Needed a boiler service done quickly and they did it within 2 days.

Was recommended this company by a friend and can honestly say from start to finish they have been top draw! … the quote I had was a few hundred pounds more than than the lowest quote I had ( I had 3 off different companies) they kept in contact with me about start dates and what they needed etc… when doing the install they fully protected my carpets and the engineers where polite and respectful to my home. The work was completed in great time and the workmanship was very impressive. Would totally recommend this company to anyone wanting a boiler rip out and replace and on a side note…. I had an issue after the install (about 2 weeks after) I was struggling to use the controls on the handheld panel and they even came round to give me a tutorial 👍 I’m crap at technology! Thanks again guys

The engineer who carried out my service was very thorough, explained everything well and answered my queries, very conscientious, wore protective shoe coverings and worked efficiently to carry out the service with as little disruption to me as possible. Gave me a call on the morning of the appointment to confirm it was still convenient and advised time for arrival, which they met.

Engineer Adam arrived on time and conducted all work professionally. Commuincation was excellent throughout the whole process. Necessary precautions were taken to ensure no damage to worktops. carpeting was also protected. All in all an excellent job carried out, 100% Customer Satisfaction !!

I booked a boiler service and also had a hot water issue, quickly identified by their operative. Jack arrived promptly for both visits, was very thorough, efficient and definitely knew his stuff. He even offered to set the heating schedule if needed and was concerned about a mark left on the carpet by a stepladder I gave him (only dust!). The office were very good too, giving clear upfront pricing and clear information, so a great experience overall and would use this company again.

Used S O'brien Heating solutions for power flushing radiators that were not heating correctly. Top marks for their engineer, Adam, who was so polite and informative.
He explained the procedure from start to finish, was extremely tidy and left us very satisfied that the work was carried out to a high standard.

From the start communication was excellent, I was listened to on what my needs were & they were all met. The workforce that came to my house were considerate & respectful, showing excellent knowledge and also tidied up after themselves to a very good standard, which is very rare.

Our boiler broke down not so long ago which left my family in a huge mess as we had no hot water or heating, after explaining our situation to one of the company directors, we had a new boiler supplied and fitted with only a few days, the engineer that arrived to complete the install was really professional and polite, he had completed the work and tested the system within the suggested timeframe, at a very competitive price . I cannot praise this company enough, working in the construction industry myself for over 2 decades I have witnessed many poor companies and seen endless sub standard work, so I can safely recommend this plumbing and heating company absolutely everybody

We had a slow leak in our kitchen that we could not diagnose. I called S O'Brien and they sent an engineer out the next day. He managed to track the leak, which was coming from upstairs. Having found it he had to pull up the upstairs carpet, cut through floorboards, repair a broken pipe and then install new parts.

He clearly talked me through everything that was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the problem and how it had occurred in the first place.

He did a fantastic job of putting everything back as it was including the floorboards and refitting the carpet like none of it had happened.

He then tested the fix which was perfect - this was two weeks ago and we have had no trouble since.

The engineer was polite and obviously highly skilled, he did all of this in about an hour without any disruption to us.

Would absolutely recommend and will definitely use them again.

He talked through all the options and gave good advice. The next day Adam was here on time to fit the new one. He was really polite and didn't grumble at all when we asked him to make some changes. Sent by British Gas wouldnt let them jet wash my drive totaly imcompetent 4 weeks on relying on British Gas to rectify their mistakes and theres loads including water damage to my ceilings bad electrics bad plumbing only thing they concerned about is weighing in the old copper tank !!!!

DO NOT USE! Back in March this year, S O'Brien sent an engineer out to a boiler that was not working to my girlfriend's dad who is 80 years old, Disable, and classed as venerable. The Engineer, Ian Brown, put a screw driver through the casing of the boiler which rendered it unsafe to use and left him without hot water or heating, the property has an immersion heater installed, and the engineer didn't bother to turn the switch on that was clearly visible in the kitchen, the engineer didn't even try find it, he was also looking round the property and we didn't know why! This company charged him £140 and refused to refund this after we complained, they even had the cheek to try and get him to have a new boiler fitter. We called a local Heating Engineer, Martin Shelton who came and checked the boiler out for free, the boiler should never have been condemned, it was only down on the form as "At Risk" which means it didn't need capping off and it was in a garage, so there was even less risks. We were away on Holiday at the time, but luckily Martin Shelton is an honest and decent heating engineer, unlike this company. I personal wouldn't use this company for the way they treat an elderly person, leaving them without heating or hot water, it was really cold on that day too. If I could rate 0 stars I would. The Engineer Ian Brow was really rude to me when I questioned him on who is worked for, he didn't seem to know who he was working for, also my girlfriends dad was a heating engineer and even he said Ian was dodgy!

We have a bad experience with S O'Brien, we booked them on a Friday through 'Go assist' to come and repair our boiler within 24 hours and engineer called us the next morning and a scheduled a time that he was going to come around 14:30-15:00 which we agreed and he call us back later after couple of hours later to say that he was coming around 13:00 which was not agreed and we would have been outside at that time so then he agreed to come at 14:30-15:00. It was 15:00 and the engineer did not turn up and did not even call us. I had call him after 15:00 to tell me that he is stuck with another customer and can not be at our place. He left us without heating and hot water throughout the weekend with children in the house. I am very disappointed.

Ethen came to us to replace the Heat Exchanger & Gas Burner & what a first class job he did. He certainly knew what he was doing & answered any questions I asked him.
I'm very grateful for the advice he gave me to help ensure we don't get a repeat of this issue. I would certainly recommend sobrienheating.com.
