates have been missed. I have chased up. They have said they are dealing with it as a matter of urgency. I have asked for a refund 3 times and now nothing. I still haven’t received anything, no refund or response to try and resolve. I have had to now contact my bank. This was for a birthday which has now passed. Awful experience

Update - 5/12/25
Since posting this review I have had an email response saying that I had to take down this post and then they would provide a refund. Nothing I have said is incorrect. I have refused given this is my experience and since then I have not heard anything or received any refund. I have chased and had no response. I am only posting this update to support others in avoiding a repeat of this experience for them. Total scam.

I ordered a shirt on 26 June 2025. Almost 4 months later, the shirt still has not arrived. Despite various emails to the company, I get very little back. Every month I am told it is a problem with Thai Post. The Thai post link no longer works and my requests for a refund have been ignored.

Quite possibly the worst experience I have had with a company. Avoid like the plague. To make matters worse this was a 40th birthday present for a friends, which was now months ago.

UPDATE: 25 Nov. Due to total lack of response, I have been forced to contact my bank about a possible fraud. I have further started a Trading Standards investigation.

The product is fantastic. Great quality and truly a proper replica of the original. The delivery was quite painful (virtually 3 mths) but the wait was well worth it and greatfully received by my brother as a belated birthday present.
I would definitely recommend and would certainly buy from SM Retro again. Thank you.

Ordered a shirt june 2025 its now november 2025 still nothing !! They DONT keep you updated its YOU who have to chase them up , excuse after excuse about thai mailing etc AVOID them take your money quick tho !!? Strange how they have an address in bristol uk ?

Although I doubt it- but I may hold the record for longest wait. March 28th. Can anybody beat this? According to Google maps, I could have walked to Thailand and back from the UK and still had a few days left. Im not even joking. The absolute truck load of excuses they dish out, (i’ll add them later so you too can play SM Retro excuse bingo) is something else. I ordered some West Ham shirts in expectation of getting them for my son for his holiday in June! There is definitely something wrong here. Avoid unless you’re planning for xmas 2026.

Avoid this cowboy outfit at all costs. I order two shirts from them in April 2025. I patiently waited for delivery like they said, that is part of the deal. Fast forward to November 2025, 7 months later, there is still no sign of the shirts. This time the item has supposedly made it to the UK but was returned to Thailand by Royal Mail - who knows though, anything could have been in that package that was returned.

They have offered non credible excuse after non credible excuse, and refuse to acknowledge my fair requests for a refund, after 7 months of no goods.

Avoid these guys - they will take your money, give you no shirts, and continuously fob you off. If I could give minus stars I would.

I have been after a Liverpool 1979-81 3rd Shirt. This was worth the wait. When it arrived it was good quality and a great fit. Definitely recommend the company.
